Excellent service each time I've visited this Valvoline location!Mr. Jerome has exceptional people skills, he's professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about keeping the customer happy. Listening in on the conversations around our vehicle and below it, we could tell there was a great sense of camaraderie and pride. That makes me as a consumer feel comfortable and I'm assured that if the mechanics love their job, that usually translates to a job well done for me.These guys should receive recognition for a job well done and also for their superb customer service skills and for simply being good souls. Took my vehicle in and the Valvoline team did an amazing job. They fully engaged with me during every step of process. John the advisor is very knowledgeable, took the time to explain in detail and answer all my questions. Everyone there was nice, friendly and full of energy that made my experience that much better. I was in and out super fast. I will always come back to this location for my service needs! Great job and thank you team!!

I had a WONDERFUL experience with my full service oil change! They were all very professional and quick. You can tell the Manager, John was super informative and happy to be there. They all seemed to know what they were doing and love their job which I can appreciate. They also give military discounts! A little pricey but for the quick and processional experience, I did not mind.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! They do not know what they are doing!! They almost blew up my brand new 2019 Nissan pathfinder!! Right after we got the oil changed we noticed dark thick blue/gray smoke coming out. We took it to a mechanic having no idea what was wrong but figured it was something with the oil since it just started acting up right after we got it changed. The mechanic said they put way too much oil in which caused it to start burning oil! It could have been very bad for our car! Our mechanic wrote us a diagnosis and receipt and said take it back to them to get your money back. We went to talk to them and even showed them videos of our car and the smoke. They blew us off for three weeks. Finally my husband got to talk to a supervisor who clearly has no costumer service and probably hates his life. They were all useless. We contacted cooperate and they will be holding accountable who did this to our car. They could have just given us our money back and things wouldn t have gotten this far. I hope the person (whose name I have) looses his job. He needs a lesson on how to work on ALL CARS. we will still be paying to have our car fixed over the next few months as this is not just a one time fix!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Went to this Valvoline for a standard oil, change and tire rotation. When sitting in the lobby, I noticed that the manager that was doing the tire rotation was removing my Lugnuts, as if he were trying out for a NASCAR pit crew. When reviewing my vehicle, after the oil change and tire rotation, I noticed that there was damage to two of my four rims. They damaged appeared to come from someone having swiftly and carelessly hit my rims while trying to quickly change the Lugnuts. When brought to the managers attention, he instantly dismissed it and said that his district manager would review footage from the oil change and tire rotation, and follow up with me the next week. After not receiving a call for eight days, I decided to call back up to the shop and check in on the status of my complaint. The manager instantly had an attitude was dismissive and stated that the district manager had already reviewed. It was not calling me back and saw no fault as the rims were not laid flat on their face or thrown around the shop. I stated that I never claimed that they were lights out on their Facebook that the Lugnuts were change swiftly causing noticeable damage that have not been there since the rims were fairly new purchase and I have never changed, or had a tire rotation. The district manager couldn t even bother to call me back. If you know any other location in Jacksonville to have basic maintenance done to your car I would recommend going there because clearly customer service is not a priority in this location. I've been here multiple times with decent results but my last visit will be my last. I had a low tire when I arrived and it was not checked or filled, even though it said on the receipt that it was. If you advertise that you do an inspection, you probably should actually do it. Also stated on my receipt I denied the manufacturer recommended oil, this was never discussed with me so Im not even sure what it means or if I got the right oil. On top of this, I ran over something in the parking lot, which caused me to have a flat tire 2 miles down the road. Things happen and I get it, but I filed a claim with corporate and they were supposed to call me within a few days and I've never heard anything back.

Fast work and very helpful. I knew I needed a light change they did that quickly on top of an oil change and they didn't judge me even though I went 7,000 miles past my expected oil change date.Even more amazing, the gentleman who worked with me offered to check my cabin error filter because it's often forgotten about, save me from certain death breathing in all of this gunk from clearly a lifetime's worth of filtering air.Thank you to Shyloh, I don't think that's how it's spelled... I will definitely be back to this Valvoline

I went there for an inspection at 4:00 PM and was told they could not do because they were leaving. I ended going to Castro down the road and then went and got my new registration. When we drove by the Valvoline Instant Oil Change, I saw they were still open, no cars the bays and the employees standing and talking. They have lost my business because they just did not want to deal with it because, I guess $13.00 for an inspection isn t worth it. To me money earned is always good. I will drive down the road instead.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. The amount of stress that I went through after only getting a oil change at this location was unnecessary. First off, I called the location before I arrived to make sure that they were open and not super busy. When I arrive to the location, a car pulled in ahead of me and no one came out for about five minutes. I called about six times before the other car decided to leave. I should ve left with them, instead I went to park out front to go inside, but when the service people saw that I was not leaving, they came out and asked how they could help me. A young gentleman told me to come to bay one after I explained that I just needed an oil change. I pulled around and they did my oil change but did not know how much to put in it. They said the yellow stick was 4.9 quarts, and the red stick was 5.1 quarts. They proceeded to put a whopping 5.7 quarts of oil in, I m guessing just to be safe, even though over filling the oil can mess up my engine and make driving extremely unsafe and cause problems for later. I left and went to a friends for just a few minutes and when I came out, there was a huge puddle of oil under my car, I took it to a mechanic at another shop, because I was scared to take it back, and they had to wash, spray, and dry everything under my hood, because oil had went everywhere. He explained to me and showed me that they overfilled my oil. He also told me that the, air filter was loose and not hand tight. I have no leak they are just extremely careless here, and I was freaking out most of all day thinking something was wrong with my vehicle when it was just careless young men. Will never return to this establishment. Go somewhere else!

I went in and had an oil change in November. Everything seemed to have went well. Well, I went back in yesterday for another change and they told me that all the bolts in the skid plate that protects my oil filter were stripped out so they couldn't be perform the service. I politely let the guy working know that nobody has been under the vehicle since them. He told me there was absolutely nothing that he could do. I will be trying to contact someone in upper management today. I would strongly recommend not using this shop for any services. There are way too many crooks out there and it just keeps getting worse.Service: Oil change

Quick turnaround and definitely the first time I drove my car into the bay. All the times I ve used oil change/state inspection services at this shop I got out of the car and one of the employees drove it into bay. But, that aside everything was smooth sailing. I was in & out within approximately 20-25 minutes and happy with the service. Bravo!!

Went here for an oil change at 6300 miles (full synthetic). Techs pulled my dipstick and said my oil still looked pristine (without knowing how many miles I had on it) and that I didn't really need an oil change yet. I got one anyway, and full synthetic, I really appreciate the honesty of the mechanics here. Sometimes you worry that you'll try and get unnecessarily upsold but this isn't one of those places. Thanks gents!

Pulled into parking lot and was immediately met by an employee which was extremely nice. Pulled right into bay and they started. Guy took my info n helped me with what I didn't know. I went for oil change but decided I also needed windshield wipers. He helped me with everything n got it set up. All the guys working were very nice and professional! It was a nice experience n very quick. I will definitely be back! Google step it up so we can give 10+ stars!!

Amazing what a difference 7 months and a change in management can make. Last year I was extremely pleased with my car service and the customer service here. Gave it a rave review, well deserved at the time. I went in Saturday for my oil change and complimentary 18-Point Safety check. I told the gentleman that I was heading to Raleigh Thursday to pick up my daughter and grandson from the airport and wanted to make sure everything looked copacetic before I took the road trip and to please check my tires and pressure. Service was speedy, as usual. I was told everything looked good and left. Yesterday my uncle was at my house, standing next to my car and he looked down and noticed the the inside tread of both my front tires is worn down to the cord, with actual wire sticking out of the one on the drivers side. Had he not noticed this, I could easily have had an incident either going to or coming back from Raleigh, with my child and grandchild in the car. When I called this morning and asked to speak to the manager (who remembered me) and to relay what had happened and inquire as to how this could have been overlooked I was given an attitude and essentially told they check the tire pressure, not the tires themselves. Now, I'm 54. I've had a LOT of oil changes in my life. I am the daughter of a retired mechanic. I have NEVER before failed to have someone let me know during an oil-change/service when my tires needed attention. It's part of why I go and pay someone to change my oil and check the basics. So they can let me know if I need to address something. I have reached out to corporate/district on this matter. Not expecting much there, but I will not use the service here again. My current experience is that they just don't care, have no pride in workmanship and customer service is not a priority. I'll go someplace where it is.Service: Oil change
