My Tahoe had some major issues that required extended warranty work and work I had to pay for. The shock/strut replacement is very expensive and for some reason is not covered by the extended warranty. Jessica helped figure out the best deal for me and kept me updated on what was going on. I received a loaner car while mine was in the shop which was very helpful. Overall I am so far pleased with the repairs and the improvement in my vehicle s performance.

Our sales person, John, did a great job as well as Jose, our finance person. Once we came to terms on the financing the process was handled effortlessly. We purchased our last vehicle, a 2004 Honda CRV 20 years and 330,000 miles ago and we were dreading the new car purchase/process but Abernathy and their employees made this a pleasant experience.

My husband and I found the 2024 Buick Encore GX we had been looking for on your website and called to make an appointment to see it. Our salesperson, John, was very nice and polite and did not pressure us in any way about the purchase. The whole transaction went very smoothly and we test drove the car, got a trade-in figure for our old car, signed the papers, and were done very quickly. It was a pleasure to do business with Abernathy Buick and would recommend them to anyone and definitely do business there again.

Lauren in service department was very helpful and patient with me. I was pleased with the entire experience.In addition the warranty on the two tires (that were flat) covered the entire cost.I love Abernathy s. My parents bought cars there and I ve been a loyal customer since.Except for the 28 years I lived at the Outer Banks, NC.

I took my car in to be inspected and it has been there 5 months. they don't communicate with you like a top rated dealership. but I was warned in advance.

I had originally brought my car in for servicing due to a check engine light. When it was evaluated, it was found that I would need a new engine or rebuild (car was 2012 with 83,000 miles) and it was not worth it to fix it as there was the possibility of other issues happening later on. I began to look at other vehicles on the lot and eventually bought a 2023 Buick SUV for a great price. At no point in time when it came to my old car versus the possibility of a new car, was any pressure to make a sale-the entire service staff and sales staff was so understanding and helpful as my husband was in the hospital and could not help with this decision. They took the time to walk me through the process without any pressure for a sale and made it easy for me to make a decision. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and thoughtfulness to accommodate my needs during this time. I would so highly recommend them to anyone looking for service or a new car.

If I could give 6 Stars, I would. Yes, got a good deal ... but it's so much more .. it's about Integrity, Honesty and Business Ethics.... it's about being treated fairly, about courtesy, professionalism, about fairness and really trying to please the customer....I was expecting and dreading the back and forth, the struggle....but all good.... Abernethy GMC ticked all the right boxes.... and I am particular, detail oriented and have certain expectations... and from beginning to end, everything went Perfect. I would definitely return to do business with Abernethy and endorse their business. I was not paid for my very Positive Review and I am in no way associated with Abernethy. We have always been Honda loyal but we had a wonderful experience at Abernathy Chevrolet Buick. Family members have bought cars from Larry for years and this was our first time. He was patient but also made sure we understood our options. He even followed up with us a few days later to be sure everything was ok and be sure we had no questions. I must say the Buick we purchased is amazing. We had no idea how luxurious the buicks are for the price.Jose helped us complete the paperwork. He was quick but thorough and we didn't feel pressured by either Larry or Jose.Abernathy Chevy Buick has made lifelong customers our of us and we are already recommending them to friends and family.

We were very pleased with our experience with Abernethy! The entire experience was pleasant, from start to finish. We are thankful that the Abernethy dealership is still honoring the GM Family discount. While many dealerships do not have to honor it and won t during these current times, your willingness to continue to honor the family discount shows the true character of the management of this dealership. We drove from Georgia, 4 hours one way, and would do it again in the future!

It was great until 4 days after the service was complete, then the AC stopped working again after a 3000.00 dollar bill. We have an appt on Friday the 15th to see what happened. We just feel a repair should last more than 4 days.

I purchased a new transmission a few months ago. Took the truck for a shudder while driving. Was told we put an air filter in it, if that doesn t fix it maybe try stock wheels but we really don t know. I was not told any price of the repair before it was done, I was expecting warranty coverage and was charge over 300$. After fighting that charge I was still charged 150$ for nothing because within 1 mile of the parking lot it s doing the exact same thing it went in for. I will never return to Abernethy Chevrolet. The ability of the technicians is questionable at best. The ability to let a customer know that a repair is not a warranty repair when it s expected to be is non existent. I am disgusted I paid them over 6,000$ for a transmission when I had to return the next day to have them finish it since they didn t install brackets, left hoses dangling, left sensors unplugged and left an exhaust leaking. The check engine light came on when I was taking it home that day. This time the technician left internal repair paper work in my door. This dealership is a complete unprofessional waste of my money and time.

I have had a lot of vehicle purchases in my life. And Abernethy is the Best experience I have ever had! Larry F was my sales guy. Great job he did all the way around ! Andrew did a great job with the final numbers as the sales mgr. And Jose in finiance was Great! They figure out how to make the numbers work. And will be honest!! They are Family now. As they told me the same!

I purchased a 2021 Acadia and 2021 Silverado yesterday. Jose & Andrew made the buying experience amazing. It was hands down the fastest car buying experience. Their customer service was top notch. Way Better than Gastonia Dodge. Make sure you speak with Jose or Andrew. They will get you hooked up. Tell them I sent you.

I'd had some previous poor experiences at Abernethy Chevy Service, but I figured I'd give them another shot. Their parts department is great, and I've been buying parts there for 14 years. Bought a new PCM from them, and it was delivered the same day, so I installed it and called their service department to have it programmed to the vehicle. The service manager came to the line and said he wouldn't be interested in doing anything for us because I had left him a 1 star review from a job they botched for us 3 years ago. He could have turned around that 1 star into a 5 star, but the service manager still holds such an angry grudge for getting that 1 star review, so I just went to another local dealership service department to have it done. I was over it. I guess he wasn't.. Bless his heart.

The whole team is the best, from Katrina at the reception desk to Harry and John the salesmen to Jose with titles. A polite, knowledgeable and friendly team sure makes for a great experience. It was absolutely worth the 30/35min drive from Charlotte.

I am very disappointed in the lack of communication during my last visit. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Upon checkout, I was told nothing about a tire sensor issue. I realized it myself when I got into my car and checked my settings to make sure everything done was registering. Once I saw my tire pressure was not registering, I went back to the service desk. Someone different helped me. I asked her about my tire pressure not registering. She looked at my paper I received at checkout, went into the garage area, then returned. She said I had a bad tire sensor and since it s out, no tire pressure would register for any tire. She said to replace it would cost $165. I asked if I should know this information already. She said, It s on your paper. She was not kind. I looked on my paper under service recommendations. It said left front tpm sensor is out. Tires will not relearn. My complaint is why wasn t this brought to my attention? It would have taken 30 seconds to explain. I ve heard several complaints from my friends about how they take their vehicle in for minor services and when they receive their vehicle, another service is required. I ve tried to give Abernethy s the benefit of the doubt, but honestly this is the 3rd time I ve been disappointed in the lack of communication with the service desk employees. Not communicating looks suspicious. In the very least, it s poor customer service. I will no longer return, neither will my husband, and we bought our vehicles from Abernethy s.

This being my first experience with the service dept. unlike other service dept. I waited in my car at the enterance for a service rep. to check me in. After sitting there for several minutes and no one coming out, I went in and gave my name to the lady sitting at the desk. I was 1/2 hour early. She was not helpful nor did she welcome me in. Not friendly at all, no smile. As I was to wait, I walked around the show room. No one spoke to me, neither the salesman who sold me the car nor the lady that sits just inside the door. I did speak with the gentleman who did the paper work, he is from South America. He by far was concerned. Maybe I am a little put out because of other dealers with whom I had service on other car, were friendly at all times. This is not the way to treat customers if you want repeat business. Due to this occurance I most likely not return here for future service. W. A, Shaw.

Harry treated us great. Answered all of our questions and converted me from Ford to GM. The closing of the deal was easy. We received a fair offer for our trade-ins and drove away with our 2023 Denali in about 2.5 hours. An overall great experience.
