Worst place to get a oil change done at. The first time all the oil came out soon as I left and my engine locked up then the second time I have oil leaking out and it smells like burning oil. When I went back for them to check it out because clearly they did something wrong AGAIN. The guy just said go to a full service place

My wife went for an oil change and NC inspection. They were going to fail the inspection unless she bought new windshield wipers because of "streaks.". I replaced the blades less than 6 months ago. The windshield was just dirty. After she refused to buy new blades she was accused of being difficult and the technician refused to do the inspection. A manager then came in and said that the Honda dealer tightened the skid plates so much that they couldn't even do the oil change. Yeah I really believe that one. Thanks for treating your customers so badly. Never use this location. Another oil change shop did the oil change in less than 30 minutes the next day.

This place was speedy, which is usually a good thing. But in this instance it wasn't. I had my "service" performed in approximately 7 minutes not because they were efficient, but rather negligible. They replaced my oil but that was it. There wasn't the usual wiper blade or tire pressure check, nor did they check my cabin filter. I was barely made eye contact with or spoken to. I've been here once before and had better service.

Had a great experience at this location! We stopped by right before they closed and the tech was so friendly. His name was Vincent and could not have had better customer service. Did not make us feel bad for coming late at all. On top of that, he completed the oil change quickly and was happy to answer my husband s questions. We will be back! Thank you, Vincent!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. By far, the worst customer service and un professionalism there can ever be by an establishment. I went in for an inspection, and they tried to fail me by saying I needed new wipers. The wipers on the vehicle were just 5 months old. Felt more like a place trying to scam people rather than providing people with good customer service. Went to another location and got my vehicles inspection done with ZERO issues and no extra out of pocket expenses. I would go here for any reason at all. There are more options around this area that provide the same services.

Valvoline in Huntersville, I would like to say this is one of the most positive service appointments I've had. They were kind, thoughtful and ready to help. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with warm,friendly smiles and were very courteous and helpful throughout my whole service visit . I like to give a special shout out to Jaden and JR. They were great in assisting me, fast, friendly and very polite which I really appreciated!

Wish I could give them a zero star. I am getting a lawyer and suing the hell out of this company. Valvoline should be ashamed of this establishment and the people they have representing them. Had an oil change done that led me into nothing but circles with no definitive reason, explanation or resolution with extreme lack of responsibility and accountability let s not even start with the combative customer service techs with obviously too little training.My mechanic said my car was in great shape even though it s older because it was maintained by myself and previous owner. My personal mechanic was out of town and I decided to use a well known company only to engage with people who had terrible manners and no care for my car because they left the oil cap loosened and no oil filter replacement. After voicing my concerns they totally disregarded their actions and blamed this matter on me even though when I drove it there with no prior problems. I reached out and started a claim a month ago and still have not heard back when I was told I would hear from someone within a week. Seeing these reviews it saddens me that valvoline won t help the people who keeps them in business. If anyone wants to sign a petition on how wrong you have been done by Valvoline, let s do it. I m done watching them get away with mistreating us hard working people

DO NOT RECOMMEND for NC state inspections. Staff and Management is uneducated on vehicle classification types and makes assumptions which would fail an inspection.The Subaru Outback is not a sedan and is classified as a Mid-size SUV. NC state law states a SUV is allowed to have any level of window tint on the rear windows.The staff/Mgr state they fail any vehicle with tint less than 35% on any windows. This is not the law and this place needs to wake up and know your job.A Google search would have resolved the issue but they preferred to argue what a manufacturer classes a vehicle over their opinion of what a SUV is 17 years of business with this company and this level of service has lost a loyal customer.

Whats the deal with $145.00 for an oil change on a 2019 VW Jetta?Grease monkey in Huntersville charged me $48 for the same service with synthetic oil.I left Valvoline and came back after getting an oil change from grease monkey in Huntersville for $48 for synthetic oil. I asked the child at Valvoline why do you guys charge so much he said it s because it s a European car. I said yes but this is a Chevrolet of German cars is probably one of the most popular cars you ll ever see and it s very simple and cheap to maintain. He said it s still European and that s all he kept saying over and over and over and that s the price.I own 1 Range Rover and 1 jaguar. both cost $220 per oil change.VW is in the same category? Maybe I should sell them both to valvoline!Horrible service. go to Grease monkey! Or anywhere else don t give your money to these fools, there were five boys working there younger than 22 and all work a complete bunch of fools

I understand that accidents happen, but I went in to get my inspection. When I got home, I realized they did not return my registration card. Now I should have checked before I left, however, I called, they said they had it, and I went back to get it.When I got there I was informed that they accidentally gave my registration card to someone else (an individual with a completely different car, and sex) and couldn t get ahold of them. They then said that lady would have to come back then I would have to come back This is a legal document with personal information on it. Attention to detail should definitely be required. All I got was a my bad, man .****Update: Two days later and I still hadn t heard back from Valvoline, so I called. They said they can t get ahold of the person. I asked what the plan was and the response was we don t know. Again, personal information on this legal document and the establishment seems unbothered. The response of upper management providing training doesn t get my registration back, nor have there been any type of accommodations provided.

Went in for oil change and tire rotation. Half hour in, they came to tell me that had no oil filter in stock for my car, but were searching at other stores for one. After another 45 minutes, they called me to the cash register. Told me they never were able to find one, so they d give me a 10% discount ($12). I asked how much it would cost to get it elsewhere. He said probably $25 for the part plus labor. I told him no way was $12 a sufficient discount at which point he told me his cost was $8.65 so it was a generous discount in his opinion . I said I disagreed at so he tactually threatened to take away any discount at all. I told him, go ahead and I ll make sure to write an honest review. He sucked in his breath and bit his bottom lip and comped the entire cost. He also said he d call me when the part came in. 3 weeks later, still waiting. Had he made good on his word, I would have gladly paid 100% of the bill. Unfortunately, his word meant nothing. The jury is still out on whether my tires were rotated.

Beware of this place. Went for an inspection and they were going to fail my new car unless I bought a windshield wiper due to temporary streaks. When I said it s because of some road dirt or oil and it just needed a wash, he got offended and said that s not my job . Kind of funny and kind of not. Took my time and business up the road.

Just experienced the slowest instant oil change ever. Plenty of technicians there (6 or 7) plus a guy who looked like a boss. A lot of talking and walking around. Not the usual pace that I have experienced. Will not go back to this location.

If I could give 0 I would. They did an oil change with no oil in it. My car takes 5 quarts that engine was dry like a snake skin. NEVER GOING TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN.

July 2023 I needed an oil change for a NC inspection. The oil change was fast however the guy said my battery was bad because it had zero cold cranking amps. Of course I knew better. I had to get windshield wipers replaced anyway. Went to the nearest auto parts store got new windshield wipers and had my battery tested for free. Of course it was just fine.

Went in last month for an oil change, next day went to my garage to find big puddle of fresh oil. Called and the manager told me to bring it back and he would make sure I was taken care of. He was very nice and got me in quickly, allowing me to cut the line. He changed the drain plug and put fresh oil in. This morning found my car leaking oil again!! My car only had 60k on it and is in good condition. I will never be back to this location or any other valvoline. They seem understaffed and the staff they have don t seem properly trained. Very disappointed with the service at this location. The tech was friendly but very distracted in various conversations with others walking around the shop. The tech broke my windshield washer tank cap off, never filled my windshield washer fluid (water) but instead proceeded to unscrew my radiator overflow tank cap and fill it up with water! I did not discover this until the next day. Now I have a broken windshield washer tank cap and a radiator coolant overflow tank that is filled up beyond the "fill to here" line. Now I have to drain out the excess water (now mixed with coolant) from my radiator system, rebalance the correct ratio of coolant/water and buy a new windshield washer tank cap. I strongly advise others to avoid taking their vehicles to this location.Service: Oil change

Used to be my go to for inspections. This time, everything they touched was left with oily/greasy prints. The door(s), handle, hood, hood release, steering wheel, etc all had to be cleaned. More people were standing around talking than working, so it took longer than it should have. I won't be back.

Beware pricing assumed Valvoline would at least be cheaper than the dealership for a BMW oil change. Not the case. Charged $145 when dealership cost would have been $100, all before tax. Will not make the mistake of going to Valvoline again.UPDATE: valvoline s response references online discounts. I shouldn t have to get a coupon to avoid paying nearly 50% more than a dealership charge. I will never use valvoline again.

I came to this location for an oil change early in the morning because I had to leave for a vacation later that morning. I ended up getting there before they opened, and Sully and Cade opened right on time, quickly asked what service I needed, got me loaded in the bay, and went through their quick and easy process to get my oil changed. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. These guys are great! Highly recommend!Service: Oil change

There is no INSTANT or 15-minutes about this place. I spent a hour just waiting in line. There was zero expediency about the staff. I ended up driving through and leaving because I could not wait any longer. If I wanted to wait several hours for an oil change, I would have gone to a dealership and waited in an air conditioned lobby.

I have been going to this place to have my vehicle's service for the past twenty years. Over this time this has been one of the best places around to have a vehicle service. They were very thorough and i'm very quick. I had the utmost confidence in this facility. Unfortunately the last few times that I have went to the establishment. I feel that my vehicle and service was very much neglected. It appears that most of the items on the checklist that they say have been checked or verified of your vehicle has not been looked at. Apparently no longer do they check the tire pressure or add hair to your tires to verify inflation. Apparently no longer do they check lights. They do not add windshield washer fluid. I was informed that I did not have a windshield washer reservoir cap. Apparently they did not put it on last time they added fluid. Nor did they add fluid because it was missing the cap. Who only knows what else they have been neglecting. Is the service technician who was waiting on me spent most of the time during? The. Service? Standing on the stairs to the service bay below me on his telephone texting or surfing the net.Fortunately there are other valve of lane express lube for locations that do take pride in their work. I feel that this wait's beloved establishment that I had recommended to countless friends and colleagues has a lot lived up to. It's previous standard and and it's no longer the place it once was.

There are great new things happening here. I'm not sure if it's under new management or what, but I see a round of raises coming soon! I have been using this location for some time, and there were new perks added to my routine oil change, and I appreciated it so much!

Just went here for an inspection because it's a convenient location. First time I've ever had someone threaten to fail me for streaky wiper blades if I didn't buy new ones. Just in the business of nickel and diming customers for everything they can get.Response to the owner's response:If my old windshield wipers were "faulty" and a "safety concern" then I guess the new one's that your lovely manager sold me are now "faulty" and a "safety concern" a few weeks later since they leave a small streak on the first wipe just like my others. Maybe I'll swing by for a free replacement every 2 weeks since clearly all windshield wipers that don't work as perfectly as a fairytale are a "safety concern."

Very nice employees, late hours for those who work, and you can generally get an oil change in less than an hour or so. Can't really complain. Yes, the cars do back up from time to time but I usually just come back at a different time rather than wait. No issues here.

I got charged $10 for factory window tinting for an inspection, so be careful and look at your receipt before leaving. I've had the vehicle for 7 years and that has never happened. I do appreciate they were open on a Sunday.
