These folks do it as well as it can be done. Every single time. They get me in quick, let me know the problem and get cost clearance before moving forward, and have it fixed up super quick.Very professional and friendly and have never tried to upsell me anything that I wouldn't know if I needed or not. I should have expected such good service when I asked 2 different auto parts stores a couple months ago for a good mechanic and they both said, "take it to Tyrolf in Knightdale."I took my van in this week because the side doors wouldn't open, the radio wouldn't work, and the dome lights wouldn't turn off. They fixed every issue, called the Honda dealership to get the code I needed for the radio, and gave me an invoice for $0.00 because "it only took a few minutes." I was blown away because I assumed every business would take the opportunity to charge the customer for anything they could possibly charge them for.Could not be more happy with these folks. Google needs a 6th star button.

I have been noticing an odor in my car that smelled to me like meat on the grill lol. A friend checked the oil level a few days ago and it was very low after having an oil change just 2,000 miles ago. That's when we saw white smoke coming from behind the heat shield and some oil around the bolts. We knew there was an oil leak. Decided to bring the car to Tyrolf Automotive since they had so many good reviews. Dropped it off this past weekend and received a call this morning from the owner Bobby. He explained the problem and exactly what it would cost to fix.The price was very reasonable. Had the car ready in just a few hours. My husband passed away recently, and he would handle all these things, so it means so much to be able to bring my car somewhere I can trust. Such nice people, absolutely no upsell and fair prices. Sherri helped me with making the appointment and gave me directions and was as pleasant as she could be. I highly recommend giving them your business, I certainly will continue to give them mine!

I admire the integrity of the people here! They're trustworthy because they're geuine and HONEST. Excellent service - both for your vehicle and for you as a customer.My car was there for issues relating to the spark plugs. I asked an employee, Bobby, if they could check the entire vehicle while they had it, just to be sure everything else was in working order.An acquaintance of mine who used to work in auto repair chastised me, saying, "if you ask a mechanic if there are other problems, he will ALWAYS find other problems..."Well, it was checked thoroughly and there weren't any other issues or areas for concern according to Bobby. And I wasn't even charged for having them look it over, either!I have recommended this place to absolutely anyone I know (especially to that acquaintance ).

Honest and principled service. Came in for a brake job. Mechanic examined car and Tyrolf gave a quote. When I came in to pick up the car, front rotors also had to be replaced and he forgot to add labor for the rear. Fixed the whole brake system and stuck to original estimate. I can't say enough about Tyrolf automotive. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them. They are honest, caring, up front with pricing and affordable! They have always been incredibly accommodating and I would highly recommend them for all your vehicle needs! They certainly have a customer for life :)

For years I have only trusted the dealership with our Jeep Grand Cherokee. After several bad experiences with our regular dealership we decided to look for an alternative shop. We decided to try Tyrolf Automotive in Knightdale. Bobby and his team are outstanding! They went above and beyond to help us identify the issue and fix it in a timely manner. If I could give more stars I would! Friendly, honest, reasonable pricing, no up or cross selling. Got my truck in quickly, clearly explained the problem and fixed it same day. The best auto repair place in NC. I first took my car to PEP Boys and they lied about what was wrong with my car and gave me an outrageous price to repair it. But my friend told me about Tyrolf Auto and I haven't cared about driving 40 min to get my car fixed. They are honest. We absolutely love Tyrolf Auto! They have the best prices around and they do very good work. I have always been happy with their service and never overcharged. They have done everything from major work on our cars all the way down to oil changes and we've always been happy. I have several small children that go with me when I stop in for an oil change so it is very important to me to have a safe place for them to play and watch TV. The owners are always so happy to have children visit their shop and each child always leaves with a treasure from the treasure chest. Their service is very personal!

For those who own a Rotary powered car:I will preface this review by saying that I generally do all of my work on my own cars, especially my cars are that special to me. I needed to get a compression test done on my 87 RX-7 Turbo II. I made an appointment at Mazda in Cary, showed up, only to be told they don't have the equipment. I was given a business card for Tyrolf Rotary (the rotary division of Tyrolf Automotive, same location.) I called and asked for an appointment, and they squeezed me in right then.Due to the professionalism of their Rotary tech, Shane, I decided to keep them in mind. One of my other RX-7's, a third generation, needed some minor repairs done after I had bought it. I do not live in an area where I can work on my own cars currently, and given how important this car is to me, I am notoriously distrustful of anyone aside from myself working on it.Given how well Shane and Tyrolf served me in the past, I decided I would trust them with my car. Shane was communicative throughout the entire process, they didn't attempt to sell me on work I didn't need, and Shane's work was done well. The price was excellent given the quality of work I received. If you own an RX-7 or rotary powered car in the area and find yourself needing the services of someone who understands and appreciates these cars, but do not want to make the trip to Kannapolis, I highly recommend Shane's work at Tyrolf Rotary/Tyrolf Automotive.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Over the past 6+ years, I've had several vehicles worked on at Tyrolf Automotive and I have always had an excellent experience. This is a family-owned business that truly puts the customer first. The work is always top-notch and the fees are very reasonable compared to other shops and the dealers.I've also referred a number of friends and colleagues. You will not be disappointed when you have your vehicle worked on by Tyrolf Automotive! Five stars all the way!

Thumbs up, this is the best auto repair/maintenance I have ever experienced!! The team of staff that operate this business are awesome! Mr. Bobby was extremely pleasant when he scheduled my appointment & checked me in.The maintenance & cost were discussed with me before any work was done. Ms. Sherry closed out my ticket and she was super friendly. This business provided me with fast, friendly, professional service at a very reasonable price. I will be returning. When I moved to Knightdale, I was so worried about finding a great mechanic who was honest, had competitive prices and guaranteed his work. I just happened to get a referral from Discount Tires to try Tyrolf Automotive for some problems I was having with my jeep. My first experience was so painless and he was actually a LOT cheaper and less time consuming (waiting) than my jeep dealership that I had fixing my jeep in the past. Now I ONLY go to Bobby at Tyrolf. He is more like a friend than a guy that just fixes my car. He and his wife are very personable and knowledgeable and he will be straight up with you on the pricing and stands behind his work!!! I do and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to give Tyrolf a try. You won't be disappointed.Karmon

I love Tyrolf Automotive. My family has gone there for years so when I got my first car I have been taking it there for maintenance as well. I have gotten the struts replaced, and my front brakes completely replaced there. They get everything done quickly, efficiently, and the work they do is good. He is also extremely honest and won't try to rip you off like a lot of other mechanics would. I will continue to use Tyrolf Automotive!

I cannot believe I haven t rated them before!! I have used Tyrolf for about 11 years now and love them. Reliable , affordable, and consistent. They are an amazing family and run an honest business- I cannot praise them enough. They are truly phenomenal.

Super nice, honest folks. Prices are very reasonable. On more than one occasion I have brought my car in thinking it needed a $500+ repair and they find it was something else causing the problem much cheaper to fix. They have so many opportunities to sell me something I don't need but they are SO HONORABLE! They truly believe that when they do the right thing where their customers are concerned that is what will bring them success. It is such a relief to me to have a car repair shop I can trust. My car is 12 years old! Also their turn around time is fabulous.

I live in Knightdale and needed to find a trustworthy, honest, and competent mechanic for my aging Toyota Tacoma. I was referred to Tyrolf Automotive from the local tire store when I inquired about an front-end alignment check due to unusual tire wear. So I went to Tyrolf, and they checked the alignment. They said it was fine. I had no idea if it was fine or not, but they gained my trust for being honest and not fixing something that wasn't broken.A few months later, I had a low growl, hum noise on the highway. I did some research and thought it was the wheel bearings. I took my truck to Tyrolf, and they diagnosed the problem as the driver side wheel bearing and fixed it...in one day. The problem was solved.A few months later, I developed a bad vibration at highway speeds which would ease up if I let off the gas. After some research, I thought it might be the drive shaft/U-Joints. I took it to Tyrolf, they diagnosed as U-Joints going bad, fixed it, and gave me a ride to and from my home while they worked on it.Fair prices, good work, and honest opinions are what I have experienced at Tyrolf.

I have been going there almost as long as they have been open. Never have I felt ripped off or mislead on work that needed to be done. I love going here and always feel at home.Thanks for always checking over my vehicles to make sure everything is safe. This is not ripping people off, it's to make you aware of problems that you probably didn't know about. And just because it's cheaper does not mean it's a better deal.Thank you Bobbie and Sherrie for always being so nice to me and providing wonderful customer service.

I have been doing business with Tyrolf Automotive for several years and highly recommend them for all types of automotive service. I always feel confident that they will do the work that is needed and have never tried to do unnecessary work. I am always consulted on any additional maintenance that may be needed but am never pressured. I feel they take care of my vehicles just like they would do their own. I am very confident in taking all of my vehicles to Tyrolf.

Tyrolf Automotive has gone above and beyond to keep my vehicle safe and on the road. The owners and their technicians are technically updated on problems with all vehicles, keeps the owner updated as work progresses, and will try their best to get parts ASAP even when in the midst of a pandemic/parts delivery or shortages. One of my friends recommended that I take my car here for repair. He spoke so highly of the integrity of the staff here that I had to try. I was not disappointed in any way! Bobby and his Sheri were amazingly polite, informative and honest from the moment that I booked my appointment all of the way through the explanation of my repair options. Bobby even walked us out the door and showed us a couple of options for how to maintain some of the fluids in our van. Took our car in after another company told us that we needed a $700.00 repair. Bobby spent a ton of time trying to recreate the problem we were told we had... there was no problem! This is the most honest, friendliest, and best car repair shop I've worked with. We will never take our cars any place else, after this amazing experience! Thank you Bobby and Sherri! If you want exceptional automotive care, and great customer service, you want to take your vehicle to Tyrolf Automotive in Knightdale. Their team and mechanics are very knowledgeable and professional. The owners (and mechanics!) are just caring, terrific people. Everytime someone mentions that they can't find a good mechanic, I absolutely do not hesitate to refer them to Tyrolf. We ve been there several times for our cars and they ve always done an excellent job. I will be using this company for any repairs needed on our vehicles. They understood my concern for my vehicle, got me in as soon as possible. They let me drop my vehicle off, so that they could get to it ASAP. My entire brake system went out, the staff explained to me what had gone wrong, and the break down in labor and parts. They had it fixed within a day or two. My fianc� and I personally felt the price was great with the list of things that went wrong. The communication line was excellent we knew exactly what was happening. After all was said and done, they sent a letter thanking us for our business, I felt that was very professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I live in Knightdale, NC and wanted to find a mechanic that was not only in my community but one that was fair and honest. I know, that's a large cup of sweet iced tea. I read the Google reviews for Tyrolf Automotive and thought, hmm let's see if these people on the internet are right. I took my 2006 Chrysler 300 to them to see why my check engine light was on. I called the shop and spoke to the owner (unbeknownst to me) and told him what I was looking for and he said sure come on in. I brought my car in and within minutes his workers checked it out and made a diagnosis, (uncharged none the less). Now here is where I was blown away. The owner told me what the issue was, as well as, what it would take for him to fix it and how much it would cost; but in the midst of that he told me the truth! He said, his costs would be higher than a shop that he could recommend in a neighboring town and that I should reach out to them. I was floored at not only his honesty, but he and his wife then proceeded to get me the contact information for that other shop. I took my car to them that morning and had it back before it was time for my mid-morning snack. I decided right then and there that no matter what I need done to or for any of my vehicles, because of their honesty and fairness, I would always use Tyrolf Automotive as my mechanics. If you are looking for fair, honest, and quality work, Tyrolf Automotive is your place!

It started out as a pleasant experience. Instead of Bobby telling me he could not fix the entire problem and giving me the option to stop or continue, he partially fixed it and told me I had to go to the dealership, but charged more than the dealership would have charged for fixing everything. It s dishonest and very disappointing!!!Bobby, I did ask you to check the tires as they are not driving well and mentioned I thought I needed a sensor. I also asked you to check the overall condition of the vehicle. The prices you are quoting is not what I paid for my diagnostics nor is it the price quoted for repairing both warning lights.As a business I expect all information to be presented up front. It was only AFTER I paid and called back that you provided details on not being able to COMPLETELY repair the vehicle.You are definitely incorrect, you did not offer me any options, you were not upfront nor did you save me money!
