Had to stop in after going to their competitors AZ with my daughter for a battery for her car. First time for her glad, ADVANCE Auto was right on time to show her that getting her own parts was easy. And sometimes they install it for you. Ok back story went To AutoZzzz first they dropped the ball so gad to drive over to Advance Auto before selling the battery Advance Auto wanted to check and make sure everything was running properly to make sure the problem was the battery. After checking the alternator and seeing it was good we went ahead and brought a battery which they installed for her. Her first time at an auto parts store glad the second stopped was a good one. Thanks to the staff member for answering all questions and taking care of the customers.

I brought my car in and ended up needing a battery and they replaced it for me promptly. They were very courteous and friendly. They are always very helpful here. Thank you guys!!

Very polite, and helpful. They didnt have what I needed, neither did their other local stores. So they called their competition to help me out. To me that shows me they could put aside competition to help the customer.

One of the few auto parts stores in New Bern that accepts and recycles used motor oil. �At least, it was the first one that I found after I had called 3-4 and learned that those stores did not recycle used motor oil. �Take in your jugs, dump the oil into the barrel, dispose of the containers in a lined bin, or take your jugs home. �Either/or. �No charge for the service and you're being eco-friendly. �The staff here was brilliantly pleasant and the store was quite busy.

In and out. Clean store. Associates assisted right away. Price were as expected and as advertised in an online search. Unfamiliar with this store but found what I was looking for fairly easily. Parking was plentiful and the store is accessed easily from the street. Will return should the need arise.

A couple days ago I went to this location because I had a #4 cylinder misfire and was looking for a particular cleaner. One of the employees Jessie came over and helped me out. I need to say that he went way above anything I could have ever expected. He tought me more about my issue which I thought I had a good understanding about already. Not only that he took the time to help me find everything I needed. I took about 15 minutes of his time which he spent helping me and checking out other customers as they rolled in. I used to go to AutoZone but after this experience and the great staff there, this is my go to parts store now. I was able to quickly resolve my issue and saved at least $200 thanks to his help.

Went there to get head light replaced, got a new battery as well. John expertly installed my battery and popped in new head light. He was also very helpful assisting me in picking out seat covers. I highly recommend this location, they know what they are talking about and they get you in and out quickly.

Like most places, there are ups and downs. Quality of service depends on who is working that day you walk in. Difficult to judge an entire chain of business based solely on that. For the most part, customer service is decent. Quality of parts not much different than anywhere else. Prices seem fair and oftentimes comparable to other chain stores. My only gripe is it would be nice if they updated their systems because one store would say they are still using the car quest system and they can't do certain things. Annoying? Yes. End of the world? No.

Went to pick up several items to work on my vehicle. They were very busy when I arrived so I decided to look around while I waited for the line to move. I found several of the items I went to get and moved to the line which was almost gone. The employee was very knowledgeable and was able to get everything I needed. I will definitely be returning to this location in the future.

Stopped in to pick up a few spark plugs and by the time I got the words out of my mouth the attendant was placing them in my hand ...very nice employee's ...lighting fast service and stocked from the bottom to the top ....what more could you ask for ...stop in and check them out ....

I have to say that Aron that waited on me was Awesome. I wish every place I went to was as courteous and professional as him. I would hire that man in a heartbeat. I'm glad I visited my friends here, I'm from Pa. and happy to know good people in our country.

We stopped here for a new battery just before 6pm. There were only 2 employees working and their policy is that only one can leave the store at a time (makes sense). But the management should know their busy times and schedule more staff at that time. The guys they had working were very good, just highly overworked. And everything slowed down when multiple people needed batteries or codes checked or.....

The store Manager Mac, always greets you with a happy and upbeat welcome. He takes the time to address all your vehicle needs even if you don t know the exact part he walks you through and helps to figure it out without making you feel like a goober.

Katie did a fanominal job price matching a throttle body for a 2010 F 150 I came to the wrong store thinking it was auto zone (which is where I needed to go from the start) and she did a great job and showed hospitality!!!!

I want to give a big shout-out to John H Advance Auto Parts for going above and beyond the Call of Duty. I had to order the windshield wiper for my car and John told me when it came in the next day I could come pick it up. But I explained to him that I was living in Maysville and it was just a little bit far he's a lot of cool what side I live in Maysville, NC. I can just bring it and meet you @the pig. Not only did he bring it to me but he brought it directly to my house installed it for me and for that I want to say thank you very much mr. John for being so kind.

Had to comment on the great service Daryl preformed for us on a Sunday at 6 o'clock. Yes he replaced the battery in my wife Mercedes. He new to use the power saving accessory. Also only took him about 10 minutes. He didn't even have to Google it.

I've shopped here for quite awhile for my two cars. Always been great until you need brakes. A few months ago, I came in for VW brakes. They sold them to me and when I got home to change them out, realized they were the wrong brakes. So, after an hour of taking wheels off and the brake pads, I had to put it all together again just to drive back and be told they sold me the wrong brakes and I'd need to wait a few days for the correct brakes. Irritating but I figured mistakes happen. Now, this last week I needed rear brakes for my Dodge. Went in with the VIN # this time so no mistakes could be made about the correct brakes. Bought what I was told I needed and left. Started to take the wheels off last night, got to the brakes and BAM, they sold me the wrong brakes again. Went in just now and all I got was, "oh the guy was new". Excuse me but if I'm bringing in my VIN number and y'all have got the computer programs to verify these parts, this shouldn't be an issue if they are new or not. It also reflects how poor management is at training. I'm done with advanced Auto, I'm going to Auto zone for now on.

This particular location of Advance Auto Parts hasn't awesome manager I own a BMW 5 Series and wanted to get some Castrol motor oil for it very knowledgeable he was or shall I say he is. But his particular location was one quart shy of what the requirement is 6 quarts. So he went on the computer found a location in Havelock that happened to have many quarts of it, but the issue is the product was being discontinued regular price is right at $10 a quart the discontinued price is $4.39 a quart so of course I want to buy as much of it as I can. Upon my arrival the next day at the Havelock location. This particular store manager should be a shelf stocker and not a manager upon informing him of New Bern location discontinuing the product which is supposed to be storewide. He chose not to listen to me nor did he want to call the New Bern location to inquire about the clearance price. He started making non-professional excuses tax bracket in such things that didn't make any sense that's why there's was not clearanced. So the New Bern location store manager is awesome I will continue to do business with this professional.
