Very helpful and knowledgeable folks. Often has parts in stock that none of the other stores do. Online orders are quick and simple to pick up.

Update, 2/2022.. I love the convenience of online shopping and picking up, even better to have an advance account which I shop directly from with the Manteo, NC Advance shop being my local pickup store..I have saved and earned over the years and its a great initiative to get what you need when you know you're saving as well...my last visit was ordered, I applied my $10 dollar reward making it under $10 bucks for $30 spent, and it was fast, before I had drove the 10 minutes to get there it was ready and even brought out to me, you can do that or go inside to get your purchase.. the people working their are informative on the items,, and friendly, thank for keeping up the great service.. **1/2019"'Thank thank you,thank you... Advance Auto not only helped a situation where my debit card was not working, "but Tom, in customer service in the Manteo store" was so helpful, kept the sale price what it was, did NOT.. as some places have, put my purchase away immediately giving me time to work it out. (in case I had to wait til the next day,to fix my bank issue) thankfully it was quickly resolved. Also when I called the other store, closer to my broke down of vehicle.. this being the store in Kill Devil Hills, because they said it wasn't there issue, that they didn't need to help since I was attempting to pay online.. they unlike the Manteo store did not offer any help, or solution.. the website showed they had the part I needed, not a cheap purchase, but they offered no advise or help.. as a local who shops both stores it was disappointing but thankfully the Manteo store not only helped my situation ( no fault of my own, it was the website).. but allowed my discount to be used, by overriding in store when I arrived helping a stressful issue with the breakdown of our vehicle. Thank you for the Awesome Customer Service, the patience, the kindness, and above all not blowing me off but helping to find a situation to assist me in my purchase. For that alone you deserve more than 5 stars.( BTW" the vehicle is already fixed and running) thank you again..

While on vacation our battery in our vehicle started getting weak. So I stopped by this location and got a new Die Hard Gold battery, the very kind and knowledgeable employee named Jimmy installed the new battery for me as I didn t have any tools with me. I appreciate the help. This is a great location!!! Thanks again!

Family was visiting and their truck battery died. It was a Sunday afternoon and everything on the island was closed. Luckily Advance AP was open and had the battery we needed in stock. They were friendly and helpful. 2 hour round trip, battery changed and they were able to get on the road to head home.

This place always goes above and beyond..My wife and I were traveling and the car died..no power..no lights..nothing..it did come back on eventually and the next morning I found an Advance Auto..they chkd my battery and it was just a loose cable..needed a sleeve to fit over the terminal so the connection could be tightened but $4 and I was on my way. I fully believe a lot of places would have sold me a battery that I did not need..I have yet to have a bad experience with these people regardless if location..high praise to this company and it's staff..

So, we almost always have great customer service from the Manteo Advance Auto. They are usually helpful and knowledgeable. Today was a terrible experience. I needed to return a small item that didn t work in my car. I had the receipt. Two employees were at their registers. An older gentleman walked out of the stockroom by me and didn t say anything. A young woman was talking on the phone to a customer. A man was working on something at the counter. Neither one greeted me or asked if I needed help. The man was obviously frustrated and ill tempered about something. After a minute, he looked up and asked what I wanted. I told him about the return and gave him the receipt. He kept looking at the receipt and I asked him if he needed my credit card. He didn t answer my question, but angrily said that he needed glasses.(I guess to read the receipt) Then he answered the phone and began taking an order without even saying anything to me or telling the person on the phone that he was in the middle of a transaction with a customer in the store. I had to wait a few minutes for him to finish the phone order. He finally gave me cash for the refund, slipped a paper in front of me and told me to sign where it said customer. I did and left.Very poor customer service from these employees.

My check-engine light popped just as I was starting a long drive home from the Outer Banks. I stopped at Advance and Tom checked my codes and told me what I needed. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. Much appreciated!

Always helpful no matter the questions I have. They work as a team to find the right products or solutions that best fit your need. Friendly and Curtious staff. They have the products I need or they will order it for me. Delivery of products usually are about 2 days or less.

Friendly service, great prices. Don't forget to get a Military Discount which really came in handy for my girlfriends car battery. Also got a trickle charger that we did not need and they took it back with no problems even though I lost the receipt.

Received great assistance on the floor to get proper products. At checkout, had to wait until all others in store got helped before the could pay. Started really good and went to the other end of the scale at checkout.

Tried to have my battery checked, I was the only customer in the store. The lone employee I spoke with couldn't be bothered to even look up from his computer. Didn't want to do anything and was rude. I left to get the battery tested elsewhere. Won't be back to this store for anything.

Our Jeep had a miss fire code. Told to replace spark plugs and coil pack. Reset code everything is back to normal. Thanks for the expertise. Nice and clean store.

I went in after a mechanical failure in my car. I was helping by an associate named Tom. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He directed me towards what the problem may be, and suggested a few solutions. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great place to do business. My battery went dead while I was on vacation at OBX. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with a new battery installed. Great service! Thanks Nathan N and the crew at Advance Auto Parts in Manteo, NC.

I am glad that other people have good experience at that store but when I was there I was ignored and treated like I was stupid by associate N... .I am done with the store after that experience. I don't need rudeness. I know I was not being the cause for that kind of service because I was very patient and just left without buying anything.Hope the was just one person like that not the whole store.

When you order online then go to pick it up & they never pulled items & sold to someone else. That wasted my time, my mechanics time & my bookkeepers time. Then offer me the wrong tranny fluid (cheapest & not plus 4) with manager keep saying i wasn't here yesterday so not my fault) i guess lesson learned go somewhere else next time!!! Not happy!

Allen was quite standoffish to my bf and did not know the inventory very well. I will not be returning. As a woman shopping for auto parts, I would prefer to go to a place with kind, knowledgable staff.
