I was very anxious about having to get work done on my car. Being a woman can be a disadvantage when it comes to working with mechanics. After other options didn t pan out, I found Matthew s Service & Repair and am so grateful I did! Matt was very communicative even before I brought my car in. The shop was accommodating and exceeded my expectations for customer service and timeliness! I wasn t even expecting my car to be looked at before Friday and it was ready Thursday afternoon! Matt also took the extra time to chat with me about my upcoming concerns. I feel confident that I ve found my go to mechanic!

I have all my vehicles serviced at Matthews Service and Repair. They are honest and do a great job and most importantly they communicate the issue, cost to repair and time. My brakes went out on my way home from work on Tuesday. I used the emergency brake to nurse it over to Matthews Auto Service And Repair. Steve gave me an estimate the next day that it would take over two days and be over $900. I told him to go ahead. He called me a day and a half later and said it was done. When I picked it up, he said they found some ways to save some time and they only charged me $657. Ever heard of an auto repair service, reducing their estimate and saving the customer money? I am amazed and blessed! Thanks guys!

If you're not using Matthews Service & Repair for all of your automotive service needs, you are missing out on the best service in North Carolina!This is the second time I've had my Yukon Denali in for work. I was impressed the first time, and I'm over the top beaming with satisfaction over my second.On Tuesday afternoon my check engine light came on and my oil pressure went to zero. I drove straight to Matthews service and repair Matt came out in the parking lot and checked it out for me. He could pinpoint the problem they told me it could be an expensive and lengthy repair. He said he would need my truck anywhere from 2 to 5 days. I was desperate to have my truck back because I have a lot going on. Finding a rental car was expensive and almost impossible. Not only did I get it back in less than 24 hours, they stayed late Tuesday night to get the repairs done and called me at 7:45 AM Wednesday morning to pick it up.Thank goodness it was not a major repair, but it wasn't about how major it was. It's about how attentive to your needs they really are.Matt, I cannot say enough about how great you guys are. Thank you.Service: Engine repair

This was my first experience with Matthew's Service & Repair. I worked mainly with Matt and he made me feel as if I were the only person that needed car service that day. He was able to schedule my vehicle within a specific time frame due to my work schedule. The work performed was top notch and I will be bringing all my other vehicles to this business for any service needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had a great experience. Matt and the team put great tires on, and were helpful talking through the options so I felt comfortable with the choice. Driving away from the shop I could feel the difference - my alignment wasn t bad before, but it had noticeably improved. This place has been my #1 go-to for all car related issues/ repairs/ maintenance from oil-change to a few weeks ago having my car towed to their shop to get a new battery. Matt and Francisco care very much about their customers individually both in educating me as a customer and promoting the longevity of my car with quality parts. Matt is honest with me with what I don't need to change for now and what I should plan to save up for. Matthew's Service & Repair is the kind of shop that you always hope to find. Matt was honest, personable, and professional. The work was outstanding and the price was reasonable. Matt didn't try to up-sell me work I didn't need and the repairs were timely. Quite likely the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. This came at a critical time because I had just bought a used truck and needed expertise from someone who fits all of the above criteria (which is a tall order). You know the old saying "speed, service, price...pick any two"? I got all three at Matthew's Service & Repair. A+++Service: General repairs & maintenance

Needed a new A/C compressor for my Chevy Silverado.Matt took care of me and treated me like family. Explained service work and price personally and finished the work much sooner than I had expected.Used the drop off box out front for my keys after work and got a call the next day saying he was working on it.I will definitely be using Matthews Service and Repair againServices: Auto A/C replacement, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I almost never write reviews, but Matthew s Service and Repair is amazing. The owner, Matthew (get it? Matthew s Service and Repair) is great. He s honest and not only tells you what s wrong, but shows you. I appreciate that; for example, when I brought my Highlander in for an oil change and overall check-over before a long trip, he said my brake pads were getting thin, but were fine for another couple of months. I respect that in an auto shop.He was located next to Family Dollar HQ, but just moved to a beautiful new shop off Stallings Road.

I found Matthews Service & Repair a few years ago when another facility damaged my car and sent me to them to fix their mistake! It was the best mistake ever made, because we have been loyal customers of Matthews Service and Repair ever since. Matt and Francisco not only provide outstanding customer service, they know what they re doing! They are great at diagnosing and fixing any of your cars issues at a fair price. They also recommend what s important to be maintained or fixed on your car but not the suspicious laundry list you often get from dealers. I m actually not an easy customer to please, but I couldn t be happier with Matthews Service and Repair they have earned my complete trust. I highly recommend them!

I have been taking my car to Matthews Service for several years and I am so pleased with their service. Being a single woman I know that I can be taken advantage of when it comes to servicing my car. I don't feel that I have ever had work done that was not necessary. Matt is so great to explain exactly what is being done and the prices are great. I would recommend them to anyone! I give them five stars for sure!

My first time there. The owner got to my vehicle within a few minutes of my scheduled appt. While waiting, I listened to him dealing with other customers and really liked what I heard. Their knowledge of and commitment to quality service was evident. I will definitely go back. In fact, I discussed a problem I was having with another vehicle with the owner while I was waiting and will bringing it for service as well as soon as our summer schedule allows.Services: Tires, Oil change

We are new to the area and Matthew's Service & Repair came highly recommended. We haven't been disappointed. Everything was explained and issues with both our cars were resolved when our other auto mechanic either did unnecessary repairs or couldn't figure out the issue. Mathews Service and Repair is the only place we will be taking our cars from now on. The customer service was amazing. Everything was explained and our car was done earlier than expected. Matt is an extremely honest and hard working mechanic and owner. I have been going here for the past 8 years and have been very happy with their service and customer service. Matt has worked at dealerships in the past and makes it his personal mission to not take advantage of people. I always appreciate his advice about what repairs are necessary, and what repairs can wait. Thank you Matt and Francisco, I appreciate you both!

First time customer with Matthew's Svc. & Repair. Folks, when you go to Matts shop, you may discover (depending on your situation), that you may not even need the service that you thought you did need. Point is, Matt's integrity is the catalyst that holds the business together. [ A business, no matter how 'good' they are technically, mechanically, etc. is heading for disaster, once a customer finds out they have been 'taken for a ride, 'duped', 'ripped off']. Customers eventually will find out. You won't have that problem with Matthew.I went over there for several inquiries about my car, one being an a/c cooling issue of which I had done at another shop, though I wasn't sure whether the previous shop had 'done their homework'. What I like about Matt, he happen to know the guys at the other shop and reaffirmed their integrity, which was a relief. [The other shop had mentioned they did not know how long my compressor would last, though I wasn't ready to have it changed just yet as it did blow cold most of the time]. Matt told me what was involved to just 'check' out what I thought may be a problem. Matt was saying also to just use it until it really becomes a problem, BECAUSE, a valid comprehensive check of the a/c system for an intermittent small problem is costly. If its still blowing cold, most of the time [90 percent of the time in my case], don't waste your money. My problem really isn't bad enough to worry about at this point. I agreed, after we carefully discussed what is involved with that type of maintenance.I also found out my brakes still had at least 50 percent brake pad material left on the pads. A NON-ISSUE!While I was there, he was able to diagnose and repair the turn signal issue, which was very minor, compared to air conditioning. A quick fix.Also, Matt was able to do a rather quick improvised task that originally would require a certain part that was no longer available. In doing this task, he prevented a much larger problem from happening. Its known as preventative maintenance folks. Please take your vehicle to Matt, if you care to have a straight shooter mechanic evaluate your car.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning

Matt took care of me when I found out that my Honda Element I just recently purchased was a scam and the odometer was switched out to have had way less mileage than it actually did. Thank you for taking the time to look over my car and prepare me for my trip across. She got the name red rocky from my friend in Sedona - red rocks and like rocky- the fighter ;). We made it safely across on an epic adventure and living our best lives in southern Oregon. Thanks for your help- definitely a trust worthy mechanic and would recommend anyone! :0)

I cannot speak glowingly enough about the experience I had with Matthew and Francisco on 6/6/2019.I called Matthew the previous afternoon to discuss making an appointment for a squeaking in my front end and after some very thorough questions, he advised me to bring the vehicle in the next morning as the issue could perhaps be a safety hazard. I arrived at the shop at 8:15 and was greeted warmly by Matthew at the front desk. He remembered exactly what we had discussed the previous day but assured me that he would be going into the diagnostic with an open mind rather than a preconceived notion of what the problem was.Matthew and Francisco diagnosed my vehicle within 15 minutes as needing new front brakes, as a previous brake job by another person had been performed incorrectly. They walked me through the whys and hows and gave me an incredibly reasonable quote both for the price of the repair and the time. I was able to wait in their very clean, cool customer waiting area for just a couple of hours while the job was completed and was on my way within just a few hours of arriving.All in all, I could not be more pleased with the service I received at Matthew's Service and Repair. I will most certainly be going back to them for any future car repairs and recommending them to all of my family and friends!

Hi. First and foremost, I rarely write reviews, however, Matthew's is worth the time. I was visiting family in NC and my car was leaking.I called around and spoke to Matt who is so helpful and understanding of my situation. He was able to fix me in his schedule and got me back on the road in a timely manner. Thank you to Matt and Fernado. Thank God for this kind and professional gentleman.

Completely satisfied, I booked the appointment online on a Sunday afternoon, received response that same day. The oil change was done in no time, I asked Matt if anything else was wrong with the car and he honestly said it only needed an oil change, he didn�t try to charge for some extra stuff that wasn�t needed even though I asked about it, very rare to find a mechanic honest as this. The price was less than what I was expecting, I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Even though I don�t live that close, it�s worth the drive.Service: Oil change

My car had a squeaky sound, was told that it was my struts paid 1500 along with other minor repairs such as oil/fluids etc GUESS WHAT problem still was there and getting worse. Moved to NC googled and went with the best reviews let s just say I spent way less and problem solved!!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND HE HAS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! super honest and quick.Service: General repairs & maintenance
