This campground was maybe my favorite I've ever been to. We were greeted upon arrival by the host and there is a general store with anything you might need at the last minute. Our tent site was spacious and a nice distance from other campers. It felt private and we had a beautiful view of the forest. The bathrooms were so clean and a short walk from our site. There was also a sink with provided cleaning supplies for doing dishes. We were less than 15 minutes away from good hiking. We only got to stay one night but we could have easily enjoyed camping there for a longer period of time!

I love this campground! My boyfriend and I stayed in the Rustic Cabin which was such a great price, and had 4 beds so it could fit a much larger group. The bathhouse was nice since it was single occupancy and super clean! For restaurant recommendations nearby, I the Tin Trout was amazing! There are so many hikes and attractions to visit near here. We loved it!

This is the best campground I've ever visited! The restrooms were clean, even for a busy weekend. The campsites are spacious and far enough apart so that it doesn't seem like your neighbors are right on top of you. North Carolina campers have got to be the nicest, friendliest, most polite folks ever. Everyone respected the quiet time. There were no screaming kids running wild. The dogs were kept on leashes and the barking was minimal. The best part about Linville Falls Campground is the scenery. Linville River runs right along a good portion of the campsites (look on map). At that part of the river, you can hear the babbling waters throughout the day and night. So peaceful and tranquil, especially sitting around the campfire and then waking up to beautiful sound in the morning. There are a few walking paths that take you to the river and there are lots of great places to sit by the water reading, sunbathing, relaxing, or skipping rocks.I highly recommend camping here whenever you get the chance. Take a long weekend so you can really settle in and enjoy all the nearby hiking as well.Rooms: The "Rooms" here are the campsites. There are no showers, power, or running water at any of the campsites. The public restrooms have running water and toilets, but no showers.Nearby activities: Relaxing by Linville River, hiking Linville Falls...there are 5 designated viewing areas but many more along the various ways that are not marked. Get out and explore!

We had the greatest time. The best campground on our trip by far and the most friendly and helpful hosts. The restrooms were great, spacious almost like private bathrooms. The location is nicely integrated into the woods with a beautifully lit walk to the restrooms. Do not make the mistake to mix this great place up with the recreational gov. campground right next to the falls!!!! We highly recommend a stay and hope to stay here again if we can visit again from Germany.

Marla and Kenny are the best hosts. They supply everything you need in the cabins except your food (except in the camping cabin and even then there is water and electric with a heater, lights and fans). The restrooms are the best and cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. The grounds are well attended with beautiful hanging flowers. We thoroughly enjoy our camping experiences whether tenting or staying in one of their cabins.Nearby activities: Linville Falls

What a wonderful campground! Owners couldn't be any nicer. Well-stocked camp store on-site with firewood, ice, treats, etc. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Great common area with games and a playground. Sites were cute and cozy. Location was great. Full-service RV sites. Fellow campers were very friendly, and our kids made lots of new friends . Safe, well maintained campground with respectful neighbors.Absolutely recommend!!

Beautiful campground and well kept and very clean. Warm clean restrooms and heated showers. They take real care for all their guest. Provide firewood and ice and many things in their store. This place we slept better in the tent and felt safe. Friendly and beautiful. The guest seem to respect cleaning up after their pets. Most campers love to hear families and children playing and even after hours the quiet people visiting around the campfire.Never due to the owners...an rv came in very late at 11:30 and used an impact tool to level his rv. Some ppl are just not as courteous. Requardless this place was wonderful and we really loved it.

We have stayed at this campground 3 times now and it brings us so much joy each time! It is our favorite campground for tent camping because they bathrooms are VERY nice and clean. We also love staying in the Locust Loft cabin because the outdoor kitchen still gives a glamping feel. The hosts are spectacular and the area is gorgeous. Can't recommend this place enough!

We adored this campground! The primitive tent site we stayed at was very peaceful and had plenty of space for our tent and canopy. Bathhouses were very clean and impressively nice, and the camp store had everything you could possibly need. Marla was so welcoming, friendly, and accomodating! A great location with lots of nearby trailheads in Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain areas and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would love to stay here again!Safety: Felt very safe staying in this campground.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Linville Falls Campground RV Park & Cabins. We brought our own camper, but there are delightful cabins sprinkled throughout the property, each with its own little personality. Likewise, the campsites are each well thought out, from picnic table & fire ring to the placement of the utilities. The campground restrooms are clean and pleasant as well. Best part of the park for us was the fenced in doggie park. Campers are respectful and do a very good job picking up after their pooches. The owners obviously care alot about their campground as you can see from the camp store, the plantings, the lack of poison ivy (!), and baskets of flowering plants placed strategically about the grounds. We just left yesterday. I didn't even know I'd left my cell phone there in a bathroom stall until we received a call from the owner on my friend's phone! We'd been driving 2.5 hours and could not come back to get the phone. She packed it carefully and used our credit card to overnight the package from the USPS. It arrived today. Now THAT was incredible service... and always with a smile.THANK you, LFC!Nearby activities: Linville Falls, and it's multiple trails and views of the Falls and creeks are only a few minutes down the road by car. Very convenient

We camped with rv....campground is nice. wooded, needed to have been mowed, our picnic table needed to be repaired, we didn't need to use it. It's an old campground and we did walk with a dog to the falls on the main road because no hiking trail to falls. We think at one time there might have been, but definitely needs to be reworked. I didn't go to the ladies restroom, but my husband went to the men's and just old. We never saw cabins, or showers. Maybe there's 2 campgrounds. We only saw one this is the Linville falls campground on the parkway in NC. Just definitely needs some TLC, maybe volunteers can help. There seems to be 2 campgrounds w/same name but different locations. Please double check before you book. If you drive on the parkway, you'll see the one we stayed at. The other one is not on the parkway, it's 2 miles away, we didn't stay there, but maybe next time we will. Thanks for letting us know that they are 2 different campgrounds. We wanted to stay on the parkway to save money too but didn't see yours listed. thanks again.Pat

Cute little campground! The sites have just the right amount of trees and each site has its own garbage can. They had potted flowers throughout the park, a lovely little dog park and everything was very well maintained. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer if our schedule allowed it. Will definitely return in the future!

Pretty nice private campground with full hookups and some tent only sites that are pretty secluded. Full hookup sites are a bit too close for my liking, but neighbors were wonderful. Of course we did hit the first significant rainfall of the season, but it only lasted 2hours and drainage was great.

The campground is wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay. We rented a space for our travel trailer and it was spacious and clean. Came with fire pit and grill. Small market has all the essentials. Marla was welcoming and very nice. Can't wait to return.Playground: Playground was clean and well maintained.Restrooms: Clean as a whistle.

We love Linville Falls campground!! The sites were nice and well kept. The shower house was clean along with the laundry facilities. There was plenty to do with the kids, including gem mining which was our family favorite!! Our girl, Marla, was so informative and gave great suggestions and directions to make our trip the very best!!

A great place to tent camp. Clean restrooms and hot showers ! The camp store / office has everything one might forget plus extras you may not have thought about. They have a cool little playground for the kiddos and even a fenced dog run for the dogs.Nearby activities: Not far from Hemlock park which has a fantastic swimming spot. Buck creek trout farm was really cool and not far. There is Linville Caverns and the falls near. Plenty to do if you look around but remember we are in the mountains so not local places to eat open on Sunday or Monday. There is a pretty near abandoned motel/ restaurants called Mountainview on the side of the mountain. GREAT VIEW with a hint on walking dead vibe.

Amazing place!!!Would ve given 5 stars if the sites weren t so close together. Regardless, we had an excellent time and LOVED the proximity to the Linville Gorge. We hiked Babel Tower Trail and Hawksbill mountain trail, each of them only a 20-30 min. drive away!

Love the location of this place - right around the corner from the Blue Ridge Parkway! I brought my daughter to camp here after my son and I went last year. Marla and Kenny do a really nice job of running this campground. They have a camp store for needed ice and firewood. The tent campsites are well kept and I love the bath house! Being able to take a private shower after a long day of hiking is so refreshing! I always try to leave it better than the last person who was there, I wish everyone did that, but they have someone who cleans them every day. I would go back again!

The campground is ideally located if you want to hike in that neighborhood or drive the BM parkway. The elevation makes for an interesting setting. The facility is well run and has some campground amenities. Trash water and electric are available.I'd love to leave a glowing review...I stayed 2 nights. The wendsday was great. The area didn't seem empty, but everything was agreeable. The Thursday night was quite different and disappointing. It was quite loud around my little area. I can understand, groups were unwinding. The campground has a quiet period starting at 10. No one observed this. There was a group that was partying near me, with I believe locals or non campers attending. There was also a group behind me of 4 that talked non stop very loudly from the second they arrived. They also had a projector pointed in the trees. It was cool, but when I camp I like actual stars and lightning bugs. All washed out.At 1030 I asked the group of now 2 politely to be quiet. They were talking very loudly. Having a bs session, telling each other how much money they made and about firing people. That wasn't the solution. Asked them a bit more firmly, not the solution.I think the group that was having the party heard all this and decided to support the other loud people. They walked over and loudly started to converse with the 2 men about the projector. So I walked up to the owners house with my headlamp on. Talked to Marla. Then walked back.Wow! Projector off, cars leaving the campground and the 2 braggarts behind me were quiet.Burned the rest of my wood , ate and went to bed.Not a bad place but you are CLOSE to everyone. My spot #22 had a pavilion on one side and a fence right on the other with the toilet plumbing almost on my spot. Less than 6 feet from my hammock. You are at the mercy of the quality of your neighbors here. Tranquil? No. Amazing views? No. Better than a hotel room? Barely. Acceptable? Barely

My now husband and I have dreamed of having a wedding while we camp. After all, camping is our absolute favorite thing to do.We were honored to have the privilege of working with Marla and Kenny to have our wedding reception at the beautiful pavilion in their campground. Our wedding party and family members rented out several of the amazing cabins on the grounds. Everything was so perfect, and there is not a thing that could have made it any better. Marla and Kenny are the sweetest people on earth and they were so helpful with everything we needed. All of the cabins were clean and beautifully decorated. The bathhouses were also the cleanest I have ever seen while camping. Thank you guys for helping make our wedding weekend possible. We look forward to spending many many years returning to camp here! :)

I just wanted to share a quick review about our stay last weekend in the Locust Loft. I would give this resort 10 stars if I could! Our cabin was exactly as the site described. This is probably the cleanest, pet friendly campground I've ever visited. We will most certainly make this a yearly vacation. Thank you for everything! John, Tina, and Ruger Luther.

Beautiful campground. You feel like you're all alone deep in the woods. The cabin was clean and gorgeous. They delivered wood for us to the cabin. Bath houses were amazingly clean, hot water, perfect. We ride motorcycles and the driveway was one of the best we have encountered. The hosts were sweet, caring, welcoming and warm. If you are in the area, highly recommend!

Awesome campground! Just a stones throw from the Parkway and extremely homely. Marla and her husband Kenny are the owners and they run a great spot.Cool to see a place that offers so much as well as secluded locations for primitive camping. The bathhouse was the cleanest we've seen. Very updated and well kept.Linville Falls is a beautiful town and it's equidistant from most of the hikes and attractions in the area. With no service it's nice to have someone like Marla who was very informative, great with directions and beyond knowledgeable of the area and what to do. Even from the first call to book a spot she was outgoing and helpful. You'll feel home the second you arrive. Highly recommend!!

Stayed here with another family this weekend and it was great. We were on the primitive sites #43 and #44. The sites themselves were huge and free from debris. The picnic tables were in decent condition and they both had trash cans on site. Both sites were surrounded by trees with plenty of privacy. Bathhouse was excellent. Each private bathroom had a toilet, sink, and large shower. They were very clean and I witnessed them being cleaned each morning. I can t forget Marla in the camping store. She was helpful and gave us excellent suggestions for where to take the kids hiking.
