Brad has worked on our vehicle on 2 separate occasions; once for a/c repair due to slow refrigerant leak and second time for a knocking noise in the front end. He replaced the ball bearings, took it for a test drive, still heard some noise, came back, disassembled it, and replaced the bushings in the control arms. He didn't charge labor for the disassembly since he felt it was something he should have checked from the beginning. Most mechanics would have charged for that. We appreciate his honesty and his thorough inspection of the vehicle to insure its safety. He is reasonably priced and most importantly, he is honest. We have a new mechanic. They're always thorough and fair when it comes to prices. Brad tries to get to know all of his customers on a first name basis. One of the best mechanics in town in my opinion.

Lost the serpentine belt on a drive headed out west. They called around to find parts and stopped the work they were doing to be able to get me back on my way within a few hours. To complicate things, I had the pup with me, and I was towing a trailer. They brought cold water for me and the old girl while we waited inside. Meanwhile, he worked on the vehicle out in the hot, summer sun since we couldn't get the vehicle into the bay with the trailer on it. They were fantastic and really helped bail me out of an unfortunate situation.

My VW jetta was to the point that it was going to be towed due the the front end wobbling so badly. I Asked the kind machanic to take a look see and let me know what it might cost to repair it and how long. He called me back shortly after and let me know that he could not only get the part but it would only take a short time to repair. He showed me the damaged part and explained to me what the problem was. I was amazed at the low cost and quality of work performed. He also pointed out things on the car that needed attention when I had the time to bring it in again. It feels good to trust a local mechanic with my daily driver. Just wanted to say thanks. Would definately recommend C.A.R.S. To anyone.

I would recommend Cook's Automotive to anyone who has a Volkswagen...Brad had a lot to fix, but I picked up my jetta today and it ran like a dream. Traveling between states and had unexpected car trouble, he was amazingly quick with being able to locate the broken part and fixed my car within hours which was unexpected and greatly appreciated... Also VERY reasonably priced! I would recommend to anyone local or traveling

Saved my transmission and my weekend. I was traveling from Raleigh to Asheville for the weekend and my transmission overheated due to incorrect transmission fluid put in my car a few days earlier. Brad took care of it that afternoon, and got me back on the road. He took the time explain the problem, made time for me, and did it right.
