I cannot say enough positive things about this family owned business. I went here to get help with my AC in my 2017 Camaro, after it began leaking Freon. Everyone from the front desk to the mechanics were so helpful and I never once felt like they were giving me a run around. It was clear from the start that their main goal was to fix my car at the lowest price they could. Unfortunately, the problem was in my dash, so the most expensive fox was unavoidable- but we only went to that after they tried a more simple, cheaper solution. Although I knew the simpler fix may not solve the problem and agreed to take the risk, the owner refused to charge me for that because it did not solve the problem. I would recommend this company to anyone with no doubts. I am thankful for them and happy that there are still honest people out there who work to take care of their customers!

Took my Corvette here to get the AC condenser replaced. I ve also taken a 1990 Miata to the shop years ago to rejuvenate the AC. This is an honest shop with fair pricing, would 100% recommend to a friend or even my own mom. While replacing my condenser, they went above and beyond, finding my radiator extremely dirty, they showed me and took the time to clean it, most places would just ignore this. At the end of the day the labor was about 1/3 of what I was quoted by a local Chevy dealer. Five star experience.

I went to Petty s cool shop based on a recommendation from a trusted source in Monroe. I decided to go to them based off of the reviews you see on this page. However, when I took my bus there, the initial $2500 (replacing all AC hoses and lines) repair only lasted 3 weeks until I had another leak that was supposedly unrelated to the first repair. Also this repair only got 1 of the 3 AC units in the bus working. The second time, I took my bus there to get a AC recharge - Also, Petty s charges $40 a pound for r-134a (most vehicles take this type) Freon which is criminal. You can get Freon MUCH cheaper elsewhere. Then a 3rd time, I got an evaporator replaced based on their recommendation ($850) worth of work. I took my bus to the manufacturer (TransArtic) who diagnosed the problem as an electrical issue that did not power the remaining units. The manufacturer repaired All 3 units and fixed a condenser leak for $637.Petty s said there might be an electrical issue but they needed wiring diagrams to look into the issue. I would have liked if Petty s straight up told me that they could not fix the issue instead of charging $4000+ to fix other things that may or may not have been broken.Ultimately I felt taken advantage of by these people and other mechanics that I have told my story to agree.

I have an unusual Japanese import. AC went out. Petty's brought one in that didn't fit and I brought one in that didn't fit. I'm still trying to locate, but they didn't charge me anything for the effort and kept me in the loop at all times. Mary and Chase are a pleasure to work with!

After finding that I needed a new air compressor I was referred to Petty s Cool Shop and I could not have been more pleased with my service. It turned out that my car (Mazda 3) was a very difficult case and it took MUCH WORK to figure out the problem, but Tim and Chase worked tiredlessly week after week until they solved the issue. I would 100% recommend them to anyone with AC issues. Very professional, honest, nice, and hard working people!

Had ongoing issues with the A/C in my 2006 Toyota Avalon. Past several years had different shops mess me around and never get to the root cause of the issue. Dropped the car off at Petty s Cool Shop they put some dye in it and immediately located the issue in the Evaporator. This is a tough and labor intensive job but they completed the work in a timely manner for a reasonable price. Blows freezing cold for the first time in years. If you need your A/C problem solved once and for all this is the place to go.

I have been taking my cars to Pettys since I first got my license (15 years now). They will take care of you, tell you how it is, be straight shooters on what you need, and never recommend anything you don t need. Very reliable. Always very happy with pettys.

I've been going here for a 4 years now. I really never thought I would ever recommend an auto repair business, but Petty's is family owned and treats customers fair. I had defective parts on 2 occasions during the past 4 years. Petty's honors their warranty. They repaired both free of charge. People sticking to their word is hard to come by these days. They will definitely have my business for years to come. Thanks for the great customer service!

Not as expensive as anyone else. Had to replace an AC Evaporator core. I was quoted as much as $1500 and many places just refused to even work on my vehicle and told me to go to a dealer. Tim quoted me much lower than anyone els. I brought my car to him on a Friday and he said he will do everything he can to have it ready on Monday. He did!Now I freeze in my car!!!!Does excellent work and he comes with my highest recommendation!!!You won't be disappointed.

Just like all the other reviews say, Tim is definitely a cool dude, not to mention trustworthy, knowledgeable and fair priced. Fixed our work truck A/C in just a couple hours after we tried to fix it ourselves for weeks. Highly recommended.

Finally, a mechanic I can trust. He is very knowledgeable and informed me on what was wrong with my car before working on it and gave me a reasonable estimate. No surprise rates after work was completed. I was completely satisfied with the repairs and prices. I will continue to go there for all my car repairs big and small. I would recommend them always to friends and family. You wont be disappointed!

Everyone in the Shop was professional and knowledgeable. I went in just to see if my breaks for going bad and behold my breaks and rotors needed repair. Mr. Petty was honest with me and his prices were great compared to near by competition. I definitely recommend Petty s Cool Shop for all automotive repairs.

Dropped car off Toyota highlander a non cooling problem. Patrick called me back a short while later told me condenser had a leak. Told him to fix it and check the knobs inside which i figured were faulty. He said infact they were and how to get them to work. Also said he could put a repair kit and that would fix the problem. Awesome Service would Recommend to anyone. Thanks guys

I finally found a place in the Charlotte area that I can trust! Tim and Chase will really diagnose the car issue and pinpoint and fix the problem that is causing your issue. So many places charge for the possibilities rather than diagnose the actual causes and main issue at hand. Thank God they never charge you for extras here. That is invaluable, and it's why I am a customer for life at Tim Petty's Cool Shop!-Robin

Honest. 2nd time I used this gentleman. Had the work done right there, right then the first time. 2nd time was my wife's car, and he didn't try to take advantage of her, good fair price and finished the work in 1 day.

The positive reviews have to be fake, took it it for what the said would be a less the $200 fix, called me later said they did test and I could pay $170 if I wanted to pick it up or pay $740 to have it fixed,thought I was getting it fixed, got it back after paying $747, had three more problems than I had before I brought it in, went back,they wanted more, and wanted to repair things I already had fixe, also wanted $300 plus to put on front brake pads that wear put on recently, would never use them plus didnt attempt do do work I got billed for
