We were stranded on I-85 with a totally blown tire... tow truck took hours and we were afraid we would be stranded for the night. Luckily, I called Mavis and we made it to them just before they closed. This was the most welcoming, professional, efficient group of professionals I've encountered in a long time- they earned my trust and respect. They got us back on the road in under an hour and with a smile. Thank you and kudos- we are so appreciative! :)

Incredibly good customer service. It s intimidating to go to any car place, but the staff is so helpful and kind. The manager has incredible integrity. I can t believe I m even reviewing a tire shop, but that s how good they are!

I noticed a slow leak in my tire on the way home from work today. I pulled into Mavis right at closing time. Carlos, the manager, was short-handed as most everyone had gone home for the day. He stayed late, took my car in himself, fixed the flat, and had me out the door in no time as the happiest of customers. It's rare to find this level of customer service these days. Hat's off to Carlos and the team at Mavis Tire. Well done!!!

This was my first time at Mavis and the worker named Mike at the desk was very nice and helpful to get me checked in and got my car looked at within a timely manner. He personally made sure my car was fine before returning the keys to me. This was a great experience.

Customer service when I initially contacted was great, I spoke to Joy, but once I got in, they charged me for a part and labor that they caused an issue with themselves and I had to foot the bill for their mistake. That's not very good service in my eyes. We will not be returning here even for the free rotations offered with the purchase of the tires. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I was given timely and great service. They discovered I needed two new tires and gave me discount. That was very helpful and nice on the budget. It took an extra 30 minutes, but they provided a nice place to sit and relax.I am definitely returning next time for my automotive maintenance needs.

This is my first time visiting this business today. I had nothing but a great experience! Both Brian and Carlos were super knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I had my breaks done and an oil change. They were quick and did a great job! I will definitely be back.

I went to get a alignment in my car. It is driving very straight now. Great customer service kept me updated on what I needed to be done on my vehicle. I will be back very soon. Highly recommend

This was really the best tire service I ve encountered thus far. Open on a sunday, I was a walk in and they still had my tire size and got me in and out in 5-7 mins. Brand new tire, rotation and balance, all for a lil over 100 bucks. 10/10 recommend will come back for all my tires on all my cars. Thank you.

Wow, this crew is so nice as well as professional. We picked up a construction blade in our tire, and Mavis was open the day after Thanksgiving when other nearby auto tire places were not. We pulled right in and they replaced our tire, no issue. They were so thoughtful and accommodating to my family even our dog.

I made an appointment online and took my car in for an oil change. It took over 1 hour to do the change despite there being plenty of staff. They also rotated the tires. They apparently did not notice that the tire pressure was 15 PSI in each tire rather than 30 PSI in the tires, which we figured out once I got home and realized how horribly the car was pulling, which it wasn't before. I figured since they are literally a tire shop, this would occur to them. Anyway, I brought my second car in for an oil change. After 1.5 hours they hadn't even started work on it, even though I had made an appointment in advance. I had to leave without an oil change. Anyway - I don't recommend. We've used Mavis for years, but we'll now take our cars elsewhere.

Horrible experience. Should have had a simple job with two tires. Even if I picked the wrong size tire when I made the appointment online. Still should have been an easy fix. But of the gentleman kept talking about me loudly when I was in there waiting room. Which is actually why the one star. He would not stop when I pointed out I was right in front of him. The other employee tried to help and was calm. But the employee would not stop talking about me in front of me. Craziest experience I have ever had. Sad.

We experienced several instances of both negligence and poor service. First, after an oil change, our engine protector was not properly secured which was a whole lot of fun do deal with on I-95! Second, we had 4 new tires installed .the tires weren t properly balanced and aligned which caused the ball bearings to wear out and now the tires are cupping. Talked with management, who said they d be in touch no words for them. Finally went into the store where the manager was defensive and condescending. We obviously will be moving on and never doing business with them in the future.

Arrived in Hillsborough 4 days ago with "low tire pressure" light on. The guys at Mavis were very helpful and knowledgeable. Got me back on the road quick and confident. Great service.

Do not take your car here!!!I visited in April. It was about time to put new shoes on my truck, so I took it here thinking "I need new tires and brakes, better take it to a place that specializes in tires and brakes." I got four new tires and two new front brakes. Five seconds after driving off the lot, my ABS and traction control warnings came on. After *four* more trips to this location, they finally diagnosed the problem as "untightened bearings" so they got underneath, tightened the bearings, and the warning lights turned off.About two months later, I began hearing a grinding noise from somewhere in my truck. It finally grew concerning enough that I took it into another shop (as I had since moved). Turns out, I need new bearings because the Hillsborough Mavis *over* tightened them. Another $600 thanks to this shop, not to mention all the wasted time trying them to correct the issue in the first place. The sheer incompetence is hard to grasp.

So kind and helpful! My tire pressure warning light had been on for several days, but when I tried to use one of those $2-fo-5-minutes gas station pumps I managed to let air out of my tires instead of in. I felt like an idiot. I confessed to the nice guy at Mavis and his polite young tech filled all my tires and ran a computer check on all the tire sensors. No charge! I am so grateful. Their facility is clean, bright and easy to get to. When the time comes for new treads, I will certainly try to give them my business.

Let me start by saying I have never had a problem with the customer service there and the serious work they have done on my car has always been spectacular, however my oil change today has to be shared so people can be aware. It's not the location, it's whoever sets their prices. I went in for an oil change, regular oil, not synthetic. 4.4 quarts of oil, they charged me $60 for regular oil!! I could have gone to the gas station across the street or to Walmart in the shopping center and bought oil for way less than 12 dollars a quart!! That is robbery! I know how expensive it is to get synthetic oil changes so I always take my own oil there for my truck. I recently had the oil changed in my truck at precision tune for the same cost of a regular oil change at Mavis!! They get over because there aren't really any other commercial auto shops near here besides Walmart. And now a dealership is going up across from them so I think that has something to do with the hike in price. I hate taking my car to Walmart but I'm going to have to start for oil changes. Be very wary before you get service done at Mavis because no one warned me of the price hike until the job was done. Usually they tell me how much beforehand. I'm a regular loyal customer at this location but now in addition to tires and tire changes, I have to add oil changes to my Walmart service. Ugh!

Stopped by on a late Friday afternoon asking about having my brakes checked. (Had previously had the brakes 'fixed' at another place a couple of weeks before and they were already going bad.) They couldn't do it that afternoon, but set an appointment that next Saturday at 8am. I got there at 8am Saturday and by 8:15am they had my car up on the rack and were showing me what needed to be fixed. By 10am I was driving away with my new brakes and a free tire rotation.The staff was polite, friendly and professional - the facility bright and clean. The price of the brakes I had to have put on was GREAT! ($100 less than the first place.) My car drives much better now than it did when I first drove it onto Mavis' parking lot! I would recommend Mavis to everyone!

Manager Will was great and all the employees that I spoke with were very friendly. I got a new set of tires at the lowest price compared to other local tire places. I was very impressed that they offered appointments and honored those appointment times. My tires and alignment were finished in less than an hour and they got started right at my appointment time. They also have free tire rotations for the life of the tire. Thanks Mavis!
