If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. I was searching for a shop to assess and price a possible transmission repair. After calling several places, I landed on Marcelo s. I could tell who answered the phone was smiling and she greeted me very warmly. After explaining my issues, Jaelle was soooo helpful. She went above and beyond and researched prices, explained their process, and was very thorough. I dropped my truck off and they kept me appraised throughout their whole process.Great communication. Fantastic customer service. And excellent prices. Thanks team for taking care of me!!

2006 Magnum running rough, check engine light on. Marcelo diagnosed the problem, gave me a fair price, and completed the work right way, and on time. What more can you ask for!

As a business owner myself, I understand the effort it takes to provide good service for your customers. Marcelo and his dedicated team were everything I could ask for from an auto mechanic. They were honest with me about the repairs of the vehicles, kept me updated through the entire process of the repairs, and did a phenomenal job. I came in with my Mini Cooper with a non-functioning fan as well as a bunch of other problem that everybody else told me would cost an arm and a leg to replace or repair. Marcelo was able to not only resolve all the issues in less than a day, but on top of that gave an amazing price for his services. He has also replaced tires on my tires for a price cheaper than everybody else, and has replaced a water pump on my Mazda Miata, once again, for a better price and a faster time than everyone else I've been to. Marcelo is a cool guy, and I'm glad most of the reviews reflect the good experiences everyone has had, however, that hasn't been my case. First one of the guys who used to work there miss installed a power steering pump on my car, he messed up the pump and I still had to buy the piece again and pay again for the labor (50%), later on I found out that the same guy messed up on some other people's car. Today I called and the receptionist told me that it was going to cost me $75 plus taxes to change the rear side brake pads (just the pads), I ended up paying $80 for labor, $10 for shop supplies ("grease" haha)$3.50 haz. Materials plus $5.64 of taxes, making a total of $99.14 (I brought the parts by the way).So, just wanted to share that.Have a good day GB Everyone.

I have used Marcelo s Automotive for several years for things as simple as oil changes to big ticket items and everything in between, and I have never had a complaint. In fact, my entire family are customers at Marcelo s. We trust him and his staff completely with all of our vehicles, knowing that the work will be done quickly and with care and attention to detail. The prices for services are reasonable and Marcelo is always a positive, kind individual and a pleasure to interact with. He truly cares and makes sure that the work done on your vehicle is of upmost quality. I firmly recommend Marcelo s Automotive for your automotive needs. He and his staff will take great care of you!

Marcelo's automotive is every reason we should support small businesses. Frustrated by the quote by my dealer to repair my exhaustive pipe, I brought my car to Marcelo based on the reviews. Marcelo and his team did not disappoint and were warm, honest, and competent. Marcelo was transparent about the process and gave me different repair options after examining my car. In the end, he was able to locate parts to fix my car at a very reasonable cost-- even significant lower than his initial quote!Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

Marcelo's is a great place to bring your vehicles you can tell he takes pride in his work. Moved to the area a couple years ago and was looking for a good , reliable mechanic. Because of his reviews I stopped in and let me tell you Marcelo and his team are more than just good. I get excellent service everytime I go there. He s honest , professional, fair, timely and very knowledgeable about his craft. I highly recommend him if you need any kind of work done on your vehicle.

Just moved to Charlotte and am so happy to have found Marcelo s! Marcelo is incredibly professional, welcoming, and honest. He did not try to upsell and did only the work that was needed. Can truly say this Is the first mechanic shop we have used here in Charlotte that is trust worthy. Fair priced and honest. Works on a fast time line and turn around. I don't like to recommend people but when you truly fine someone that is worthy of a recommendation Marcelo is the man that is deserving.His standards are top quality.

Honest, reasonable, friendly shop! Good to get a mechanics opinion that acts like a neighbor/friend and isn t all sales-y. A little girl came in to use the bathroom and someone else stopped in just to say Hi, another person called while on vacation to thank Marcelo. People are definitely put first and they have two adorable dogs in the back as well. This will be my new mechanic! Highly recommend.

My van needed an oil change and was making a strange noise when I brought it to Marcelo. I needed all the other systems checked too. Marcelo took excellent care of my van, and identified the problem and the best way to repair it. He is very honest and reasonably priced. I was so pleased that I have dropped off another vehicle to be worked on too.

Always the best service best shop in NC. No matter what type of car it is or the issue you may have.... you're golden. Best prices ive seen in NC. Would highly recommend. I bring all of my cars here and will continue to do so without hesitation. Marcelo's is just amazing!

I just got back to my office from Marcelo's. Before choosing to go, I read reviews and did a little research like I always do. The reviews were spot on. This was by far the best auto experience I've had in a long time. Friendly, honest, quick service. Prices are right in line with what I expected, and they didn't try to 'upsell' anything like big-name companies do. I'll be back, for sure.

I am an insurance agent and I depend on my car to do my job. I had a coolant leak that no matter how hard I tried to find, I could not locate. Marcello found it, fixed it and had me back on the road in no time. He charged me a fair price for the work that he did, and called and texted to make sure everything was running smoothly a week later. Marcello is Now my permanent mechanic.I highly recommend this business, 5 stars!Service: General repairs & maintenance

10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a honest and amazing shop!! Brought my 2008 bmw 335i in because my transmission failed and I tried to replace it but wasn t able to succeed at the time he got it in the next day and noticed I was missing some alignment pins which caused the transmission to not sit straight. He ordered the pins and got them a couple days later put the car back together and she ran amazing!! Was also priced amazingly!! Thank you Marcelo s!!Service: Transmission

I highly recommend Marcelo's Automotive.If you are looking for value in a vehicle repair shop - look no further. You will be hard-pressed to find a more honest mechanic. Marcelo is very detail-oriented, and understands great customer service. He exemplifies quality workmanship, and maintains very fair rates.After years of searching for a great mechanic, I met Marcelo at another service center, nearby. On my first visit there, he impressed me. He took me back to my car, to show and explain to me, a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. I was there for just an oil change. but he had taken the time to look the car over for safety and preventative issues. He is well-spoken and explains complicated things, clearly (He would make a good instructor).When he opened his own shop, I noticed that the level of customer service dropped at the place I had been going to. They weren't able to maintain the trust that Marcelo had built with me, and I began searching for a new mechanic when i started feeling deceived. I was very happy to find Marcelo again, after several poor experiences at other shops in Union County. (One of my sons, was pretty excited to tell me he found Marcelo in the Matthews/Stallings area, recently.)I'm writing this review, after my 1st visit to his new shop. True to form, Marcelo went out of his way to take care of me. I brought my Honda Civic in, for an oil change and a "once-over"; after the check engine light came on. Many places struggle with keeping their word, and make you wait. Marcelo, is great at setting expectations, and called me ahead of schedule. He clearly explained the issues he found, and gave me options and prices. I decided to take a chance, and put off, replacing the distributor. Unfortunately, the distributor died on the way home. Even in this bad situation, Marcelo gave me more reasons to be a loyal customer. I priced out the work with 3 other shops, and even with a cost of towing, he saved me over a hundred dollars. He did not make a big deal of it, but I know he helped me out, even though he didn't have to. Here's another example of the quality, of his workmanship: I had complained to him about, how another shop had done some work for me and left the engine, a mess. You could smell the oil burning, every time you got out of the car. I had mentioned it to them, on the next oil change, and they either forgot, or ignored my complaint. Marcelo must have remembered this, and had his guys clean it off for me, for free. The engine looks almost new. Marcelo has high standards.I rarely write reviews, but when you come across a company doing business, like Marcelo's Automotive, it would be a crime not to let others know. His shop is not located on a main road (like many others), but it is easy to find; and I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

All staffes are nice and I feel they are honest and forthright. I have never felt pressured here. I told them a few things another place said I "needed" and instead of doing that and taking my money they told me I didn't need that service yet. I have found their prices are reasonable and trust their quality of work. So glad that I have found mechanic I can trust.

Marcelo is a down to earth man that is very skilled in his craft. I once paid him to swap a dead engine in my jeep and it turned out perfectly. I've since been driving with it for a few months and can't appreciate how well it works. I don't think I will ever find another mechanic that i will trust more than Marcelo.
