I was told that they were the best by the guys at O'Reilly and they could help me when my 2008 Honda Civic got sick. Guy's there got her well when another messed her up. Later while doordashing late night early morning I had issues. At 4: 00 in the morning Ron took time to see what was wrong and fixed it at no charge I may add. Anyone who would do that for a stranger says a whole to me. I give them 6 stars for just having a heart in such hard times. THANKS.

Extremely unhappy and disappointed with my service from the head mechanic Cliff and the owner Ron at Recon mechanics. They did not communicate with me well whatsoever throughout the entirety of my car being in their care. I was more than patient and understanding for more than 3 months of them having my car, with no real major issues to even be fixed to begin with, but in all it took OVER 4 months for them to make a few minor repairs and it still isn't finished. Now I have to take it somewhere else to have it all looked over and completed after being ripped off and out of work and transportation for a third of a year. On top of that, they left my car filthy, cat prints all over inside and out, brand new floor mats are ruined with grease and oil. I had one key to my car when I took it there (which they were aware of) and they lost it, and also charged me $200 for the replacement. I had a brand new battery in my car when I took it there that was warrantied for 3 years, that same battery is no longer in my car and they wouldn't give it back. If there was a 0 star option that would have been my choice. Very unprofessional I DO NOT recommend!!

Best auto repair in Monroe! I ve been a regular customer for 5 years now and have NEVER had a problem. Ron really knows his stuff! The first time I brought him my car he quickly corrected a poor repair (done twice already) by a shop up in Concord. Ron is honest, professional and the ONLY mechanic I let touch my car!

I wish I could give this place no stars. The experience I had with this place was beyond awful! They quoted me one price and charged me another. When I called to get information and try to understand what took place I was yelled at and disrespected. I was treated really badly. When I asked to speak with management the lady (Amy) laughed as if I told some kind of joke and proceeded to talk to me disgustingly. She (Amy) stated that if I didn t like the price (the new price) that she could keep my car and sale it. Would I recommend this place? NO!

DO NOT BUY. TERRIBLE place to purchase a car!!! I was one of the unfortunate ones who trusted them, TWICE. When I originally purchased the car they told me that they were selling it for a friend and that everything should run smoothly. I drove it for a week before the transmission went out on me and all the belts started sounding like death. I brought it back and they told me they would fix the transmission and resale it in order to get my money back. They have had it for 6 months and just told me to come get it due to them not doing anything to it and not being able to sale any of their cars (probably due to them all being near the breaking point!!) I am young and work hard for my money, I really did not appreciate how they let my car set for 6 months before they contacted me to come get it. It sitting there has brought all kinds of extra issues to it. DO NOT RECOMMEND for any reason whatsoever.

On 11/5/2020 Promar Engine sold a remanufactured engine(Ford 5.4 ) to Auto Recon. We do not charge a core charge for any of the engines we sell. We do require the purchaser to return the core (old engine removed from vehicle) by our pre paid bill of laden, with a freight carrier. We have called Auto Recon several times to get our core returned. The owner stated that we charged him a core charge, which in truth, never happened. We asked him to prove his allegation and he has not provided any paperwork to substantiate his claim. To date the core has not been returned, his warranty on this engine has been voided. For the person that had this engine installed in their car, Auto Recon has forfeited your warranty.
