I had been using this AAA shop for a couple of years with no problems - great service, great value, everything inspired confidence. Until summer 2023. When I was charged $300+ to replace a battery on a 2010 Jetta. Followed by replacing the cooling system for $2500 about 6 weeks later. Only that didn t stop the car from dangerously over heating . So then they replaced the radiator. Right in the middle of this, my teenage son was killed. After a lot of discussion with AAA, the radiator was replaced, but not warranteed. The whole feeling of the transaction was slimy, with multiple service managers giving differing responses to what was happening with my car. I would not recommend this shop.

I went in for a safety inspection and was handed an $1800 bill. I was told if I did not have the items on the bill corrected they would not give me a pass for safety inspection. The items that were failed were based off of opinion of the individual doing the safety inspection. I offered to correct the minimum, but they said that was not acceptable save your time and money, and go somewhere else.I immediately took it somewhere else and passed. It s amazing how unethical a business can be.

Every time I visit, the staff is friendly and professional. I am about to have my insurance reviewed or plan a vacation while I wait on my car to be completed. Just recently found out all their oil changes use full synthetic oil and a courtesy Digital Vehicle Inspection report is text/emailed after every visit. The report is awesome because you can see what the tech saw instead of relying on their word. Plus you can review it later.

I took my 2013 RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi pickup truck to AAA - Huntersville for the AAA Maintain Oil Change Package. I had their $69.99 coupon for a full synthetic oil and oil filter change plus a free tire rotation and multi-point inspection. Good price for all that. A couple things were a little odd however. I dealt with a service writer named Tony and the service technician was Keziah. Tony came to me in the waiting room to ask if I wanted the air filter replaced. My response was, "Is it dirty? Does it need replacing?" He didn't know because it would require removing some screws to remove the cover for the air filter. So what is so hard about that? Later on Tony told me the wheel lock key in the glove compartment for the 4 locking lug nuts didn't fit so they couldn't do the tire rotation. This had never been a problem in the past at Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. I paid the bill for the oil change and the first thing I did when I got to my truck was check the wheel lock key. I had no problem fitting it on all 4 wheels, so I went back inside to find Tony. Another service writer told me Tony had gone to lunch. The second service writer verified that the wheel lock key fit fine and had another service technician named Chris supervise Keziah doing the tire rotation that should have been done earlier.

Several weeks ago, I brought my car into AAA due to the fact that my Dashboard lights kept coming on. I had already had 2 different mechanics look at the vehicle and couldn't figure it out. Lex McPherson is the name of the mechanic that works at AAA. He not only diagnosed the problem, he also was able to instruct me on how to contact the dealership to get the issue resolved. He literally saved me close to $10,000 in repairs, as this turned out to be a design flaw in the engine. I cannot recommend him highly enough. The man knows his engines. And I am forever grateful for it.

Needed a tow from my house to mechanic twice. First time pre-scheduled on a Saturday for p/u on Monday. Driver came on Sunday!? Called AAA and canceled but driver came anyway. Driver good about it; no worries. New driver came Monday, hooked-up, took car.Next p/u, got adivised driver would be here in 25 minutes, got update, now 90 minutes. Once got here, all good but irritated on time change.

I normally take my vehicle to the Lexus dealership for service, but I chose to take it here since I have a AAA membership. Jamel was the service Advisor that assisted me. He was professional, courteous and friendly as he thoroughly explained the services and why they were needed. The technicians that serviced my vehicle were great and gave a thorough overview and recommendation for services. I m glad I went here and will be happy to return in the future.

2 different estimates for the same work. Over inflated tires, after tire rotation, creating an awful ride. Had to bring car somewhere else to figure out the problem.

I m giving them 5 Stars because the staff went above and beyond for me. I was 300 miles away from home when my car broke down and got towed to their facility. They stayed late on a Friday evening to repair my car so I could get back on the road. Other staff was preparing to help me as well rent a car if needed. The facility was spotless and everyone was so accommodating. I cannot recommend theme enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

The travel desk closes at 1 PM on Saturday, but Google Maps shows 4 PM. There is a paper sign posted on the door showing different hours for travel. Really? I expect better from AAA.

Went got oil changed a couple months ago. All went good till I got driving down the road and the car felt weird. So we checked the tire pressure and it was 42 psi???? I called and they told me to bring it back but I was on the road already. I love this place and actually have appointment today. Let's hope all goes well this time!

2019- Thank you to all staff in AAA car care in huntersville, I am happy and grateful for your services. " my car say's thank you. "2022 - I call asked questions on the type of repairs. The downside of the AAA auto repairs charges $$$ too much compare to other shops - I would have to think twice before I come in again for repairs.

Would not recommend this facility or AAA in general. Called AAA about a dead battery. Waited 4 hours for someone to come and AAA dispatch called back and said they couldn't find anyone. I should call back the next day to try again. I called the next day and they dispatched someone to look at the battery. The tech came to the house and diagnosed the 1 yr old AAA battery as bad but said they didn't have one with them. They were expecting a delivery that afternoon and I should contact them later in the day. Later in the day, we contacted the tech and he said he did not receive a battery. I should try the AAA store in Huntersville. I called the Huntersville store and explained the situation. I had bought the truck 6 months ago and the battery was 6 months old at that pt. On the AAA website it listed battery warranties were transferable if both members were AAA members. We provided the previous owners name and info as well as our own. I was told that they didn't have a battery in stock and they would need me to bring the truck in so they could diagnose it. I explained the battery was dead and was not holding any charge and I would have to drive the truck in on the alternator. I also let them know a AAA tech had already been to the house and diagnosed the battery. They told me that they have no way of looking that up and they had to do it themselves. If I really needed a battery I should contact the Charlotte AAA location and see if they had a battery in stock. I explained that I didn't want to have to drive 30+ minutes on alternator alone. They mentioned getting batteries in on Friday morning, so I asked to schedule an appt for Friday morning. I waited three more days and called Friday morning to confirm they had the battery in stock. I jumped the truck myself and drove 20 minutes to their location. Upon arriving I gave them my info and was told that they don't warranty batteries unless bought by the original owner. I showed them on the AAA website where it showed it was covered and was told that it did not apply in this region, only other regions in the country. I explained that we had confirmed it on the phone with dispatch and also when we spoke with the AAA store a few days before but was told I would have to pay $295 for a new battery.After waiting 5 days and getting subpar response from AAA as well as wasting my time, I jumped the truck again myself in the parking lot and drove home. I went to Ford and purchased a brand new AGM OEM battery for $200 and will never do business with AAA or their associates again.

I had a tire issue. I stopped in and an analysis of the situation was done immediately. It was determined that the tire could not be repaired, but they had a tire in stock that matched the ones I had so the safety of my vehicle was restored immediately. They told me the other 3 tires still had good tread- they didn't try to looksell me more than I needed. Price was reasonable- I had no need to look elsewhere. They just got it done. Great experience. I had no appointment but was taken care of right away. Very happy.Service: Tires

I was headed out on a road trip when i found myself with a flat tire an hour before I was supposed to leave. I called around and no one could get me in. I searched online and came across AAA which was very close to my home. I was at their door when the opened and greeted by a very nice employee. He checked me in, took my keys, and fixed my tire and I was on my way like it never happened. Everyone was friendly, the place was clean, the employees were knowledgable and kept me updated on the progress and 100% exceeded my expectations and got my morning back on track positively. We will definitely use them again.Service: Tires

I was very surprised and pleased with my service here. My car died on us at 1 am on Saturday following Thanksgiving. Called them in the morning, they helped me get my car towed and find a rental over the phone. Come Monday, they had my car diagnosed, called me for an update and approval, then repaired and ready to go! All in 1 business day! Such awesome customer service!

Dealer quoted $105 to plug my tire and AAA did it for a mere 39.99+ tax. Now that's a deal. I was also given a very reasonable quote on new tires. The service was very fast and thorough, not to mention the facility was spotless and orderly - even the repair bay!!!Service: TiresService: Tires

The store is very clean and the people are helpful. One of the best things I can say is that their prices were surprisingly cheaper than many of the surrounding shops. The only reason I did not give five stars was when I was getting my tires changed the front end staff told me that the problem with my brakes and rotors could lead to a leak in the rotor.... Well a rotor is a solid piece of steel it can't leak. But apart from that the back end seemed to be knowledgeable and they did a great job pointing out the flaws on the vehicle. I knew it all going in and they pointed out each issue. They did great work, I was happy with the price, front end just needs to slow down a bit and make sure they understand what the mechanics are telling them. Overall I will definitely go back.

Every time I go in, a technician tries to tell me unnecessary things or untruthful things my car needs. Recently the technician told me my car needed new spark plugs (mine were replaced a month ago). A few months ago they told me my struts and axels were leaking. I took my car to get a second opinion, and the mechanic said there was NO such leak. Not to mention, the technician told me I had 2 bolts missing from my oil pan and immediately installed more. The AAA location in huntersville has been the only location that changes my oil, and this will be the LAST time. I feel these technicians take full advantage of people, and don t think people are aware of the things they tell them.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

The place was clean and the people were polite. The price was reasonable. I went for an oil change and rotation. I did not feel I needed the other services they suggested because I had them done two years ago and my car has been running fine. They did recommend a new battery. I left there and got one?with the same warranty at Advance for $20 less.

Always great service from the folks at the car care center. Will and Michael are always great in making sure you fully understand what is needed. Very honest and never try to upsell nothing that would not be needed. The techs are great and my car is always serviced with respect. Clean shop and nice people mean good service. Will be my first stop for car repairs. the digital inspection report is great too. Prices are also reasonable for services provided.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

I needed a high-quality oil change and a thorough going-over of my older car before taking it on a long trip, as well as the follow-up service to get it ready to go. Everyone was kind and communicated everything with me clearly. It was easy to make the two service appointments I needed so that I could get all this done within my busy schedule and quickly. Nice convenient location off Sam Furr Rd. Place is clean and the representative was very nice and helpful. I set up an online appointment and they took my vehicle in promptly after checking it over and discussing what I wanted done. Oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Decided to get a coolant flush and a front end alignment after looking at the diagnostic. I would recommend this place!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Loyal customer but very disappointed. I took a recently bought used vehicle in for a diagnostic check. I told them about an issue with the emergency brake but forgot to tell them about an issue with the left turn signal. After allegedly running a $100+ diagnostic check, they told me to change almost all the fluids (standard money grab) in the car and said the emergency brake couldn't be fixed because parts are on back order. I asked how much the parts cost and was told they would let me know but never heard from them.Most interestingly, they said nothing about the left turn signal issue even though the issue was being displayed on the dash. How do you run a $100+ diagnostic check (which requires hooking up to the car s computer) and miss a code being actively indicated?I really hope they get the service and professionalism sorted at this location. It used to be a great shop.

Had my car inspected and oil change. You have changed the type of synthetic oil used, therefore it was more expensive. Have always received a 10.00 AAA member discount on my oil change. No longer the case, but was not informed that I have to present a mailed coupon for the discount. This I learned after going back to talk to the associate that did my initial service. He did give me a credit for future work, but it is disappointing to know that my membership, which I have had since 2008 is now worth less.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have all of the work on my Toyota Camry done at this location and have always been well pleased with the service and the prices.Today, I needed someone to replace the lower grill in my Camry and the service consultant, Michael, fixed the problem on his own. He did the job for free and gave me some good advice about my car, in the bargain.So, I enthusiastically recommend this location to anyone needing service.

Great service. The technicians do awesome work regardless of the type or age of your vehicle. You get a report showing issues that are found with pictures. A quote is given with all costs. Will is awesome. He goes over the quote and explains everything. You can count on the problem being correctly diagnosed and promptly and quickly fixed. AAA stands behind their work 100 percent. Fixed right at a fair price the first time. Highly recommend bringing any vehicle here for big or small issues
