So I live in South Carolina but work in Lake Toxaway North Carolina so I go by your gas station at least 5-6 days a week. I stop quite often. Not for cigarettes bc they re too expensive but other things such as gas, sodas, and maybe wine: I m sorry, but the older lady that worked tonight really needs to be nicer. I ve tried so hard to be nice to her and even have given her a $10 tip before when I ve showed up almost at closing time bc I know how that is! I m in the restaurant business in lake Toxaway and there s not much between work and where I live in the mountains so your station and Jarrett s in Rosman are it for me back and forth to work. Tonight I showed up at 9:45, and I m grateful that you were open bc my truck is leaking power steering fluid and I thought I had enough to get home but it started making noises again so when I pulled in it was a blessing that you were still open! Despite the fact that it was only 9:45 and your station closes at 10 now your attendant was so rude and already had the floors mopped and gives you a glare that could kill! Now I ve tried to be nice to this woman (the same one I ve TIPPED before) and I very RARELY show up at night bc I know how she can be and I normally prepare better. But if you re going to be open until 10 she should understand that someone showing up at 9:45 is ok! Heck, our restaurant closes at 9 and we ve taken people at 8:50 before and I ve gotten out at 11:30 or later before so maybe she should be grateful she s not in THAT line of work! Anyways, I doubt I ll be going back to your place anytime soon. I ll better prepare or try to make it to Jarrett s. I try to give people another chance but it s happened way too many times. We all have things going on in life and shouldn t take it out on each other.

Just stopped by to get some go juice was going to fill up $100+ like I always do. Nope wouldn't turn on pump unless I left my card with the lady working now that's my bank card I'm not leaving it with anyone. I've shopped that store 30 years and tonight was my last stop.

I called the evening before to ask about their hours and made plans to stop by on our way back to Jacksonville FL. This place was great, we did the gem mining and found a few beautiful gems. Everyone was very friendly and there was alot of variety of things to shop for. Thank you for your bring dog friendly. See you next time we come up
