I had a bad experience with this place.Very misleading they quote you one price then quote you a whole different price After having your car for three weeks then having it towed on top of that. You say your reasonable in discussing issueswere at my time was wasted and you did not give a dam.The two woman at the front desk should be exact on price.Bad for business Also found a better price much cheaper and they were exact on quote &there price$If the parts were wrong size& engine size was wrong you sure did not mention it nor were we notified about this matter lies you are telling!Again mind you they had the truck for three wks before telling us.And No I did not use your diagnostic recommendations and the parts are correct and truck is fixed and working .Thanks to a professional mechanic shop. They were great. I went in thinking I needed an alignment because my SUV was shaking so bad. So when I got there the lady came out and got my key and asked me a few questions about the shaking. Then her and the mechanic (& me) went out to inspect my tires. Low and behold, I had a big bubble in one of my tires. They could have easily just given me what I asked for and taken my money but they didn't and I'm grateful.

Just used Butlers for the first time getting tires for a SUV, then later for a trailer. Price was within reason, and work performed was great and fast. Keep it up!

Had a flattened tailpipe on the ambulance. Stopped to see if they had a couple tools we could borrow to get it opened enough to get back to our station. The guys came out and got it opened back up for us. Great service!

I was traveling to Charlotte when my car randomly stopped accelerating near King Mountain. I was frantic, I Googled auto repair shops near me. Butler s was the first to pop up and I looked at their great rating. I called them and told them what was going on. At the time they didn t have anyone that could come to me but they offered a tow company to call. They confirmed that I could turn the car off and retry to start it to see if it would be drivable. It worked! I was able to drive to their location. They checked my car out immediately and let me know that the throttle body will likely need to be replaced. They were able to turn off my check engine light. The nice gentleman said I would be just fine to continue to my destination and get back home. He gave me some suggestions. I would definitely return if something was to happen to my vehicle near that area again and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I m grateful they were able to assist right away and I made it to my appointment without a hitch. I don t write reviews often but I wasn t going to go to bed without letting everyone know the exceptional experience I had today.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in for a tune up and they told me I had no oil in my car and needed a new motor. Which was false. So they wouldn't even give me a tune up. Just told me he could check on me a new motor. I added the amount of oil I was instructed to and it almost locked my motor up because I had way too much oil in my car. I believe he just didn't want to do the work it took to do a tune up or just wanted to make money off me. Thank God I know enough about cars not to believe him. I will never go back tbhere.

Been going to Butler's Auto for many years with many different vehicles; the mechanics there are very good and it is the best place in Kings Mountain by far to have your car serviced. Reasonably priced and always good, honest, quality work.

Initially the service/repair on my car was decent until I made it about a mile out then I noticed a loud knocking sound. I called to inform them and was told they would look at it when I returned that Friday. The mechanic claimed that it had something to do with idling and that it was normal. Although my car NEVER made that sound before I brought it in. It still makes this terrible sound 5 days out. To top it all off the Heavy set lady at the front desk quoted me a price on an inspection and when it was time to pay see gave me a different price. She lied and said I never gave her my registration which is why there was a mix up. This obviously isn't true because they wouldn't even do an inspection without your registration. I expressed to her that it was not good business to quote one thing and change it to another especially when it was at no fault of the customer. With all of that being said I paid it but it still did not sit right with me. As I was leaving I decided to call back to speak with the owner but could not get through because they blocked my number. I called from my daughters phone, they answered. Before I could speak my peace after spending almost $200 the owner got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that EVERYBODY knows the price for this particular service. I was of course surprised at the way I was treated as a customer. He says I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you just come back and get your money, I did just that. When I arrived they pretended to know who I was and what the issue was so I had to explain it once again. Instead of handing me the money back he ( a younger white man with a salt & pepper beard) threw it down on the counter to clearly show disrespect toward me. My experience here was one one I will NEVER encounter again because I will never use them again. Hopefully no one will ever have to experience Butler's Tire & Auto's lack of professionalism and disrespect as I have.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Butler s Tire & Auto Service does fantastic, honest work. I ve not had an attempt to upswell on any work I ve requested. They do honestly work and resolve issues in the customers favor when issues do occur.I ve witnessed multiple customer interactions while waiting on my vehicle, and they handle situations candidly and professionally.I highly recommend them. I also highly recommend you schedule service in advance, some they are pretty popular. If you schedule an appointment in advance, it makes the process much easier.

I WOULD ONLY SUGGEST YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO BUTLER TIRE IF YOU HAVE A GOOD LAWYER.I bought my used vehicle from a dealer so I could have a safe vehicle to transport my family around in and it drove almost perfectly. Three weeks after I purchased it the check engine light came on so I took it to butler tire. I was told my vehicle would be ready in three days.Well, 2 whole weeks later my vehicle was finally ready for pickup and the reason I was given for it taking so long was because "there were cars on the lifts waiting for parts in the mail." Well apparently those parts never arrived because when I got my vehicle back there were cuts made into my dash and there was no reason for any cutting to be done on my vehicle. I went in for a simple check engine light. I was told it was my catalytic converter and the repair charge was $1300.After being informed of the repair cost and later noticing the cuts made in my dashboard, I immediately contacted the dealer who sold me the car and he told me to bring the vehicle back it might be something else. Well turns out there were two O2 sensors throwing the computer off because the check engine has been off ever since.However, numerous systems that worked perfectly the entire time prior to taking my vehicle to butler tire had started to fail almost immediately like door locks, and A.C. The only reasons I didn't return to Butler to complain were because I know if they are bold enough to steal my vehicle parts and exchange them for faulty ones, then they are obviously bold enough to lie about it. The only reason I didnt pursue the issue in court is because family has been rooted in Kings Mountain for generations operating businesses, and have the money for a better lawyer than i do.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Everyone's at butlers are very friendly and nice the mechanics guys doubles checks on ur cars n butlers does not charge u stuff that ur vehicles doesn't need it If they see a problem with ur vehicles they will come to waiting room n talk to u or show I recommend getting ur vehicles done at butlers in kings mountain NC they been good to me n my husband for a truck n car .they always busy but they will make a way to get ur vehicles in to get worked on or oil changed.i ONLY TRUST BUTLERS TIRES WITH MY TRUCK & CAR . Waiting room is very cleaned

On my way up 85, on a 12 hour drive, I got a puncture. Stopped at a major tire chain, and when I asked if they could quickly get me back on the road, they said it wouldn t be quick.I headed up the road a bit to Butler s, and they immediately got to work trying to help. And when I say immediately , I mean I hadn t finished my sentence to the receptionist before someone jumped up and walked me back to my car to take a look. After it became clear a patch wouldn t do, they found a used tire that fit, balanced and put it on. This, with all the service bays full - they were busy that day, and pulled someone off a job just to get me taken care of.So far, great service. But when it came time to pay, they wouldn t take my money! We argued, politely, and they said they wouldn t charge me for the tire, just the service. Even then it was difficult to pay them what it was worth for getting me back on the road so quickly.These folks are good people who saved me a longer drive, and did it graciously. The tire got us home safely, and is still going strong. I can t say enough good things about the people at Butler. Thank you again!

Took my vehicle here to have my engine swapped.They swapped it but apparently didn't get the timing right. I blew a starter a couple months later due to it.Took it back, told them the starter went bad and I assumed the timing was off.They replaced the starter but still having the same timing issues.Check engine light comes on related to the timing, but only the check engine light.I go to pick it up after they've "fixed" it and suddenly I have a terrible sounding undriveable car. I suspect the tensioner is loose.I take it back again, and they keep it for over a week to look at it, do nothing, and then tell me I need a new engine."Repairs" aside, their customer service is awful.**EDITAfter the fact, Butlers did offer to do the labor for free if I were to supply a new engine.It was at least some consolation.**EDITTensioner had basically exploded. Costed me some money to get it repaired (at a different shop) but much less than a new engine would've.

I sent my car here thinking it wouldn't take that long and it ended up taking 2 weeks and when I eventually had it taken somewhere else even they could tell they did nothing except cause more problems. That environment was very hostile and it felt like it might have been discriminative. Their customer service is atrocious and I have never been talked to the way they talked to me since I was a child. If I am being honest save your money and go somewhere else all they caused were more problems and drama. Would not recommend not even to people I don't like.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Just had 5 new tires installed on my Jeep for a much better price than everyone else. The tires look great and have no vibrations, so the balancing is perfect. They also picked it up from my work (close to their shop) and brought it back for me. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and amazing pricing.Service: TiresService: Tires

They are the most friendly and accurate place to get all your car needs! The guy over the shop fixed my bumper for absolutely free after I had been quoted 300 dollars by other shops! Basically just to tighten up a bolt.... So kindness goes a long way with me! I went back the next morning and let Butlers do my brakes and spent some money with them! Honestly this place is an awesome place to go for all your car care needs and they aren't trying to drain your pockets... Thanks to the Butler Crew

Always had no problems with receiving service in a time matter and from very knowledgeable people. However not the case today! My car was taken there 5 days ago and I told them I probably needed a battery or started. 5 days later I m calling and begging for service. Jackie went above and beyond to help me get a battery in my car! Brand new building, front office personal has gone from competent knowledgeable and customer service oriented to totally clueless!! 2 visits ago it was 13 days to change a fuse! If this is now the norm I may have to take my business elsewhere, sadly.

Great shop with awesome service!Very honest people who are dedicated to making sure you and your vehicle are well taken care of. Shop is fast pace but they do things right and ALWAYS follow up. While they were repairing my transmission, which they did a great job of, my car was damaged. While they eventually did fix it, they tried to pay only for parts, not paint or installation. They do good work, but I'll be going elsewhere from now on. Customer service and taking responsibility is too important to ignore.

My right brake light was out on a road trip and a kind gentleman fixed it on short notice, so we could safely get back on the road home. The price also was more than fair. I recommend them highly! Thank you for the great experience.

I use Butlers for all my vehicle maintenance. They have always been good to me. Prices are reasonable and the mechanics know their stuff. I have been using Butlers since I moved to km 24 years now. Thanks Mike
