James is a very honest and genuine mechanic and business owner. He takes personal interest in the quality and life/ performance expectancy with each service he provides for your vehicle. It was very difficult for me to find someone I could trust to work on my foreign Japanese import (Rx7) but he has reassured me several times by explaining more than he has to, constantly updating me and keeping the line of communication very open and inviting. I am happy with my decision to bring my girl here and hope to rely on this shop for future upgrades as well! Thanks James!

Absolutely best experience I ve had with any shop that s worked on my car. It s near impossible to find someone as transparent and honest with their work every step of the way giving you options and keeping you in the loop. I know I ll be back with any project or issues I may run into in the future.

James had my car up and running a day after I experienced a no start no crank issue that I wasn t able to solve after I had replaced the battery and starter. Very honest, knowledgeable, and fair pricing. I highly recommend for anyone experiencing a complex issue.

If I could give this place zero starts I would. My mother took her car here in a pinch, yes. . In a pinch. Visiting from seven hours away, she needed her A/C fixed in the dead of a North Carolina Heat wave. She took with her her insurance claim for coverage and fixing. This company did not file her claim, did not properly fix the air conditioning, and kept the car for "extra days" to see if the air worked after repair. We received the car back with a significantly less amount of gas and a temporarily patched car. The A/C broke again just hours later and upon taking it to another mechanic , discovered Superior Automotives broke more than what they fixed in the process. My mother has tried calling back to rectify this issue to no avail. They have not answered the phone unless under the threat of getting a lawyer. This is beyond unprofessional and a down right swindle. If you're one who enjoys supporting the community and your local workers, do not take your car here, they are not doing honest work at the least.

Had a great experience with this shop and the staff. Very professional, knowledgeable and work in a timely manner. James was able to show me what was wrong with my older vehicle and fix it quickly. I love this shop and it's business ethics! I had a new engine put in, and James made sure all safety measures were covered and he has great work ethics because he made sure it was all done in a timely manner and that's no easy job! I will take all my foreign (Audi A4 Quatro & BMW 325i) vehicles to him... As long as we live in Jacksonville I will always take my vehicles to Superior. I grew up in my dads garage so I m always skeptical about mechanics honesty, and let me tell you! They are 1000% honest. If it s something they can t do or they know somewhere cheaper they will let you know. They are great with time frames and communication. They check in after servicing the vehicles to make sure everything is still great. They replaced the engine in one vehicle and remembered that almost two years later! Great customer service, great values and integrity. The only place to work on my vehicles from here on out!Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Update**I brought in my 13 Shelby GT500 for some service and not only did I get what i needed, but he also managed to find a small leak in my rear diff, fixed it and filled my fluids all same day! I couldn t have asked for better more professional service.Brought in my second Shelby for wiring issues with my fuel pumps being aftermarket not only did he knock it out of the park but went ahead did a battery relocation to the trunk. Superior work is an understatement. I was thrilled with the results. I was so happy with everything and how quickly it was done I went ahead and had him install my new clutch. I noticed a nail in my tire at 730pm, called them for help and they were able to get me in for an immediate repair. My driver side was stuck on heat he quickly assessed the problem shortly later it become stuck on air faulty part had warranty he fixed it at no charge he was very flexible with our schedule & got it fixed quickly.

Did a quick look over at a problem i thought I was having with my truck. Granted I didn't know if it was a problem and would have just blindly payed someone to fix the part. James did a look over and could have easily took my money like a lot of the mechanics in jacksonville but reassured me that the part was fine and gave me future reccomended parts to keep my vehicle healthy. Will be going back again.

My 04 Toyota Runner driver window rolled down and was not coming back up, luckily Superior Automotive was the only mechanic shop to call me back on a Sunday which saved my life especially since it only took 2 days for my repair to happen! If I could give a negative review I would. This shop had my vehicle for over a solid YEAR, and had zero resolution to the issue. When confronted, or questioned the owner became very unprofessional and even cussed at me. After having the vehicle PROPERLY diagnosed by a real mechanic, the issue was fixed in less than 1 hour. Hope they become blacklisted, so they are unable to steal any more money from our Military Men/ Women.

Absolutely love superior automotive!!! I have been going to them for several years with several different vehicles. I had a clutch go bad and since it was a faulty part that had already been replaced recently, they fixed it completely free of charge!! Another time I went to get a diagnosis and they completely welded up my exhaust hangers for free!! Great service and affordable, my window switch went out and was fixed in no time. He was cheaper than any one in Jacksonville. I also was able to get some other things taken care of for a little to nothing. Overall it was a great experience, prompt service, and again very affordable! I heard this place was blacklisted and was warned to stay away I broke down across the street and they where super nice towed my vehicle correctly pricing was amazing and had my car back on the road asap same day. I asked why they where black listed and was told due to some marines complaining and wanting work for free and getting disrespectful with staff so they kicked them out the shop and those kids lied about the business to the base. I was treated right and wasn't overcharged I will be coming back.

They have been extremely nice and they are helping me fix my car. My car sat over a year, had problems starting due to sitting. They took on the project and has been very patient with me. I work a part time job, just trying to get on my feet.
