Amazing how God works (my personal viewpoint). We desperately needed to replace our aged Mitsubishi and also find a vehicle for our son. We were very protective of our one good car - then it got rear ended. The collision place wanted to total it. Not the direction we wanted to go. Who would fix my car? Someone mentioned Hojco and Mike. After talking to Mike, all my concerns melted away. Mike is a can-do guy. No one in Indian Trail is doing what he does. He would see our car the next day to see if he could fix it, and he had some super vehicles fixed up for sale. Now we have a perfect fixed up Nissan, and we also drove away with a Honda dream car for our son. (We also plan to look at a vehicle for ourselves soon.) I personally think God enjoys providing for people s needs through Mike and Hojco. He s just that kind of guy! Call him!

Last year, I went to Hojco to buy a car for my children to get back and forth to school. I met with Mike, and he was very knowledgeable and showed me his inventory. I found the right fit , and I bought a Maxima!My son uses it most going back and forth to college. On one of his trips home, he noticed a humming sound. He told me about it . Also, the headlight was out. So, we decided to take the car to a mechanic to have the light replaced.The mechanic fixed the light but also said the transmission was failing and I was going to need to spend over 6k for a new one! They said to keep an eye out on shifting and come back if I need it replaced.I immediately knew something wasn't right, so I got home and texted Mike. Even though I bought the car about a year ago, he stood by his work!I went down to Hojco the next day, and Mike looked at the car engine with me and noticed that there were hoses missing ! He then hooked up a computer to analyze and read the codes and saw there was nothing wrong with the transmission! He asked me to drop it off to install the part that was going bad and flush the fluids.I did and when I came back the bill was just over 100 dollars. When I arrived to pick up the car, Mike informed me that lots of things in the engine were disconnected which was very concerning too. I am not sure how that happened as it appeared they were disconnected and not reconnected which made the driving of the car unsafe. I had no work done on the engine at all.However, this just shows you that Mike is a hard working honest man who sticks by his work. I definitely made the right decision by purchasing a car from Hojco, and I plan on recommending him for anyone who needs a car and doesn't want to spend a whole lot for a brand new car. Also, Hojco won't try to "find" something to make money like most of these mechanic shops around and invent issues just for money.I can't say it enough times - Hojco is the best place to buy a car! I highly recommend it!Thank you Mike and Hojco for the car and honesty to keep the car running smooth!

I'm happy we purchased a car from Mike at Hojco! In August 2023 I bought a 2003 Nissan Xterra for my college age son. It's his first car and I wanted him to have something safe but also could take a bit of abuse and be a learning vehicle. Mike was great to work with, we looked at a few Xterras in his yard. Mike did some agreed upon work on the car before we took delivery, he painted the hood and serviced the transmission. When we picked it up Mike explained to my son all the things he should look for while maintaining the vehicle.For the last few months the Xterra has been solid. Its a 20 year old vehicle, so there were some minor things I wanted Mike to look at over Christmas break. Dropped the car off and Mike did everything we discussed and his prices were reasonable.Thats the difference when you purchase a car from Mike! He cares about the product he provides, does what he says he will do and cares that your child has a safe reasonably priced car. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again.

We went to Hojco after striking out at many traditional independent dealers. We were defeated with the limited options elsewhere. As soon as we met Mike at Hojco we knew we were in good hands and would find a reliable, safe car for our teen daughter. We actually had so many choices - a good problem to have. Mike is extremely trustworthy and is upfront about the cars he buys and the service he performs. He listened to our needs and made helpful recommendations to steer us in the right direction to purchase the best car for us! We have since recommended him to many of our friends and plan to have the car serviced at Hojco to keep it running well. Go see Mike at Hojco!

I just wanted to share a recent positive experience we had buying a car for our new teen drivers in the family. We purchased a 2004 Nissan Xterra suv from Mike Hojnowski at Hojco Automotive. The whole process was smooth and easy from start to finish. His pricing is fair and reasonable. Mike is also very transparent, honest and runs a solid local business. Even when the worried mom (me) questioned a steering concern, Mike gladly took a look at the car and made an adjustment after we purchased the car. It sounds like most of his cars go to new teen drivers, but they are great for anyone looking for a solid, safe vehicle at an affordable price. I actually found him via one of the local mom groups and I m so glad I did!

After looking for weeks for a car for my teenage daughter, I came across Hojco Automotive. When reading reviews and perusing the website, I felt good about the company. After meeting Mike, I felt great about it!!Mike has teenagers of his own and understands the wants and needs of both teens and parents. He sold us a great car at a great price and put our family at ease by offering a warranty. He was happy to fix a punch list of small items and had our new car back on the road in no time.It is good to know where I am going to buy my next car when my son is old enough to drive. I would highly recommend Hojco!

Mike has a unique way of selling cars. It's not the kind of place where you go to a car lot, pick out your favorite and walk away. He's providing a sound mechanical machine and stands behind his work. You have to be able to visualize what the end product will look like, but this also allows you a little more flexibility.We reserved a 4runner with Mike, he kept us updated while he was working on it, and we've had a great experience. He has a keen eye to spot potential issues and will tackle them before handing the vehicle over, and will work to ensure that you and your family feel safe.Keep in mind, you're purchasing a used vehicle, and there's only so much that someone can find and fix, so there's no guarantee that it will be "perfect", but I feel absolutely comfortable with my teenager driving it on a daily basis. Did we have a follow-up issue for Mike to look at? Yes. Did he care for it quickly and to our satisfaction? Absolutely.We have recommended Mike to all of our friends with new drivers in the household. He's engaged in the community, and made us feel like he was caring for us as if we were his personal family.

Mike was the best car buying experience I have had he is very patience and knowledgeable. I purchased a car for my teen daughter and he is always available to answer any questions she has about her car. He is always to willing to fix any issues that come up and he always goes above and beyond. I have also taken my other cars to him for repair work. If I can give him more than 5 stars I would. I recommend mike to all my friends and family. He is the best!!!

We cannot recommend Mike and his business anymore if you are in need of a reliable, sound car for a new driver. Mike is honest, fair and willing to help you beyond the purchase of your automobile. We have purchased 2 vehicles from Mike for two of our teen sons and couldn t be happier. He provides excellent customer service, was always available for any of our questions and goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. We have had such a positive experience that we will be looking to purchase our 3rd vehicle from Mike in the very near future. He is honest, has the fairest prices on maintenance and just a great person. I recommend him to family and friends who are in the market for a used vehicle. Wish I could give him 10 stars!

I have not wanted to post negatively but today was the last straw. The button to turn the temperature of the heater up was stuck on my daughters car purchased from Hojco. When I was trying to move the button, it popped off. The button had been GLUED ON, it was broken and never fixed, just hidden. This is truly a deceptive practice. Other things to be aware, I had 3 separate people tell me, unsolicited, that it was the worst bodywork and paint job they have ever seen. The frame is bent, causing the rear door and hood to not close properly. This was not disclosed as indicated on the website. It is less than a year and the new paint is already peeling. The car has 3 different shades of blue, the colors are not computer matched. Some of the paint was missing the topcoat or it was oversprayed. Our mechanic found the stereo wires were incorrectly wired. He said he has seen this same thing cause fires. I had to have the belt replaced that supposedly he replaces. The brakes were rusted. Hojco intentionally broke the dashboard to force a cheap stereo into a slot that was too small and also damaged the stereo he removed so I could not use that. Speakers buzz. I will not say anymore about the stereos he offers, just do not buy it. I want everyone to be aware that his declaration that this car qualifies as a rebuilt title cover him from lawsuits over the poor workmanship that is done when restoring the car. Caps on the bumpers promised but never given, instead she has two holes. This car was for our daughter and we are very uncomfortable with her driving it, will probably need to look for another car. Truly $11,000 poorly spent on our part plus the additional $2000, so far, to repair items.

Back again after another fantastic experience with HojcoWe are a steady, loyal customer. With 3 teenagers now grown, Hojco has supported us with quality, reasonably priced vehicles that have been dependable and safe for our family. The cars are reconditioned with pride and Mike stands beside his work, when somethings goes wrong.One of my kids had to replace his vehicle due to an accident. Mike quickly found similar car, did the necessary repairs and reconditioning and had him on the road ASAP.If you have a new driver or looking for a dependable daily driver for reasonable price, hit Mike up first.

We are so lucky to have found this shop! My son purchased his first car from Hojco automotive and it has been a great first vehicle. Affordable and dependable, which is exactly what he needed. They were always quick to offer to answer any questions and even filled up the tank before we drove it off the lot. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

Bought a 2004 Nissan Xterra from Hojco Automotive for my high school son that Mike (the owner of Hojco) previously fixed up and sold to another customer, who drove it at college for a couple years. Mike specializes in several vehicles, especially the Xterra, which are big and safe vehicles for high school and college students to drive. Plus, the kids like the looks and functionality of them. I looked at several vehicles of his before settling on this particular Xterra and Mike never applied any sort of sales pressure along the way. He was very patient with me and we visited his shop several times. He treats his vehicles like they are one of his ownIn fact, Mike sticks by his work and offers a 3-month warranty. What made me ultimately decide to buy from Mike is knowing that he is a resource moving forward to consult with or hire whenever a major repair service is needed on the vehicle. Before and after we bought the vehicle, Mike has always answered questions via text promptly. I attached recent image of our Xterra after we just detailed it. Made it look almost brand new!

After a recent accident, I was in need of reliable transportation fast. Mike sprung into action, found the almost identical car and did a quick recondition. The 'new' car had a bit of damage on the rear bumper but Mike repaired it to like new condition.So nice to have an option for reliable transportation without breaking a college students budget.

Purchased for daughter...did not have a good experience:-Did not receive a shiny vehicle as seen in happy teen pictures...spent dozens of hours rubbing out paint finish, deep cleaning entire interior including floors, seats, headliner...scrubbing caked on blackness on wheels-Car leaked for 14 months from rain, backseat and trunk-Had to fill used tires with air 3x a week...purchased new tires-Finally got a new trunk lid to fix the trunk leak but then put screws thru it in addition to charging me additional money-Paint job peeled...not addressed...told me to touch up myself with a q-tip-Body work not aligned-Radiator fans unplugged causing strain on a/c system...had to replace serpentine belt and ac compressor drive belt-Purchased a new radio/camera that was not installed correctly-Wish I had more "before" pics but didn't think it would turn out this way in the beginning, was nice at first but turned after not being able to keep all of the pre-purchase promises

Mike does a great job with these vehicles. Great value for a quality ride without breaking the bank. For parents with first time drivers, looking for a safe quality ride for their teenager or for someone looking for reliable transportation without spending an arm and a leg, Mike's the guy. Have bought a couple from him for me and my kids. He's usually my first call when I'm looking to make a move.

Great first car for our teen driver. Once we decided what we wanted, Mike found it quickly, got the necessary repairs sorted out, and ready for us (even coordinating a new paint job!). He's been there post sale to fix a couple of minor after the fact repairs and is more than fair with his pricing.

It was a pleasure doing business and I have nothing but good things to say! Had an issue with a Wire connecting to the battery which wouldn t allow my car to start and he came out and fixed the problem in the rain on his own time free of charge. Would highly recommend to anyone! Especially for teens/ Young adults looks for safe and reliable first vehicle at a more than fair price!

Bought first vehicle 4 years ago and had some additional work done by Mike after daughter his a deer at 50mph. She walked away with only a small scratch on her thumb. Definitely great cars for first time drivers, safe and dependable. Buying a second for my other child next month
