I highly recommend Billy's for your transmission repair. My transmission gave out while traveling and had it towed to Billy's. They went above and beyond to help me. He even drove me to the next town to get a rental car to get home. When I picked it up it ran just like like new. Drove 3 hours home with no problems whatsoever. Shifts perfectly. Can't recommend them enough.

First they told me it was the transmission computer, then it was the transmission. It took two months to fix it. They cost me the exhaust pipe. They didn't even weld it. Now the computer broke. It hasn't even been around for a year and now they say it has no warranty. I don't recommend it. this workshop

My Subaru has never shifted better. Subaru automatic transmissions of my car's year are notorious for problems and Billy's exceeded the factory specifications as far as l'm concerned.

Ridiculous!!! They lied about having updated equipment, they kept my car a week. They advertise free estimates. I never got a free estimate.. I was told to pay the bill and pick up my car.. the car ran the exact same, and was filthy with greasy handprints.. BEWARE

Billy and his team are extremely professional and courteous. I am from eastern NC and they were recommended to me from a friend. I brought them my transmission and they kept me updated throughout the entire process all while doing the work in a timely manner. I received the transmission back and installed it into my car and the car runs and shifts better than ever. Thank you guys so much !Service: Transmission repair

I've been coming here since high school, billy and his son have always treated me fair, best prices didn't really you guys moved from high Point to Lexington buy anyways I drove because of loyalty, last visit I called and got a price on a clutch for a 350z I was told 500 on Friday, the car got dropped off Sunday night the car was done on Wednesday. Great and fast service only gripe the price was 643 not what I was quoted.

I got my transmission rebuilt 4yrs ago and it works great and it was a 700r4 for my 88 chevy nice price and great workmanship

Took my boyfriends truck here for his rear end to be rebuilt and they were able to do it speedy, correctly, and professionally! They re some of the nicest people we have ever worked with and Dillon is amazing! Very helpful people and will continue my business here !

From having all my automotive work done here to becoming apart of the Billy's Transmissions Team, the experience has been great! These guys have always been down to earth and willing to work with you even if that means coming in on weekends to get the job done for the customer. Can't think of a better place to have automotive work done.

Brought my car up here on a Friday morning and advised there was a transmission fluid leak. They told me they would look at my vehicle and get back with me. I didn't get a call back until 2 hours after I had called their listed number. Only to be told they wouldn't fix my vehicle because they couldn't guarantee the work. I advised them I didn't care about a guarantee, I was getting rid of the car in a few weeks to a month. Only charged me $20 for diagnosing my car but the thing is it was left with them from 8:30am until 4:30pm and they couldn't bother patching or replacing the line. If I had have known sooner, I could have taken it to somebody else who would repair it. Never coming here again.

Took a car to them and they diagnosed the issue completely wrong in the 2 mins that they had the car. Claimed to be the rear end and it was indeed the transmission. Went back to get the car and the owner locked up the place, left and had one of the guys in his shop to bring me back the deposit. Just say you didn't want to do the job instead of waste my time. DONT USE THIS TRANSMISSION SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!Service: Transmission

I've been having my cars serviced here for years now and I've never had a problem with the service. As a female, I tend to have a problem with people trying to overcharge me for things because they think I don't know anything but that's never been an issue here. I had an old Honda Accord that I thought I was going to have to get rid of because I thought it had so many issues, but they fixed it for me without breaking my bank account and I ended up driving it to 300k miles.

I have used Billy's Transmission service for more than one vehicle. They always give good service and are reasonable on their pricing while doing excelent work. I have recommend them to other people and would do so again. Thankful their are sill businesses like this still around.

So I posted a review about this place over two years ago and they removed it because it was negative. I m leaving another negative review today. Beware of this place . They have the worst customer service ever they rebuilt the transmission or what they call a rebuild it didn t even get to the end of the road before it failed and had to turn around and creep back to the shop for them to tinker with it some more . They also tried to adjust the shift index and made it worse then when I bought it in . When I asked about it they said that they don t mess with that and told me to find someone else to fix it . I told the guy that your mechanic told me he tried to adjust it and the owner got mad and said that we don t touch those and no one here did that . Then come to find out they did not put enough fluid in the transmission and I had to take it back to them again to finish the job they started so that is why I m leaving a bad review. Which they will probably remove but this time I m posting this all over the internet. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE !!! If I could leave negative stars I wouldUpdate 5/31/19Yes i had my transmission rebuilt at your place under wife s maiden name and with how messy that shop and office was I m surprised you can find anything.And yes reviews can be removed for a price

So on behalf of my father I m leaving this review...they supposedly repaired the transmission on his Cadillac last week but a few days later my dad pulled it out of the garage only to see oil dripping(was not dripping prior to them working on it) when he looked under the hood oil was everywhere so my father called them and the guy told him to bring it back and to be careful coming from Greensboro to High Point...well needless to say when they popped the hood the guy claimed they had not touched anything else and it had nothing to do with the work they performed and my dad showed him a loose screw and he claimed they hadn t touched it and that the oil was coming from something prior to them touching it. I haven t seen my father that upset in a while simply bc they quickly denied any possible wrong doings on their part which was a lie and then told my father he should consider the fact that the Cadillac is an older car... My father told him to close the hood and we left. It was a total insult especially when my father takes pride in the upkeep of every vehicle he owns. Its unfortunate that i would never recommend this place called Billy s Transmission in high point nc off Brentwood and green st and I will ward off anyone who ask me about them bc they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK NOR DO THEY ACKNOWLEDGE WHEN THEY JACK UP SOMETHING. I will check back to see if they delete my review or respond to it.

I took my truck up there to get the transmission rebuilt in the beginning of January, I got it back and didn t seem to have any problems with it until about a week or 2 later, then it began acting up and I took it back up there, they fixed it and I got it back, still having problems and the check engine light came on showing trans fault in the message screen, I took it back up there again, for the 2nd time in 3 months after the rebuild. They call me a day or two later and tell me that they cleared the check engine light and drove it and there was nothing wrong with it, he said they drove it from the shop to Greensboro to Asheboro to Lexington and back and didn t feel a single problem. Okay that s fine, I gave it to them with 3/4 tank of gas and get it back with the gas light on, I don t know if anyone else sees this as a problem but I do because they drive it all around but can t replinish fuel and didn t find a problem. On my drive home I feel 2 issues arealdy, I decide to take it to another transmission shop and he hooks it up and diagnoses the issue in under 5 minutes. So it looks to me like they re not doing their job and just driving your vehicle around for their pleasure. Needless to say I am very unhappy and will NEVER recommend them to anyone, any time.UPDATE: June 26, my transmission blew a seal poured transmission fluid out all over the place. They wouldn t offer a towing service and they were closed all week for the 4th so they won t even start working on it until this Monday, (tomorrow). We will see how they handle things this time and i will keep posted

Recently on a Motorhome trip to High Point the transmission in the towed vehicle failed. Using Google's reviews I called Billy's Transmission. The transmission was rebuilt promptly, but there was a delay with the Ford Dealer reprogramming computer/transmission.. Although we had to leave and then return to High Point the following week, I'm please with the result. Thank you for your prompt and courteous service.

Had my 2003 Chevy transfer case leaking. Took it to them to have it fixed. Picked it up and it was still leaking so I took it back a 2nd time. Picked it up and same problem... still leaking. Trying to call them with little to no help.Ended up going to another location and come to find out they had just used JBWeld on a hole in the trasfer case... terrible customer service and work.

I had to have work done on my transmission and they were polite and very informative. They offered suggestions for future maintenance to avoid large repair bills. I would recommend them to everyone who needs transmission repair work done at an honest establishment.

I am Gary Palmer,,they was supposed to rebuild my transmission, but only painted it,and stoled my cabererater and put another one on there. They changed me $1,000.00 for a paint job,and switched my cabererater! These people are a joke,ran me off and threatened to call the law if I came back! Potential Customers Beware :I took my mother's SUV to Billy's Transmission because we were referred by others that said they were (purportedly) reparable individuals who took pride in their work. We discovered the contrary. On behalf of my elderly mother, I explicitly explain to the owner Billy's Transmission that we were interested in paying to rebuild the transmission for the Chevrolet Suburban. The owner agreed, and charged us a significant amount of money (almost $3,000) to supposedly rebuild the transmission. Within a short period of time, we began to experience problems with specifically the transmission, and even ended up paying over $1,000 in towing fees, when we've had to have the SUV towed from significant distances. We had the transmission checked by other qualified transmission specialist, and discovered that Billy's Transmission did NOT rebuild the transmission as agreed upon, and what we paid for. But, simply changed some gears within the transmission, and put the old parts back inside the vehicle. The transmission experts we consulted with, assert this is a common practice by a lot of transmission shops that seek "quick fixes for quick bucks", and take advantage of customers, like elderly individuals.

Very happy with my service, called on a Saturday with what turned out to be a transfer case issue. He walked me through a solution on the phone which I really appreciated and when it was obvious that it was truly broken they got me in/out of the shop VERY quickly and reasonable price!!

Billy is my father in law. They rebuilt the engine in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Got 20k miles on it now. So far so good.

I've had several friends go to Billy's that I have recommended. They always provide great service and don't try to Hoodwink you.
