Went to get my 22 yr old truck inspected ,my tires were close but needed two side signal lights replaced. Had it done in 30 min. and back on my way. Now to get my tag renewed. A 4 is good for me , very seldom give a 5. Do recommend. Thanks guys

Had an issue with a rental car leaking oil. Was in a bit of a panic because my family needed to get to the airport several hours away and I took it to Mavis in Holly Ridge and was glad I did!Not only did they correctly diagnose what was wrong but they fixed it for free! Basically, the car rental company had changed the oil and at least five of 8 quarts had already leaked out 1 day later.Leaving town today after a great vacation. Thanks to Mavis!

Shout out to Thomas, our new favorite person in the world, and can't forget Tim.There we were, my almost 16 year old daughter and I. Starting our road trip to Atlanta from Newport, NC for her sweet 16. We were in a borrowed wheelchair van, as my daughter has muscular dystrophy. Whelp, a fart brought us in today. You heard it right, a fart. I rolled the window down and next thing you know, it won't go back up. Not only did Tim get the part to fix it within the hour, but Thomas had it in and we were back on the road in no time. 10 out of 10 recommend these guys.Side note, if you have to fart, roll the window down half way, that's my recommendation.

This place is shady. A year ago I brought my bmw here with coolant issues, they said it was the expansion tank and water pump leaking, we replaced that, they send me home on my way, still overheating, they tow it don t charge me for the tow, say my belt went out too, okay they replace that, send me on my way, overheats 5 mins down the road needs towed again, they say the thermostat was bad too and the belt went bad again bc the pulley was also bad, so they charge me for a second belt, a new pulley andcharge me 60$ for the tow, send me on my way, I get home this time,a couple days go buy don t even drive it after replacing now the expansion tank, thermostat, two belts and a pulley, I get in it go about 10 mins down the road it s still running hot, I bring it to them and they say the head gasket is oroabaly blown , which they could be right, but they were just replacing everything they could before they fianlly bring this to my attention, they put head gasket sealant in it. And tell me to sell the car. Now this year I haven t been there in over a year, I sold that car bring my new gmc 2017 sierra in (new to me) in for an oil change, water pump GOES BAD IN MY TRUCK THE NEXT DAY IT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE they are SHADY I m telling you. Do not bring your vehicle here.

Came in due to a flat tire. They didn't have my tire in stock. Spoke with the mechanic servicing my vehicle and recommended another location. Appreciate the honesty

I recently had to get 4 new tires while in surf city for the week on vacation due to 95 carnage coming down from PA. I was worried about not having a car for a while since I don't run common sized tires on my car, but they ordered them in and had my car done and back on the road in less than 2 hours and for less than quoted

I've been going there for 12 years. Mechanics are knowledgeable, prices are reasonable. Last time I went for a repair I was accidentally overcharged but I DIDN'T REALIZE IT! When I got home there was a voice mail message letting me know about the overcharge, apologizing, and letting me know me the overcharge had been refunded to my credit card. I feel comfortable going to a place where honesty is a policy!

Amazing Honest and just a great vibe they helped me out and mounted all my tires and answered any and every question I had I couldn't be more pleased I live in Jville but I'll definitely drive 35min to come back because it's definitely worth it hands down

600 miles from home on vacation and losing air on a new tire! Ryan took a look at my tire and diagnosed the issue as a faulty tire stem. He had it replaced quickly and tire has been great ever since. Thank you Ryan and the pros @ Holly Ridge Tire Pros!!!

I called Subaru in Jacksonville while in your parking lot and they still had my part. I took the number, contact name to Tim so he could get it from them and they say HRA never called. Who to believe? And, if Tim saying to me "I don't have all day to look for a part for your car" is not bad customer service at an auto repair shop what does he do to other customers? And yes, I did curse, which I normally do not, but I was extremely frustrated. It doesn't matter now. I will never recommend your shop again and I have referred many people in the past.After being a loyal customer for at least 15 years I will never go back to this place due to one person, Tim. He is the rudest customer service person I have ever encountered. After being told they couldn't find the part I needed, I found it at Subaru parts in Jacksonville and put a hold on it. Long story short it was never ordered. The last time I spoke to Tim he screamed at me that he did not have all day to track down a part for my car! There was no tracking down to be done as I had already found it for them. I have always enjoyed the people who work there, customer service and technicians, but due to the way I was treated by Tim I will NEVER go back to Holly ridge Auto.

Have done business there for years when around Surf City. Today tire blew out less than a mile from them. They came to get me and fixed the tire.....awesome people. Highly recommend for everyone.

Love these guys! I went in for an inspection last week and my battery died before I could leave the lot and they were super helpful and got me a new battery right away. I have used them for oil changes, tire rotations, new tires and alignments for years. Hands down best service and prices.

Tires were priced right. The rest is average. Could have been a better rating if they didn't sh*t their pants in my truck and leave all windows up. I almost threw up driving home. Not classy, guys. Took my truck back for a broken lower swing arm and shock repair and I must say the mechanics are fast and top-notch. My truck was ready in 2 days...and no smell. 5 stars now!!!! Thanks guys.

Great local shop! Visiting my parents and did work on my Volvo while was home. The gentleman at the desk forgot to inform the alignment tech about my adjustable camber arms in the rear. They fixed it and gave me no trouble whatsoever. Full service shop, they do pretty much everything here.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They have, without a doubt, the best prices and customer service you'll find in at least a hundred-mile radius. I take my car here for EVERYTHING. They actively look for ways to help you save money, there are zero pushy up-sells, and they're all just genuinely nice and helpful folks. Oh, and they're FAST. Need an oil change? 20 minutes. Need an inspection? 20 minutes. Need tires on a super busy day? I think the longest I've EVER waited there was about 45 minutes. Comfortable lobby with plenty of snacks and drinks. Even if I could save $20-$30 elsewhere, and that's very rarely, I still choose to go here because the quality of service is consistent and dependable. I've lived in a lot of different places and I've never found a shop I loved this much.

Great service. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They ordered my tires at 10:00am and had them that evening. Had them installed at 7:45am they next morning. Highly recommend.

Went there on the 3rd of July to get an oil change. Got there before they opened and there were already 5 people ahead of me. They were super busy being it was the day before a holiday but they still got me in and out in less than 45 minutes! All of the service writers are super friendly and everyone there provides outstanding customer service! Will definitely continue to take my cars there!!

Dealing with the same thing everyone else is no help call outs but overall they were upfront about the wait which I didn't mind ar all. Others not so much people please be patient with these businesses they are struggling as well and your snide remarks as u walk out the door is uncalled for. Always been good to us.

My family and I (including our 2 young kids and dog) were leaving Surf City to head back home to Boone yesterday when our car broke down. After a recommendation from the police officer that helped push our car out of the road, we called Holly Ridge Tire Pros. 10:30 am on a Saturday when they close shop at noon and they arrived within just a few minutes to tow us back to the shop. They then drove to Jacksonville and then all the way to Wilmington to get the part that was needed and had us back on the road by 3 pm. WOW! Super impressed with their service and just general kindness. I can t recommend them enough. Fantastic service and great folks that own this place! I hope we don t need them again, but if I m ever in the area and having car trouble they will be my first call.

When we broke down we were not sure whom to call but saw the great reviews on this shop. We called and they worked us in right away. They hauled us in quickly assessed the problem quickly obtained the part and had us back on the road in about an hour. They were very nice treated us with respect and courteous efficient service! Highly recommended!

Very good business. They take care of all my vehicles to include services, maintenance and tires. Very quick when I have had mechanical problems and I was without a vehicle. Their towing is very reasonable priced. Their staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Will continue to have my business.

Unexpectedly broke down when we came down for a beach day. They picked us up within 35 minutes and worked us in. Luckily it was an easy fix and we were in and out of the shop in just over an hr with a friendly smile and reasonable price tag. Best part was, were still able to salvage the rest of our beach day! Highly recommend. A++

Friendly, efficient staff with competitive prices.I needed an oil change and new tires put on before a drive from NC to GA, so we called ahead requesting the service. They were honest with the expected wait time and despite being very busy upon arrival, the mechanics upheld their word over the phone and fit us in their schedule.I will certainly be going back if ever in need for auto service in this area in the future.
