Today will be the third time Cory and his crew of amazing mechanics have helped us beyond words! They replaced our motor on our car they were all very knowledgeable and kept us in the loop every step of the way Yesterday I ended up breaking down on the way home from Charlotte. The towing company towed me to Gateway and they looked at it today.. being short staffed and all, Cory ( the office manager ) took it upon himself to try to diagnose the issue he called immediately with the issue (s) he found, told me what all he did to fix it and gave me a price. Would recommend them hands down. Thank you for all you do for us and your continued assistance with our vehicle and its repairs! 10 out of 10

10/10 recommend Gateway! I recently had my car towed to them, and they had it back to me very quickly! Very friendly and professional staff members as well. They were extremely honest and fair in pricing as well. Thank you Gateway for getting me back on the road in my ride.

Theses guys were very helpful and efficient in fixing my Taurus SHO They dealt with the warranty company and were evenly priced on other repairs. Thank you to Cory for always answering all my questions & being patient with me & the guys at Gateway for taking of my baby.

The guys at gateway get straight to the point and fix what need to be fixed. They welded my exhaust pipe to get me out of a ticket, did more than I asked and still only charged me the minimum for one weld. Steve is the owner of the shop. I've known him for years and he will always be there for you when you need him. They are the best shop I know of!!!!

My car has been here for 3 weeks now and they have not even touched it or gotten started on it. I had to $250 to have a tow truck bring it there for it to sit in the same exact position for 3 weeks.all three of those weeks I have called once a week to get a progress report and they told me "we'll get to it tomorrow sorry we're busy ".tomorrow is 24 hours. not 3 weeks. I'm going to have go up there tomorrow and pay another service charge to have my truck towed to a mechanic that will actually work on my truck. any three of those tiomes that I've called up there they could have told me it would have been a month for they got to my car and I would have gladly taken it somewhere else instead of wasting my time and money thanks for nothing. Now I'm going to be out of $500. An nothing is even fixed.$500!!!!!

Great group of workers. They where able to get my truck taken care of in 1 day and half. They called and gave me the run down of what was wrong before they just did it. Would highly recommend. Definitely going back!

Had timing chain, front brakes, rotors and left wheel bearing replaced on my 2011 Camry. Took a couple of days to get it in but once parts were ordered repairs were done quickly. Great service and price was what I had estimated.Services: Engine repair, BrakesServices: Engine repair, Brakes

Excellent Service!!! I had to have the transmission replaced, which I purchased from O'reillys, and the one came in was faulty. Gateway did put it in correctly, just the new transmission broke after 5 months. I called the warranty company, Gateway went above and beyond, had the new one in , 1 day after it arrived , topped out my fluids, and the car is running great. My brother had used him as well, top grade mechanics and nice people to work with, thank you again.Service: Transmission

This place was shady from the first day my car was in the shop , they charged me 3 times the agreed amount and forced me to pay it or they would keep my car . I wouldn t recommend anyone going there and the work was not even done .Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

My son took his jeep to get looked at. It kept cutting off on him. It sat in their parking lot for a month before they even looked at it. Then when they finally did, they done things to it that they wasn't even told to do. My son went and picked it up cause they acted like they couldn't find a problem with it. When he went and picked it up they had cut some wires to his computer that wasn't supposed to been cut. It would not even crank when he got there. So they had to jump it off. The jeep is still doing the same thing it was doing in the first place.

I was charged a processing fee when I paid a repair bill over the phone with a credit card. I was never told this fee would be charged. I called to inquire, the individual informed me it was a processing fee for paying with a credit card. I told him nobody told me upfront, or I would have paid cash. After a very short conversation he said it was not his problem and hung up on me. I can only imagine what kind of repair standards they have that are also not their problem. Very concerned about the quality of the repair, if their standard business practice is to conceal charges. I will never do business with these people and I would suggest you stay away also.

I took my 2007 Saturn Outlook for a power steering pump put on they did it within days an the repair work was very reasonable an I was greatly impressed. So now I have a 2011 GMC Acadia Denali an they have had it for about 3 days an called to tell me what they found out was wrong the Computer needs replaced an programed plus the switch with the labor for it at 545.00 which sounds awesome to me.Im on disability an pray they will work with me.

The best, honest and affordable shop in Hickory. Love the way they follow up on all repairs and will not charge you and arm and a leg to get the job done. At this place you will find honest and hard working people. Thank you guys

I took my car to get fixed up there and they can t even fix it the first time the same thing messed up the second time so I took it back to get it fixed we thought it was fixed but I guess not. so I took it to somewhere else and they told me that there was water in my coolant when it should have antifreeze that made my thermostat go out I will never go here again. If The check engine light wouldn t have came on we would have never knew!

Didn't fix a damn thing. My car sat there for 3 days and they swore the check engine light wasn't on. I picked my car up next day the check engine light came on. I firmly believe they just reset the codes.

I wish there was a button for a 0 status my van went in for a oil pan gasket and came back to me with a loud noise when I have it in drive and it didn't make this noise til I got it back from then ill never do business with them ever again shady people I will be reporting them as well
