The hotel itself is very old and outdated. It also has a very unpleasant smell once entering into the lobby. I called the morning after I checked out to report my L ange hair dryer and diffuser were left behind in the room. They told me the room wasn t cleaned yet, they will get back in touch with me once housekeeping cleans the room. After speaking to them multiple times, housekeeping continued to report no hair dryer or diffuser was left behind. I did not come home with it, it was indeed left in the room and housekeeping stole it. It s a shame they allow their staff to get away with taking items accidentally forgotten in the rooms. Very disappointed about forgetting my $350 hair dryer and not being able to pay to have it shipped back to me.Rooms: OutdatedFood & drinks: Not much on the property itself.

Unfortunately I didn t get the opportunity to stay here overnight but did have the opportunity to go there for our Christmas team lunch. On the way to our destination, it is right across the Lake Junaluska! On the way inside of the Inn, we were greeted by Solider Nut Crackers & various Christmas Trees with their own unique touch! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but Elizabeth & Emmanuel topped off my experience. They are very attentive and offer amazing customer service!

So the hotel looks rundown overall. Landscape was overgrown and there were cobb webs almost everywhere I looked inside and outside. My room s air conditioning was broken and the hotel was unable to repair it until later the next day so I struggled to sleep the first night. There were also ants everywhere in my bathroom crawling on the floor, around the toilet and shower. Also, there was no evidence of any housekeeping during my 3 night stay. No trash taken out of my room or clean sheets or fresh towels. The food was decent and the staff I spoke with was friendly. There was an odd old musty smell throughout the hotel and could just use a good cleaning and furniture update in the bedrooms.Such a miss for such a good rustic historic building with a great beautiful lake location. I hope they will make these improvements for future customers.

The area is beautiful. Gorgeous lake, mountains all around. Lovely trees and flowers. The hotel itself - disgusting. The rooms are dirty. The floors are worn and need to be replaced. The window would not close. There is no housekeeping service, yet they leave you an envelope to put a tip in. Food is included. It was mediocre. And on our last two days, they did not serve food in this hotel. We had to go over to another one to eat.

Beautiful and mountainous region up a hill overlooking the magnificent lake. The scenery will leave you in awe. My only issue is that there are no microwaves in the rooms even though there are some in various locations throughout the hotel. Staff was very friendlyNoteworthy details: Hotel is located at Lake Junaluska where there are various facilities and activities for the family. Excellent walking and running trails around the lake as well. Piers for fishing, tennis courts, swimming pool, kayak rentals, ...etc. look up lake junaluska for better details.

This Hotel has no in room controls for Air Conditioning ! That luxury is decided and controlled by Hotel management. In room 316 the Window would not operate. The top part of Window is Broken and slid downward so you can t close it .No soap in bathroom. Bathroom is so small it s borderline unusable. If you get there late parking area is a Long way from Entrance and very overgrown and Poor lighting! No microwave

It was very cold.... less than 65 even though we kept the thermostat at 72. Apparently, front desk said it has something to do with the fact that they use old boiler system for heating which is not reliable. That's crazy!! He offered to provide more comforters or space heaters. I ended up asking for space heater. Space heater didn't work. So, call him back and he said, he doesn't know how the space heater works and that his shift was going to end in 10 mins. Asked me to talk to the next guy. Apparently he was not concerned about our issue at all. It was about 11 PM by then and I dozed off. I couldn't sleep since my throut was blocked because of the cold and called the helpdesk at 4 AM. This guy was helpful. He replaced the space heater with a working piece and after several minutes, my room was warmer and could get some sleep. Never visiting this hotel ever who doesn't care for their customers and won't provide the minimum that is a must for a living space. Not sure, how the county has even approved this hotel to function like this. Second, the bathroom doesn't have lock, not enough outlets to charge the phones/electronics and even the space heater that they gave.

Be warned!!! The handicapped accessible room is not ADA standard. Highly disappointed by the lack of care given to the room and building maintenance. For the price, they should put some work into the upkeep.Beautiful view... if you dont mind the giant trees blocking a quarter of your line of sight... lovely employees... but a disappointment.Rooms: Dusty 1983 vibes ... most of the lights weren't plugged in... and the only modern element was a 22 inch flat screen.

This hotel is overpriced for its condition. The room smells mildewy. The furnishings and bathroom are outdated. I hung my bathing suit to dry and it never did! Look at the "view" you get for $143. Very short-staffed. They have an envelope for a housekeeping tip, which suggests that they don't pay the stay enough. There is free coffee but that's it. I thought it would be nice to sit on the hotel balcony but it looks like something out of a horror movie: pigeons and bird poop and cobwebs and dirt everywhere.

Over all, our stay was good at this place. But We believe we paid more for a view that was misleadingly advertised. we felt we were misled by the "lake-view" marketing the hotel used. The hotel advertises as if the lake side rooms have a gorgeous view to the lake. No special view! You could see some of the lake like you could see it from any other spot in the area. We believe we paid more for a view that was misleadingly advertised.

The Lambuth Inn is always a favorite stop for us. From this hotel, you can take a lovely walk around the lake, where there are flowers and trees in bloom. This past week (mid April) we saw geese, ducks, and swans on the lake. The dogwoods and thrift were in bloom. The rooms are tidy and simple, always very clean. I enjoy the antiques scattered throughout, the old fashioned sitting areas, and the morning coffee pot downstairs. This friendly Inn feels very homey and comfortable.Noteworthy details: The walk around the lake is quiet and enjoyable. We saw swans and a huge variety of flowers, people fly fishing and kayaking, and runners and walkers enjoying the peace and tranquility.

It's very nice! Rooms are large and staff is friendly.Pros: clean, big room, nice up to date bathrooms, classy yesteryear decorations and furniture in lobby, gardens, balcony with rocking chairs, nice gift shops, cable, wifi, pool, shops, lake, beautiful sightsCons: I think my room may have had water damage at one time. The woman that checked us in 9/2 at the welcome center was the sweetest!!! Very friendly and welcoming. I wish I had got her name to include in this review.

I needed to go somewhere off the beaten path to relax and reset. The hotel met my needs. I needed someplace quiet to rest. The area is beautiful and the lake was peaceful. I was able to sit by the lake and enjoy the laughter of people kayaking. Breakfast is offered at the Terrace for a fee but I would recommend you explore and eat breakfast elsewhere. Inspiration point is a must just for the pictures.

1. It's an evangelical Christian retreat center. Lots of Christian iconography which obviously isn't typical for a mainstream US hotel, but is typical for evangelical churches.2. It's an old hotel that hasn't exactly maintained itself in the grand tradition of 1920s hotels. For example, it has drop ceilings, minimal wainscoting, and non-period furnishings.3. It has a very nice garden and flowers in the front of the hotel4. Staff are friendly and the place is family friendly5. The lake upon which the hotel sits is beautiful with a 3+ mile walking path around it. Really lovely and relaxing

I gave the hotel a 3 out of 5 because of how they responded to the issues when we checked into the Lambeth Inn. We checked in, very friendly staff. Went up to our room started my usual cleaning to check and make sure the room was okay and to disinfect things. Made my way to the bathroom and the toilet was covered in urine, hair, feces splatter in the toilet, and a red ring inside that indicated it was not cleaned. I called the front desk and asked them to send someone to clean the bathroom. They responded they would send someone right away and also check to see if they had another room but they did not. We left the room for a little while to go to the lake, came back the urine and hair was still in the back of the toilet, the inside of the bowl had been cleaned but they missed half of the problem. I took a picture and went downstairs to show the front desk staff and they responded by sending me to the newer hotel on the property called The Terrace. We checked into the terrace with no issues and the room was clean. Breakfast was included with the terrace and it was nothing spectacular. I would stay at either hotel again due to the way that the hotel staff responded to the issue. Beds were comfortable for the most part and no other major issues.
