Stayed on site #150 for one week, it was beautiful and extremely quiet. Neighbors/owners were very friendly. All sites are privately owned and many are available for rent. Lots of wildlife here and just a pleasant experience. Several family owned restaurants short distance from RV Resort.Safety: Very safe here Food & drinks: Very nice Ingles grocery few short miles away from Resort.

Beautiful small class A RV resort. Our GPS went haywire once in the mountains and I was happy I took a screenshot of the resort s directions beforehand. The resort and surrounding area is beautiful. We took the Lake Lure tour and climbed Chimney Rock.

I will start with the positive. Apple Valley Farm is a nice RV resort with views of a pond and mountains. The owners at this resort are extremely nice and helpful. There is a nice Produce Stand located on the property with fresh veggies and fruits (which should be mentioned on the website). There is a restaurant onsite but we did not go there (Victory's).The negative. Resort is managed by Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure. They seem clueless that there is an RV resort that they manage. When making reservation online we picked Lot 133 for $70 a night (we stayed four nights). Please be warned that there are additional fees that you incur. Excluding taxes, our $70 per night stay ended up costing $98 per night (i.e., resort fee [$60], accidental damage waiver fee [$39] and processing fee [$12.46]).When I received confirmation of my reservation it stated that I should drive my RV to Rumbling Bald Resort for check-in. My husband and I tried calling numerous times to talk to a person to make sure this was correct because we did not want to get stuck trying to turn around a 40 foot RV. After 3 days we finally got the information we needed to be successful (sort of).The Lot. Could not use fire pit or gas grill. Lighting was not working and hubby was able to fix half as a cut exposed wire was noticed on the other side. Lot was not presented well on arrival. Obviously, the resort did not inspect lot for trash or clean-up.

We stayed at AVFM resort several weeks ago. We rented site #151 which was nice. It's a very quaint and quiet resort. We also enjoyed breakfast at the farmhouse on the property and it was delicious. They were very busy so it took awhile to get out order. But no worries, we were on mountain time. We took advantage of the swimming pool at Rumbling Bald resort which is also nice. All in all, we had a very good time at the resort and will return. Thank you AVFMR!!

Class A RV Resort in the Mountains of Western NC. This resort consist of 46 privately owned RV lots. Nestled about 1/2 mile from Rumbling Bald Resort. There is a farm stand right out front for fresh vegetables and Victory Kitchen Restaurant. Easy access for Chimney Rock, Asheville, and Hendersonville. Lots of new restaurants in Lake Lure to try out. You can rent through Rumbling Bald Resort and also some owners list lots for rent on FB and RVparkstore.com.If you rent through Rumbling Bald, you are charged a resort fee of $99 and get access to the resort. If you rent directly from an owner, you don t pay the fee, nor do you have access for pool and beach on the lake. AT&T service is good and the WiFi is fair.

We stayed at Apple valley Farm Motorcoach Resort. I made reservations here because of the landscaping and tranquility ,the size of the spots ,the privacy and overall look of the resort. It did not disappoint. My husband fished a little, (catch and release).we walked the path along the pond each night.We seen a doe at the pond .there is a produce stand on the premises which was nice,however it seemed a little unkept. We had amenities from Rumbling Bald on lake Lure which did factor into my choice. however we were not at all impressed with their facilities (Rumbling Bald ) or their willingness to help .we were given no instructions or had no communications.we had to research and travel back and forth to their facility to find out anything. We did not use any of their imminities which makes the price of the resort high.I highly recommend the coach resort but not at all the Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure

A very nice classy motor coach resort tied into Rumbling Bald Resort. All the amenities and hook ups are available and each site has a small little feature like a lake view or a gazebo with furniture.

First of all don't let the rental prices on the website fool you. They add an extra $100 as some Required Fee to your stay.The sites are nicely landscaped and most have grills and chairs you can use and it is a quite place to stay.As for the WiFi Internet it is no better than dial-up if it even works at all, had to drive to the main resort golf club house to use the internet, and cell service is also not reliable.

We booked a site for $80/night for 2 nights. We were moved to a lesser quality site than what we originally selected, with NO price adjustment due to a "water line break". Yeah, right!By the time the resort was finished with our bill, they had added, undisclosed taxes and additional fees, which amounted to $266.00. This is OUT "EFFING" RAGEOUS! CAVEAT EMPTOR!DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS RESORT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF ALL CHARGES. This was our mistake!! We WON'T be back. I'd rather spend time in Hilton Head Island because at least I know I'm getting my monies worth.

The place is immaculate, serine and upscale. It is a beautiful place in the mountains. The problem arises if you rely on Wi-Fi or Verizon for your phone service and internet, you won't be able to get them. The Wi-Fi provided by the park is slower than dial-up. And we were unable to make a call on our Verizon cell phones from the RV Park. If you DO NOT rely on internet for work and home and do not have verizon as a part time RVer, this place is paradise! But if you use internet for work on the road and rely on Verizon hot spot on your phone this place will not work for you. We had to move. :(

First Class Motorcoach Resort! Site #155 has fantastic view of Lake and mountains! Very friendly folks here! The restaurant has great breakfast and lunch!

What a beautiful place! Sites are large and very private. A word of caution, do not go past red barn until you are sure which way to head to your site.

Simply amazing. Every lot in the park is well kept and well situated. Lovely community of owners who are very knowledgeable and thoroughly enjoy the RV lifestyle.
