If I could give zero stars I would. I was on a tight timeline and needed the work done while I was on a lake vacation with the family. He picked the trailer up, after I went to his business and he was a no show for our appointment. He came to our air b&b later and promised the work would be done by the time I needed to check out of the air b&b. Against my better judgment, I agreed to let him to the work. He took the trailer, and didn t return any of my calls for updates on his progress. We had to check out at the time and date I provided him but he was a no show again. We were stranded with my boat on the water with no place to go. He finally answered my call and said I could come pick up my trailer. I went to a public boat ramp and drove to his place of business while my family waited at the ramp. He didn t show up there until a couple hours later. When he finally showed up, he said he redid the lights, wheel bearings and brakes, and all was good. Charged me over $500. The brakes went out on the way home and the lights worked for about a week. All attempts to contact him were the same no answer; no call back. Complete waste of money and a total scam artist.

Absolutely amazing customer service! From Wilmington and was in the area for a fishing tournament on lake Norman when we had a hub blow out on my boat trailer which caused some serious damage to the spindle. Jp was quick to respond to my message and came out on a Saturday and repaired my trailer for a very reasonable price! Would absolutely recommend this man for any and all trailer repairs!

Great Service!!!!!I was towing a boat from Massachusetts to the Florida keys. I stopped for the night at a hotel in Mooresville and as the sun was setting on a Friday night I discovered a broken leaf spring on the tandem trailer. I found Performance Trailer through a google search and texted JP the picture of the broken spring and asked if he could help. He came out to the hotel parking lot to assess the job. By 1030 pm we had the trailer to his shop and by noon on Saturday I was back on the road with a new spring. I'm from out of town, broken down and desperate for help and my new friend JP fixes my trailer and charges me a fair price. I highly recommend Performance trailer.

Driving through Statesville on our way up to New York from Orlando. Stopped at the I-77 rest area and discovered a broken leaf spring on our 38' TT. Through a Google search discovered JP and Performance Trailer of NC. He met me at the rest area, we got the trailer back to his shop and within 4 hours replaced both rear springs with heavier duty ones. We were back on the road within a day. He even called a day later to ensure we made it back. Great customer service, friendly environment, straight up good guy. Thanks JP.

I bought a boat trailer 6 months ago and the leaf spring box broke off from the trailer mounting strap The trailer also needed tail lights that worked properly. I dropped my trailer off on Sat evening and was back on the lake Monday night. JP got the repair done, wheels pointed right direction, and tail lights installed. He also checked my bearings and gave me some future maintenance tips and things to watch for.It is very hard to find quality work and knowledge at such a fair price. Any time I need a repair I'll be back. Highly recommended.

I myself have personally done business with JP Malone for 10+ years and in numerous types of business dealings ranging from racecar part selling/purchasing, packaging and delivery to NC State trailer inspections and repairs. JP is one of the most honest and prompt individuals I have had the pleasures of doing business with over the years. Thank you Performance Trailer of NC!

JP goes above and beyond great customer service. My family and I were traveling from PA to SC on New Years Day with my boat in tow when the inner bearings went out. There was no way possible that I could replace them on my own with the limited resources I had. Fortunate for me and the situation , we decided to stop in Mooresville NC where I found JP and performance trailer of NC on google. Long story short, JP bent over backwards to accommodate me. Not only did he repair my trailer he also offered delivery. There is not enough good things that I can say about JP and Performance Trailer. The service and the accommodating professionalism exhibited speak for themselves. I will bring any and all of my trailers to JP from now on. The drive is worth it.

Great service on a holiday!! I had a broken bolt that holds the leaf spring on a triple axel trailer. Very knowledgeable and experienced, had the right tools and part to get us back on road with in 2 hours.

JP is very honest and good guy. I wish there would be more business owners like him. He was able to fix my old axle instead of me buying a new one. I would definitely recommend him and most likely will come back in future.

Got a quote to replace the tongue on a old boat trailer from a place close to LKN. I then reached out to JP whose location was actually very close to my house and he charged me less. It was a slightly complex job but he got it done and delivered my boat trailer to me when he finished. Great guy to talk to and get information. He will be my trailer resource for life. Thanks JP.

October 2020 - JP came and met us when our trailer broke down. We took it to his shop and he has since disappeared. We called the Rowan County police and they indicated they ve had several calls about him over the years. He has an issue of taking peoples trailers in and then disappearing. We have been without a trailer for over a month and he has stopped returning phone calls. I was shocked when I realized we were not the only company/people having problems with JP at Performance Trailer given his high ratings on google. Recently, while I was in his parking lot (hoping to get an answer) there was another person there also looking for him. Apparently he had taken their generator in and was supposed to install it on their trailer but again disappeared with the generator & trailer. For all the positive Google reviews, knowing what we now know, I WOULD STRONGLY DISCOURAGE TAKING YOUR TRAILER TO PERFORMANCE TRAILER.

Reliable company. Great service.Our driver needed to fix his trailer bumper after an incident at a shipper. These guys managed to fit us in their schedule and they did a good job in just few hours!Thumbs up to Malone and the team!

JP Malone will not give me my property back. I have requested my property back unfinished and will pay for all work completed but, will not answer my calls or a demand letter from my attorney. Do not take your stuff to him. He will keep it for no reason. He has my taco trailer and my brand new $3600.00 generator. I am out of business because of him and will have to go to court to get my stuff back and sue for loss of revenue. For all i know he has sold it. Please save yourself time, money, and stress. Police are not helping.

Thank you for all of your help! You went above and beyond for us! Even checked on us to make sure we made it home. You don t find to many companies like this one! Coming from out of town and to find someone like Mr Malone that just jumped in and helped like he did. We couldn t ask for a better company. We will always come to you for anything! JP and Performance Tailer of NC in Mooresville are crooks. We can't believe this company has a decent Google rating which probably leads unsuspecting customers to them. Looking at the reviews, our company was also scammed by JP about two years ago, but we thought it was a single situation and were too busy to stop and do anything about it at the time. We probably should have posted a reivew then to save others the trouble. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH JP or PERFORMANCE TRAILER OF NC.

I had 2 holes in my roof of my 53ft trailer and it was raining hard and my trailer was leaking. I called performance trailer of nc in mooresville to see if they could help me, call at 2pm and was repaired by 4pm and i made my appointment in Charlotte nc by 7pm..JP was great to work with and was very timely and prompted with his service and repairs.Conveniently off i77 at exit 35 in Mooresville NC

In hearing about a trailer entrusted to this owner for repairs months ago that has since not been repaired, returned and no communication to resolve, I see on these reviews that this story is not the only one. This is outrageous and is void of integrity. It is also unbelievable that the law does not protect people in these situations; while there is perhaps some course of action, the system works against those who are wronged thus protecting the unscrupulous.

The worst service I have ever experienced. You can never get ahold of him and he won't update you on what's going on which is nothing. He had my trailer at his place for a few weeks and didnt get anything done so i finally went and picked it up and he has one of my wheels but I can't get ahold of him to get it back.

Awesome service and told me exactly what I needed to get and fixed it right on the spot also went above and beyond with doing the grease seals and checking for other problems.
