The crew at Tarheel Automotive is amazing! I just purchased my dream vehicle from them and I would not hesitate to do it again in the future. The vehicle was high quality and the sevice and experience was awesome. This is how buying a car should be!I had the pleasure of working with Sean for the test drive and eventual purchase of a beautiful 4runner. The vehicle was in awesome shape. Sean helped me arrange an inspection at a local shop after the test drive. He didn't pressure me to buy but gave me what was a fair price for my husband and i to discuss. After making the 2 hour drive back home,and discussing with my husband, Sean and i discussed next steps and completed the sale the following day.The vehicle had a few minor blemishes we discussed before purchase and Sean arranged the repair work and arranged delivery of the vehicle since we were 2 hours away.Amy helped so much to complete the sale and patiently walking us through the process at every step over the phone. The repair work they promised was completed to a very high standard and the results were honestly beyond my expectations. The vehicle was delivered to me that week and Larry was great delivering the vehicle and walking me through the paperwork to complete the sale.I had a truly wonderful experience purchasing from this group and I am already recommending them to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle. Again, I really loved my experience with Tarheel auto in Locust, nc!

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at this place! I was desperately in need of a new car since my previous one was giving me constant trouble. The entire team there was incredibly resourceful, honest, and went above and beyond to assist me. Not only did they provide me with exceptional service, but they also offered me a fantastic deal on the RAV4 I purchased from them. I cannot express enough gratitude for their outstanding support. If you're in search of an outstanding auto dealership that truly cares about its customers and offers incredible deals, I urge you to visit them. Trust me, it will be worth every moment!

Awesome experience! Car dealers as a whole are usually a dreaded experience for us. We went there to see a specific vehicle. They were not pushy but extremely helpful. A comfortable enjoyable experience from start to finish. We finished and drove away in our purchased vehicle within an hour. There was none of the let me talk to my sales manager nonsense for over a 3 hour period like you get when going into a new car dealer that sells used vehicles. Even the repair they did ( there was a chip in the paint on the back) was seamless. I Dropped off the car, they gave me a loaner and had it repaired as promised in the time frame they promised and you would never had known the chip was there. I would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone looking for a used vehicle.Honest, reliable and fair are a few adjectives I would use to describe this business.

Excellent buying experience. Bought a 2010 Mustang for our son a few months ago. No pressure, no hovering and all the time you want to check out car. Straight up negotiating with no surprises.

Was in the market for a new car and the people at Tarheel Auto made it a very pleasant experience. There was never any pressure or shady salesman tactics that you'd expect from most places. We mainly dealt with James and he was a stand up guy. Very honest and even went through the trouble of staying after hours so I could pick up my car after working late. 5 star experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I would recommend these folks to anyone looking for a car. We came to them via the Auto Trader website and traveled from Huntersville, NC to see a Honda Pilot. I believe we lucked out getting hooked up with them. We liked the Pilot and asked if we could return in a week with a check. They prepared paperwork in the interim and the purchase was quick and easy. They probably could have sold that car a dozen times during that week. We left feeling like we had known them all for ages. And they stand behind their vehicles which we learned when we had a mechanical issue the day after picking up the Honda.Bottom line: Honest, square dealing folks with top notch inventory. I wish I needed to purchase another car!

Totally good local family dealership. Has a solid reputation in the community. Definitely was worth the drive to Locust North Carolina. It was not too far from Concord North Carolina. Gets good low mileage used cars and sells them pretty reasonable. Kind of close in pricing to Car Max. But has a little bit more wiggle room due to the fact CarMax is no-haggle. A lot easier to deal with then CarMax. If you want a personal easy going family no pressure dealership then you will not be disappointed. Found low mileage automobiles here all the way from as little as five thousand miles all the way up to 45000 miles. Has a lot under 20000 miles which is hard to find even at dealerships and CarMax. Would definitely drive here again and purchase an automobile. The inside scoop around town this place is that they sell reliable automobiles. Usually very good Carfax on everything they have. One of the more easy-going car buying experiences I've ever had. Absolutely no pressure. His family was very good at getting everything in line for me when I returned via phone call. I was very impressed by other family members of this dealership. And I am a very research oriented consumer. Give Tarheel Auto Sales a try. And I bet you will want to buy here. Thank you family for the easygoingness. Locust North Carolina is lucky to have you. You can come to Lexington North Carolina anytime. It was the best. My vehicle was totaled. I had a rental. I looked for hours for a used car with low mileage that I could afford. I needed a compact. They took good care of me.

James and Amy were both great! They both worked with me and got me into a nice car within days. Any time I need a car, I will definitely be going back. They took their time and made sure I got into a vehicle that was right for me. I went in with a certain car in mind and I left with that car. Before I left, they said if I had any problems to feel free to come back and they would do their best to help. 5/5 stars across the board.

A wonderful car buying experience. Great selection of cars with the one I exactly wanted at a great price. Kind enough to pick me up in Charlotte. Paperwork was completed in 30 minutes and I was on my way. What else could you ask for.

As a first time car buyer, I was really nervous about the process. However, these folks took their time to walk me through the process, gave me a more than a reasonable price on the vehicle I was interested in, and had me in and out of there in no time. I am now the proud owner of truck and would reccomend this business to anyone in or around the Locust, NC area

I love this family. This is the second car that I have purchased from them and I will probably buy my third car From them. My friend asked me why I would purchase a car from Locust when there were similar cars closer to Raleigh. it is simple, I love this family and I trust them. How many people can say that about a dealership?
