This was the very first European auto shop I took my then VW Corrado to back in 2005... when I just moved to Charlotte. I've used a variety of other shops in the area over the years. In the end, I guess I've come full circle back to Touring Car. Highly recommend them!

Touring car is as good as it gets for any vehicle work. I ve been coming to Touring car for 10+ years with a range of vehicles (two different 335 s, M4, C300, and a GLC300) and the service has always been top tier. The team is the best in the business and I can t speak highly enough about them. 10/10 recommend.

Dan and the whole team at touring car were great. I had them recently upgrade my cooling system to stainless and do a complete replacement on the gas tank. They were also able to do my whole front suspension and the attention to detail was great! They are very familiar with vanagons and I would highly recommend them.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Over the last 10+ years I ve brought several euro cars (BMW 335s, Audi S4 s, BMW X5d) in for general maintenance, yearly services and even a few aftermarket modifications and have always had fantastic results and experiences. Max is the guy! I don t think there is anyone as knowledgeable as Max on most euro cars but especially BMW/Mercedes/Porsche. He s a wizard with his knowledge, always diagnosis issues right the first time and is meticulous with his jobs. I d recommend Touring Car to everyone and anyone. They performed a pre-inspection of a BMW I was evaluating remotely. Their inspection was comprehensive, and their report was very detailed. Further, they took the time to help me interpret the report and gave trustworthy information. I would gladly do this again if the opportunity arises!

Great service, fantastic pricing, knowledgeable staff, for a job well done every time. I've been struggling with my 2016 Volkswagen Touareg to find affordable maintenance on this vehicle. The prices at the dealerships in Charlotte and Concord, and I believe there's one in Ballentine. Insanely overpriced that it finally pushed me to look outside of these horribly priced dealerships. I found two shops in the area that had great reviews and knew what they were doing and so I took a chance on this company and they have 100% earn my business for the lifetime of this vehicle.

Been going to Touring Car for 10+ years to service multiple European cars, specifically BMWs and Mercedes. The team is great, extremely knowledgeable, and will tell you exactly what is going on with your car. I ve never had a bad experience. It s fun to go there too. They always have something interesting they are working on. Ive been taking my 1985 Westfalia to Touring Car for over a year. They have worked on various parts of my van. Incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help. Truly a godsend for owning a vintage VW. Touring Car is far and away the most qualified shop to handle all of your European and specialty auto needs. I have been going to Max for help with my BMW X5 for years and he is one of the most knowledgeable BMW/Mercedes experts I know - and those aren't the only makes they specialize in. They always give me their fair and objective assessment on any given issue so I can make an informed decision and never feel pressured. They also have a knack for finding multiple solutions to problems so you have a range of options based on price. That said, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal outside of DIY, but you'd be missing out on their expertise. Do yourself a favor and trust these guys to handle all of your auto needs in the future. Had a PPI (pre purchase inspection) done on a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The owner of the shop Dan was very thorough and explained everything. This way I knew what was cosmetic and what was serious. My husband and I were so thankful that Touring Car was only 6 miles away when a warning light came on suddenly as we were passing through on a long road trip. The owner Dan welcomed us and had his mechanic take a look at our MINI without delay. He diagnosed the problem quickly, reassured us, and advised us on a pragmatic plan that would get us back on our trip without delay. For these services, he charged a reasonable fee that was worth the peace of mind and expertise. I would recommend Touring Car to anyone looking for trustworthy expert care of a European car

I wanted to provide this review as I have found my experience with Touring Car and the owner Dan, exceptional. I have used Touring Car for a Tire Rack install and was painless and extremely professional. This week I had an issue with my wife s car a 2013 BMW X5 Diesel going into Power Save mode. I took it to Dan, and his team were extremely thorough in diagnosing the problem and turning my wife s car around quickly. I will continue to take my vehicles to Touring Car and Dan for service and they are much cheaper than the dealership. Thanks Dan!!

Could not be happier and will not go anywhere else! I have three BMWs - two somewhat older daily drivers and a SpecE36 race car. I trust Gerald and Touring Car with all three, and if you knew me you would know that trusting someone with my cars is a BIG deal! Gerald is a savant with everything from diagnosing/fixing problems with my daily drivers to setting up the suspension on my race car. Everyone there is professional and fair and I have been going there for years and will continue to go there. Where is the six stars button? Kudos!!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Touring Car was the fifth place I visited over the course of several months but I wish I had gone there first! I I even went to the BMW dealership twice who could not diagnose a vibration I was experiencing that shook my car when accelerating (bmw had determined I used bad gas even though the problem had persisted over the course of months). One shop had determined that my engine was near catastrophic failure, and another that my entire transmission needed to be replaced/rebuilt with an estimate of well over $7k. I called Touring car a few minutes before they were scheduled to close and they still took the time to have a conversation and listen to my concerns and history of the car. I brought my car in and they diagnosed, serviced, and repaired my vehicle in a systematic way keeping me well informed thru the process. My car is feeling brand new and a pleasure to drive again. Dan and his crew did a great job. Although I had a 2022 model that they had not done before, they undertook the project and were competitively priced with local tuning shops and provided the appropriate experience. They were completely honest regarding needed repairs, pricing, and when the car would be ready. These guys are 2nd to none. Been to a shop to get something fixed, got the car back and it still isn't fixed? Should have come to TC first. They fix it right. The first time. I've brought my 2002tii, E30 M3, E39 wagons, and even my RAM 2500 diesel for diagnostics. It was my first time taking my vehicle to Touring Car. After several conversations on the phone with Dan (the owner), I knew that I had found the right place. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about these older German cars and it shows. When I need any future work on my car, that I cannot tackle myself, I will not hesitate to give these guys a call.

I've taken my '99 and '03 Boxsters to Touring Car and have been extremely happy with the service, care, quality, and cost. Dan and Duncan are knowledgeable and treat my car as if it was their own. I went to Hendrick Porsche for years and only wish I'd found Touring Car sooner. I highly recommend them if you are in the greater Charlotte area.

Very friendly, honest, and helpful. Dan and staff are always willing to work with me and help sort out problems with my car. They also have a great selection of parts cars that I can dig stuff out of for my 3 series. I would definitely recommend Touring Car.

They fixed my leaky trans cooler hoses & I wanted them to do a wheel speed sensor that was causing ABS lock-up, they did a diag and were honest. They gave me a fair price on the sensor swap, but informed me that many times the TCM that feeds the sensor is also faulty, and for my safety I should go w/ the dealer for that kind of a repair. I heeded their advice and sure enough, TCM needed replacing and they were right on the money with their assessment. Honest work done at a fair price & they won't bite off more than they can chew.

I have a Porsche Panamera that needed some services on the transmission! Took the car to 5 different Porsche repair shops for the diagnosis and price estimate! Non of them charged me and they gave me an estimate for the service with or without the parts in case i want to bring my own parts! Called Touring Cars INC and Dan told me to bring the car for a diagnosis! (Without giving me any heads ups about the diagnosis fee! Technician had a test drive and told me the same thing that i was already aware of and they charged me $109 for this! But Dan told me he s going to deduct at least half of it from the final repair cost, they sent me an estimate via email which was including the parts and every parts in that estimate was at least 25% more than the market price and half of them was aftermarket! I ended up buying my own OEM parts even lower that their aftermarket pricing and asked them for a quote on the service and labor to have them installed! They finally replayed me with this message : (We make our living repairing vehicles and selling the parts and supplies required to do that. In light of that,we are going to decline servicing your vehicle.Best of luck in your search, Dan and Co.)Basically they re only chasing your wallet! Stay away if you don t want to be taken advantage of the way I ve been!

What a stellar shop! The folks here are entirely helpful, and we're happy to show me some things and answer the begillion questions I had. They accommodated my spur of the moment break down and tow to their shop and had me on the road in no time. They even recommended a great vegan lunch place in the area. They were very confident working on my 1985 VW vanagon and the mechanics even owned them themselves. They had many parts vans outside and that was so great to see. (An actual van shop) they work on many other import cars, I think.Would highly recommend this shop, and wish they were my local shop honestly!!

Best place in Charlotte for your vintage BMW or Porsche. Very fair and straight forward, you don't get mechanics like this for Jiffy Lube rates, but it's been the best value I've found for my hard earned dollars.
