I called ahead of time to make sure they had an NC State inspection technician available to get my car inspected, I was told they could do the inspection. The previous day I was at a separate Valvoline location and waited an hour before they finally told me they couldn t get the extension pieces on their lift in order to inspect my car; so I also asked this current location if they re lift was fully operating and I was told yes. I arrived at 9 AM. There was one car in the parking lot and one car in the garage. I asked for an NC inspection and they said again no problem and there was only one car ahead of me. At 10:48 AM three other cars had been completed and my car hadn t been touched when I told him I had an appointment at noon and asked why there was a delay. They told me they had two callouts and only one person at work today who could do the top side inspection.Had I ve been told in advanced that there would be a delay it would be more understandable, however, after waiting over an hour and a half with no updates, and several other cars going through for various things, I was very frustrated and disappointed with the service. Ultimately I had to leave to make my 12 o clock appointment and couldn t stay for the inspection. My recommendation is when someone calls ahead of time and asks if an inspection can be done that they be given a heads up that there may be a delay due to lack of technicians that day if the information is not available at that time then when it is known that there will be a delay while I m there I expect to be updated so that I can plan accordingly.

This is my go to place for oil changes and inspections. They do a good job and they are not too pushy with the upselling they have to do. If your car needs something they will recommend it. If you decline they are cool about it. They remember me and greet me warmly every time. They are competent and do a good job. You can't always assume that about these places. Good manager too. I was in bay 2 this morning and the gentleman there provided great customer service. Bre, Debian and there was another guy that was very helpful and very informative about the service I was receiving. Great job guys, need more like you!!!!

The assistant manager was performing a safety inspection. She kept rolling my truck back and forth trying to get it on the lift. Long story short. My ABS light is now on. She denied that what she did could cause it. Kept mentioning their cameras. She lied that the vehicle was in neutral and ignition on when she was pushing it and messing with the tires. I know have to lose work and time to go to a mechanic. She was pretty skeptical that they would reimburse me. I am going to their corporate office and the BBB. I hate that after 23 years my guys sold to them. I gave them a try and they failed. Please go to BBB and read the complaints before going there.

I always come here to get oil changes and have been happy with the service I receive. Today my daughter went for her state inspection at this location. After waiting about 25 mins with no acknowledgement, they asked what she needed. Her license plate bulb was burned out, so for the whopping price of $15 they were going to replace it and do the inspection. The woman working there became irrationally angry trying to change the bulb. She said "I do not have time for this" and just walked away! Not a word was said to my daughter! Bulb not changed so no inspection! NO COMMUNICATION! What terrible customer service! Assuming because she is young, she just didn't care to act professional or let her know what was going on. I will NEVER come to this location again!

Literally the only place I go for my vehicles. The guys there are very knowledgeable. Never had a bad interaction with one. Quick, in and out. 10/10 would recommend.*Update: I consistently go back, and they consistently do a great job. They are really nice people, too. Never a dull moment while waiting for your automobile, which is never too long.

I know it's difficult to find workers for these locations. Person doing inspection on my car today was not properly trained. Valvoline charges premium price for oil change and service. I have been going to several of their locations for years. I won't be back. My guess is Valvoline will join the ranks of Kmart and Circuit City before long.

Came in for an oil change and these guys said I didn t need it. It s also across from work and not busy. In and out under twenty minutes. They let me know I needed new wipers and replaced them for me. Thanks so much! Will be back!

Great service delivery. Automatic transmission fluid, front and rear differential and transfer cases fluids!6 months ago I swore I would never come back to this location. But today fate drew us together when the other Valvoline location I visited did not have the pump needed to drain the transfer case.Thanks to the new management team: Robert, Jovie and Nat! Head and shoulders improvements with the new management team.

BEWARE!!! I went here and started noticing oil spots where I park. I took my car to another business and they informed me that whoever previously changed my oil had stripped the oil pan and plug. When I went back to this location, they blamed it on the most recent business and offered to drain the new oil and replace it .yes you read that right replace the oil!!!! It is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that we as customers can t trust a business to do their job which is their supposed specialty correctly. My situation was not made right and I will NEVER recommend this location or any other Valvoline!

The guys who did my oil change were great! What I was disappointed about was their "inspector" basically took his 15 minute break 40 minutes before they closed and kept me waiting for 30. After my oil change that is.� I was the only car there so a basic state inspection should have taken ten minutes. Having many state inspections over the course of my 25 years of driving, inspections do not take that long. Their inspector also stunk out my car with a grease smell and the driver's door, handle, console was a bit dirty.I was over charged for a cabin air filter as well. I will never be going back to Valvoline Sedgbrook Street by Dollar General.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Oil change

Worst experience took to get an inspection done and some lazy staff does not want to do it because of a reason that no else complained about. I have been taking my car here for the past two inspections and they never said the tint was too dark on the front windows.. its the way it is when I bought the car, it passed inspection for the past 5 yrs and now suddenly we have a tint problem what an excuse!!!!..Will not recommend this location to anyone

Went for an oil change because it was conveniently close to work. They said my tag lights were out and of course were snooping looking for something wrong for my car as usual. I asked them to change the tag lights and now my husband spotted them hanging out a week later.What's the point of notifying someone something is wrong with their car and paying to fix it if you don't know what you're doing????The point of paying for service is so I don't have to do it myself. But since I paid, they are going to fix this.I called when they opened and asked if they could contact the local Valvoline near me, so they would either believe me or so I won't get pulled over.The woman had a bad attitude saying "we're not sending anyone out to you, you'll just have to go to the Winston Salem location" If you listened, you'd know I didn't ask for that. Bad repair service, bad customer service, overall BAD. SERVICE. They can't fix their problems. I'll go elsewhere for business next time. If I was pulled over by the police, we would have had some serious issues. Very inconsiderate. I work at night and need to sleep in the day. Wasted money, gas, time and sleep because someone can't change a tag light correctly. AND risking getting pulled over.Winston location is 18+ minutes away from my house and back. What took them three seconds to fix was a 40 minute drive in total. All because this establishment didn't know what they were doing. After I spoke with this location's receptionist and called the Winston location, and made this review- the manager of this location reached back out to me. He apologized and offered to courtesy call Winston which I told him I already asked for someone to do that and was told no. He offered to come to my home and fix it, to which I never asked for but was originally told no. This receptionist was speaking to the manager as he was speaking to me; why he changed his mind to call and offer everything that was denied, I dont know.No interpersonal communication skills from their staff, even though the manager was nice and willing to fix it- initially no one cared.It was 1 mile from my job but next time I'll go to Take 5 oil change if I'm going to spend the same amount of gas or more.

This was my first time getting an instant oil change anywhere. I was actually recommended this location specifically by my company's CEO. It lived up to my expectations. Really great crew, quick, friendly service. Fun atmosphere. It went by fast. Highly recommend this location!

The staff (managers and employees) working here are very unprofessional. I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change, an employee broke my oil filter seal which caused a severe oil leak. After taking my vehicle to my real mechanic for a repair, I returned to this Valvoline to receive reimbursement pay for the damages, they refused me. They even tried to sell me a transmission fluid flush, they were going to charge me over $200 to do it! imagine the damage they would have caused... I will never be returning to this store.Service: Oil change

I would recommend this location to everyone. We were in need of an inspection on a special vehicle. I first made a phone call explaining my situation and that we needed a location that was not too far from where the vehicle was being stored.I had never used this facility before. I spoke with Cody and he was most helpful in explaining everything. He was professional, considerate of our needs and was able to meet them all. We arrived on the date we discussed and, although I didn't get the names of the other workers there, everyone was equally as respectful. I watched them work, as they worked together as a team in all three stalls. They had just enough employees to get the inspection done in a very timely manner. Even those that were waiting had a short wait because Valvoline was smart enough to hire the right number of staff to provide no hassle, professional and knowledgeable service. The place was clean and I highly recommend that if you're in need of an inspection or other services they offer at this Valvoline location, make the trip to this location...they are top notch. Thank you Cody and to all the team.

My experience here was just OK. They were friendly, but there were few things that didn't go well. When I pulled up they were busy and so I finally had to get out of my car and ask them what to do. Also, at the time it took about 1.5 hours (I have waited this long at other places so maybe that isn't too bad). Finally, for an oil change it cost a little more than $71. I was surprised by the cost. I did get high mileage oil, but I did not get any other services and did not replace any additional filters or wipers.

The people working there are awesome! It was a quick and easy oil change and they were honest about whether or not I should change my filter. Valvoline is one of the more expensive oil changes, but you don't need an appointment and you can stay in your car, so you're paying for convenience. I'll definitely go back cuz 15 minutes sounds much better than an hour.
