I was extremely happy with my stay here! The room was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and very spacious and the bathroom was HUGE. We had a very nice view of the stream behind the hotel and my son went exploring down there! They have a cute tiki bar on site with great food too!!! The staff were all so nice and welcoming! I will DEFINITELY be staying here for future visits!!!!!

We had a great time here at Genevas.The house was absolutely beautiful.The view of Chimney Rock from the decks was breathtaking. Also the lower deck was the perfect spot for listening to the music and people watching. I recommend Genevas Hotel and Tiki Bar to everyone. They are pet friendly as well.

Chimney Rock is a great place to visit. The rooms at this hotel were not immaculate but adequate for the price. Be cautious though. We checked into the room. There was a faint cigarette smell when we got there. The lady at the office had already left so we couldn t report it. When we checked out the next morning, we had to use a drop box so we could not report it at that time either. The next day we got a notice and a bill for double the cost of the room for smoking. My wifeAnd myself do not smoke. The extra billing ruined an otherwise good experience. We are now protesting the extra charge. We will see how that goes.

This place could be so nice but the staff is not professional at all ! We were charged for smoking in our room. My husband and I don t smoke !! When we arrived the room 15A had a smell of old cigarette smoke. We left the room very clean and drop the key off when we left at the office in the drop off box as no staff was in the office only a note on door. Later a charge of 300$ was applied to our bill. This is ridiculous the room is only 85$ a night with furniture from late 60 s in it. Again no one was smoking and they can just charge you cause they say you did. Without any evidence of cigarettes or ashes or anything! Ridiculous ran by a lot of employees standing around smoking how ironic

We booked one night, the price was $89.00 my credit card was charged $ 184.21They "claim" that the booking went through a second party even though I went through the website for the Geneva. And on top if that the commode overflowed in the middle of the night. Absolutely the worst experience ever. Never again will they see a dime from us.

We always go for the polar plunge for new yrs in the past they have always had s bloody Mary bar set up where u buy the bloody Mary n take it to the bar with all these good fixings in it. Well they didn't have so much husband seen a lady walk by with a bloody Mary like that do IOrder one with our food n I get a very bottom shelf vodka n nothing in it I ask the other last about it she was ruse n no we don't have that. So whatever we. Didn't drink the 9.00 drink we left it sitting it was nasty. The older lady in kitchen thet waited on me she was great

The worker Terry was very plesent, nice, and helped us with anything we needed. Couldn't ask for a better person. The house keeper was just the same. Really enjoyed the stay. Will be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.Rooms: Nice and cleanNearby activities: Close to town. Nice walk.Safety: Felt safeWalkability: Walk on the creek. And to townFood & drinks: Have a restront in back with a tiki bar. Call in orders or walk in to eat by the riverNoteworthy details: Try it you won't regret it at all.

It is not the Hilton on Park Avenue. But it is a wonderful place where short stays, 3 or 4 days can create a community where we meet great people, and have fun. Fishing, a bar that includes locals that welcome guests as their own, safe bonfires, even outdoor billiards. Great little getaway to mingle with locals and guests. A wonderful experience.

I recently stayed at the Geneva Riverside Lodging an Tiki Bar & Grill. Everything was OUTSTANDING. I'd like to thank the owners.Very outgoing and helpful. (He is a Retired Army Veteran).Hotel is an older location, but very well taken care.Great location. Outstanding TIKI Bar.Highly Recommend this location.

I went here a couple months ago and thought it was great. The river, the pool, the terrible karaoke. But what really did it for me was the blatant discrimination and lack of respect this business has for people who aren't from around those parts. Very surprised they served bud lite tbh. If you have brain cells don't go here it's disgusting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Tiki Bar & Grill at Geneva Riverside Lodging and I was blown away! The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were even better. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and provided great recommendations for drinks to try. The outdoor seating area was perfect for a beautiful day, with a great view of the river. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were immaculate, I ve never seen a room so clean & be made to feel at home, away from home !! Overall, I would definitely say it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend the Tiki Bar & Grill!It seems that customers consistently enjoy the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere at the Tiki Bar & Grill at Geneva Riverside Lodging, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

Went there to see the changing of the leaves and paid for a so called updated room. Disgusting. Check in is something to be desired. I loved the sound proofing between the rooms, not. We had a neighbor who left their dog in the room that did not stop crying yelping for over two hours. The kareoke was soo loud that it was like being in a concert but with bad singing. The room needed a painting the bathroom, I was afraid to take a shower. We left the next morning only staying the one night. We called to talk with front office but they don't have a phone the phone they have is at the tiki bar. We expressed our displeasure and were told to call HQs in Fl. They haven't answered our msg.

Have been coming to Geneva's Tiki bar and Hotel since I was little. It's always been a great place for locals until recently. Last couple years different owners and managers have made it a place all about money and not about being a fun ace to grab some food and a drink. Used to always be able to swim in their pool and behind the place in the river also.Now even when having over $100 tabs, almost every time we come also, they still want you to pay $10+ per person if you want to swim in the pool. They even tried to run my kids out of the river when we refused to pay their pool fee(last time i checked, they dont own the river).Not sure how much my family or other locals will be coming back with this kinda treatment. Things need to change. Your locals are what keep you in business in a town that is extremely seasonal.

Quaint little spot. Cool tiki bar . Food was meh and definitely over priced. Had problems with my food and they made it right. The room I had was ok. I did see bugs so I didn t sleep too good. Definitely paid too much to sleep here. There was some events happening but they had vacancies so that s why I booked should have read the reviews tho. Won t be staying again.

My husband and I stayed with friends at the Geneva on the Fourth of July. We were quiet pleased with the upgrades at the property. The beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Food and drinks at the Tiki Bar were great! The management is the best! Terry helped throughout the entire property wherever help was needed. We meet some great people there too! We have been going to the Tiki Bar for many years and will continue to do so!

Came to the tikki bar as we do every time visiting. Erin was an awesome bar tender. There were 50 plus inside, 1 bar tender, 2 cooks. Erin had to even go to the hotel for ice with the manager mingling and serving people who just walked up instead of helping serve the ones already waiting at the bar. Food sitting in the window for 15 min and not one of the cooks or manager took it out while erin was busy. That girl deserves a big raise. She never lost her composure and kept a smile on her face. It is sad that the manager treats her that way and he was present.

We came up to stay the weekend. I booked the room because it was one of the few places that was pet friendly I could get at the last minute. There was nothing wrong with the location or the atmosphere. My issue was with the fact the rooms smelled like straight cigarettes despite the fact the hotel has a non smoking policy. We didn't even stay the first night. For the price they need to thoroughly clean those rooms and enforce the no smoking policy. We're not breathing that in.

Hands down the worst hotel I ve ever been to. Our room was on the ground floor around back. The room smelled like an ashtray even though the hotel says no smoking. The smell was so strong I had a headache the entire time. The room was very run down and looked nothing like the photos online. The bed and pillows were awful. The front door didn t even seal all the way, you could see daylight shining through. Also be prepared to not sleep. The tiki bar is right out back. The band was loud enough to still blare over the TV even being inside the room. Additionally, it was extremely overpriced. Ultimately was extremely dissatisfied with the room. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Great location for visiting Lake Lure. Absolutely one of the nastiest run down looking places in the area. The Deadbolt on the door would not operate at all and the door handle which did lock was very loose and didn t inspire any confidence in the room security.I should have been more aware upon checking in, any motel that has an extended explanation for guests on what to do if the room is not suitable should have been a red flag for me.An empty parking lot was another indicator.The desk clerk told us to call a number to talk to someone if we wanted a refund.Never again.

Large rooms and clean. River out back to wade in or fish. Tiki bar was a little extra (expensive, and for the holiday we got dinner and a show at the bar when someone with too much to drink decided she wanted to wear metal bracelets), but the food was good, just not $17 good for a foot long hot dog. The man who runs the lodge is awesome, with a huge personality and very friendly. I will definitely be going back!!!

Me and my fianc� visited the first time after hearing so much about this place. And let me tell we both fell in love with it. The area, the people, the atmosphere! It is such an amazing place. We have even planned to have our wedding here in May! The couple that keeps the place running are amazing people and do an amazing job! And will help with anything they can. We will definitely be returning EVERY CHANCE WE GET!Rooms: The room was spacious, clean and welcoming!Nearby activities: All the shops are close and the flower bridge is amazing. Saturday night karaoke is always fun!Walkability: The Tiki Bar is only steps away from your room. So no need to be unsafe to have a good time. Just grab a room if available and have fun! In which you will! And don t forget to add your dollar to the wall!!!Food & drinks: The Tiki has some of the best food and drinks! I love the loaded nachos and my fianc� loves the burgers!

The location is really nice since it's next to the creek. However, if you're staying overnight just be prepared. Checking in was weird, because the lobby door was locked. We had to wait for the manager to come meet us. Rooms are dirty. Not well maintained, flies everywhere in the room, sheets smelled like cigarettes. Above dealing with all that, we couldn't even have a decent night of sleep because other guests were banging on doors and fighting. This happened until 4am. Mind you we had two dogs with us and the only reason they were barking was because of all the fighting going on between the other guests. And I'm pretty sure the beds have bed bugs because I came back home the next day with bites all over my body. The tiki bar across the street was cute, but the service was bad and you can only order one drink at a time per person. So, I had to wait outside with the dogs for my husband to bring one drink at a time for me and him. I guess outside you don't get a waiter. We picked this place because we had our dogs with us and it was the only pet friendly hotel we could find around the area. Maybe it was only us that got bad luck with this place, but we won't come back and stay here. I wish I had taken pictures to show our experience, I was too busy trying to get through this nightmare! Sorry, but true.

I ve been coming here a couple times a year for well over a decade. Honestly, this stay was the best I ve had. This property has improved in every way the last year or two. Nicer rooms is cool but the commitment to customer service is the biggest difference. Terry the manager went above and beyond and I can tell this guy is working his tail off to improve. I ll be back even more often!

Overall, this isn't the best place to stay. The room smelled musky, it was a room with a bed and a bathroom, nothing more. I chose this hotel because of the pool and the tiki bar; which was pretty nice during the day. I had a pool side room and at night with karaoke and live music it was pretty loud for someone not wanting to "party". Also, I could hear the people in the room next door talking and their tv was really loud. Being a solo female traveler; with all the people, drinking and bikers; I didn't really feel comfortable. My reservation was for 3 nights; I stayed 1.
