My vehicle had a timing chain break, I called to get a quote and details on what it would entail. I was told we don t do quotes or anything over the phone, it wastes our time. If you bring your vehicle here then we can talk . You think I m gonna pay for a tow just to go over prices and labor?

The driveshaft of my 1997 Jeep Wrangler came apart due to a failed universal joint. Fortunately, I was able to remove the driveshaft, place the Jeep in 4WD, and drove it to Tripp s. I thought for sure that we wouldn t see it until the following week. The next morning, I received a call from Debbie, our Jeep was fixed. The repair was excellent! We cannot recall it driving this well.9/26/2022: I brought my Jeep to Tripp's, again, due to it not starting. Through creative troubleshooting, he and his technicians were able to determine that the PCM(computer) had failed. The older the Jeep, the harder to find a new PCM. Lon researched the PCM and found a company that repairs PCMs. It took a few weeks, but finally arrived. Tripp's installed it and the Jeep hasn't run so well in a long time.Again, Tripp s did an excellent job! They have all my future Jeep repair business! Thank you Lon!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Hands down best electrical trouble shooter in New Bern!!! Ten stars if it was an option. They repaired in a few days what the dodge dealership couldn't in almost three weeks. And for 1/10th what the $2900 parts/labor the dealership wanted.

The best service ever! I was traveling back from the beach when one of my truck rotars locked. We got to Tripps garage at 4:30pm on a Monday afternoon. Lon checked out my truck & ordered the parts so he could repair first thing in the morning. I had my dog with me and needed a hotel for the night. Not only did Debi find a local dog friendly hotel - Lon gave us a ride to the hotel and picked us up in the morning! Where do you find service like that? As promised my truck was ready on the morning at a fair price. Lon even called that afternoon to make sure I made it home ok. Lon and Debi are great folks - I highly recommend!

Excellent service. Was in a jam and they got me going pretty quickly. They went the extra mile and removed some rusty bolts that took longer but saved me from having to buy a whole hub assembly.

The mechanics at John Tripp's Garage were able to diagnose and repair an electrical problem with my car that left other shops stumped. Fair prices, honest and quality work, I can't give them a higher recommendation.
