For me, Formac was easy to work with. When I called the first available appointment to have my car looked at was 2 weeks out, but the issue wasn t preventing me from driving so I was okay with that. I arranged to have it dropped off instead of waiting. They called me after diagnosing and were very helpful and clear in explaining what it needed, what those parts do, and a timeframe to pick up. This is a no frills shop but they are helpful and fairly priced. My car was in good condition when I picked it up so they were mindful of the steering wheel, floor, and seat when in it. There is a sign posted to make an appointment for state inspections, and if you pay using a card they charge a processing fee. If you sit on the bench outside, be mindful because it s weak and bends from age. I m not sure if they could help me in a pinch if my car was broke down, but if I need work down where I have the option to make an appointment and ride it out until that appointment, I ll go back here.

Small-town service at its best. I called Formac this morning to ask if they could help me with a dead battery, they drove to my house within 30 minutes (on a very busy day for them), jump-started the vehicle, and thus allowed me to drive to get a new battery. Didn t charge me a cent for the service, and wouldn t take any money for it. They have helped me out more than once when my vehicle needed repair so that I could quickly get on my way to work. Their work is top-notch and their customer service is what we all remember from the good old days. Services: Tires, Auto battery replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

This place is outstanding. I have never had such professionalism and kindness from any other auto shop. They went above and beyond for me 3 times I highly recommend them. They also have USMC Vet working there and has great attention to detail.Thanks Formac!

They are very nice and considerate. They worked with me however I needed it and made sure my car was good to go after the repairs. It's never ran better since I had it! So far so good on the turbo replacements.

On our way back from the mountains to Raleigh, our check engine light came on and shortly thereafter the car began jerking and the engine was running really rough. We still had 2+ hours to go so we decided to find some place to have it checked. Formac Automotive showed up on google as being pretty close so we chose them. We could not have been more pleased. It was already 3:30 in the afternoon but they took our car in and diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. The were able to get the part from the automotive supply store, fixed the issue and we were back on the road in less than an hour. The guys were courteous, thorough and super helpful. These guys are a great local shop in Mocksville, NC. They stand behind they re work until your vehicle is repaired 100%. My wife and I haven t had a lot of luck with car repair shops but these guys are QUALITY! THEY DO A GREAT JOB THERE IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF PROBLEMS WITH YOUR VEHICLE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND KNOW HOW TO FIX IT I SUGGEST ANYONE TO GO BY THERE BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING WHEN THEY WORK ON YOUR CAR AND THEY ARE NOT THE ONES WILL TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE LIKE SOME OTHER PLACES WILL THEY ARE VERY HONEST AND VERY RELIABLE BUT RIGHT NOW THEY HARD TO GET PARTS IN DUE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCE FROM THE CORONAVIRUS SO THEY CAN'T HELP IF YOUR CAR IS NOT FIXED SOONER THAN EXPECTED SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO WAIT THREE OR FOUR WEEKS BEFORE I GET A PART OR AS MUCH AS 2 MONTHS SO DON'T BLAME THEM IF THEY CAN'T GET A PART FOR YOU ON TIME

Fair prices, I was in and out pretty quick. The place is a little shabby, there isn't much room, and it in a poor location. With all that said, they have good customer service and that makes up for any of the buildings shortcomings. Drive slow when you get close because its really easy to miss the driveway.

We were passing through on I-40 when we developed a brake problem. We coasted into Formac Automotive and, even though it was Friday afternoon, the guys at Formac jumped on it and we were back on the road in less than an hour and at a very reasonable price. We've never been to Mocksville but based on our experience at Formac, it must be an awesome place.Service: Brakes

I had a battery that was bought somewhere else that was defective. The guys at Formac happily changed my battery for me. One of the employees even reconnected my battery cable and checked my charging system. I would Definitely recommend this shop.

This place is a ripoff. They supposedly replaced the rear catalytic converter on my vehicle. It developed a real bad exhaust leak. Just found out they did not replace the converter. They evidently cleaned the old one out and cracked the manifold in the process. Nothing was said about the cracked manifold. It was not leaking before they worked on it. Instead they tried to hide it. They welded the crack in the manifold but it did not hold. Now I am having the converter replaced by a reputable mechanic that can be trusted. $750 wasted! I will spread the word on them to everyone I talk to!
