Had my SUV towed there to be fixed. First time trying this shop out. My speaker box/speakers were stolen out the back but the crazy thing is no glass was broken and the car was locked. There was only one key to the car and the shop had it. Someone also went thru my glove department box. When it was dropped off it was locked. Very disappointed! I want ever go back here again. Beware about going here. I was quoted $3300. After speaking with a different mechanic they told me around 2k. It's a father and son shop. My speakers didn't magically get up and walk away. I was left with only the amp and battery. It's real crazy how it's missing but the car was locked and there was only one key which was in the hands of the shop. Before and after picture below

I have came here for my exhaust twice. Both times were with my S550 Mustangs. They always know how to take care of their customers with absolutely amazing prices! Also highly recommend working with Mason. He is amazing and I will definitely be coming back!!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Made appointment, went, they got right on it, it was done well and they charged less then they estimated over the phone, $30 less! Thanks Masson and crew!

They did a resonator delete and added a muffler I brought in for 145$ and finished within 20 minutes. They did everything correctly and exactly how I wanted it. 10/10 service, I definitely recommendService: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Hands down this place has the best customer service and best value that I found so far in Hickory! They were able to diagnosed things on my Chevy 2017 3500 diesel and 2012 Hyundai that not even the dealerships were able to fix. I would highly recommend Merican Muffler and Pit crew (next door) they also do vehicle inspections for Uber I had one done on the Hyundai.. Uber recommended me driving all the way to Charlotte or Asheville for an inspection I'm glad I didn't and looked around.

Got me in and out quickly and I paid a lot less than I thought I was going to. Professional staff and quality work. Had a magnaflow muffler installed...truck sounds great! Definitely recommend these guys!

MY friend came to this shop and had work done on his truck. He explained on how he would make payment arrangements for the work done. The owner at the shop was very rude and kept changing the story up on him saying he didn't explain anything at all. My friend told the owner how he was planning to pay and the guy just kept on saying different things and twisting everything up. He also threatened to go to the dmv and get a tittle change on his truck. I would never recommend going to this shop he does not know how to run a business and is not customer service friendly. Stay away if possible.

The folks here were great. They fit me in on short notice (very appreciated) and then fixed my muffler in less than 30 minutes. It was a great experience.

The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because of the lack of professionalism. They got my truck in the shop and got the parts installed in no time. They worked quickly and accurately. However the employees argued and cursed at each other not only in front of the customers, but in front of their own manager! Even the manager was short and blunt with everything he said and showed no emotion or appreciation for my business.

These guys are great, they fixed several different things on my car for me for a very reasonable price and had it finished by the time they estimated it to be. I will always take my car to these guys! Totally recommend this place for vehicle repairs!!

Went there a few months ago looking for a part for my muffler and the place was pretty much empty with a car on lift. Went in and this guy asked me if I had an appointment (like they were slammed with customers). I said 'no'. So he told me I needed to make an appointment (I guess he assumed I was getting a muffler service or something without him even asking what kind of help I needed). So I told him I don't need my muffler done or anything like that, I'm just looking for a part. At this this point, I've lost interest in the part that I was looking for since this guy was pretty much rude and seemed like I was bothering him. He told me to wait for this other guy who had gone to lunch. As I waited, he was just walking around not really doing anything productive, so I left.This place is a joke now. It was ok back in the early 2000's but now it's not a muffler shop to go now cause it seems like they want an appointment for some reason. Sometimes, just because a place is close doesn't mean that it's good. I just happened to be in the area and was looking for that part. I will be driving 20 miles to a place in Morganton where they really want to help me like always.

In 2017, Merican Muffler replaced both catalytic converters and muffler on our SUV. A little more than a year later, I started hearing a "pat pat pat" coming from the hood, and took it to another muffler shop that was closer to home (I live in Lenoir). They told me that it sounded like it was coming from the attachment at the engine, and they recommended I take it back to Merican Muffler to evaluate. When I did, Gene's crew looked at it, and verified that it was indeed a poor connection, probably a failed gasket. Despite being past the 1 year warranty, Gene fixed this for us on our schedule and didn't charge us for it.It's how people handle situations like this that make good business, and I definitely appreciate Gene's efforts to go above and beyond, even though he didn't need to. When people handle situations like this with humility and a willingness to help, it makes it easy to trust them to fix my vehicles.Jason

Had a small exaust leak and evidently it was just a loose clamp. They fixed it in a few minutes and I was on my way. They didn't even charge me and I really appreciate them for helping me out. Thank You!!!
