Very attentive and great customer service. I was only here for a free rotation on tires I bought there, but they got it in and taken care of quickly and sent me on my way.Bought a new set of tires for my aftermarket wheels I picked up. If you're looking for a food A/T tire, I suggest the Toyo Open Country. I have a set on both sets of wheels now.

Visited 2/23/24. Got 4 new tires installed, and a new rear wiper. Appointment was for 4pm, and I was out of the door by about 4:45. Very happy with the time & quality of service. They also cleaned my wheels which was unexpected but nice! I ve had great experiences at every Discount tire I ve ever visited!

These guys are awesome! I got a flat tire coming through town with my sick toddler and dog and they were so kind and we re waiting for me at the door when I arrived. They got me in and out within 15 minutes and were so empathetic. Much appreciated guys

My brother always praised about how well Discount Tire is so I went to the shop looking to get 2 tires since mine was flat no matter how much I fill it with air. I told the staff who handled my situation that it was for the front and it should be this size. He was nice to check me in quickly and finish the check out process but 2 wheels came to be over $400. It didn't sound right so I called my brother and he told me the guy basically took advantage and sold me expensive tires when I didn't need it. Luckily my brother told me to ask the man about the size and sure enough, it was wrong. Didn't listen to a word I said. We redid the check out and found tires for a little over $200. I understand you have to make sales but don't cheat customers when you can tell they know nothing about cars. He wasn't happy though after we switched the tires out. First and last time I'm going here.

Had a very disapointing day at Discount Tire. I've been buying tires with this company for 20 years, both in Minnesota and North Carolina.Today I had a 1:15pm appointment scheduled for a new set of tires, I was told that there were 6 tires in stock when I scheduled this. I arrived ten minutes early, checked in and paid. I was told 45min to 1 hour. At 2:pm I was informed that they only had three tires, so after waiting for close to an hour they finally pull the vehicle in and discover they can't do the work. I was refunded my payment and they did apologize, which I felt was sincere. I am very disapointed though seeing as I took an afternoon off from work and to be blunt, a 1:15 appointment does not start at 2pm. Will not be back, the local Dodge dealership has offered to beat your price and I was guarenteed to have tires waiting when I get there.

Employees not very friendly. I can understand that they would rather be somewhere other than work but they didn't have to show it. Guess it's just young people these days. Won't do anymore business there. Need to be friendlier to the customer because they are not the only tire store in town. Like I said, won't go back.

I'm a delivery driver so I need my tires to be safe. Today I noticed a huge chunk of metal wedged into my tire. I definitely wasn't planning in my budget to replace my tire today and the one currently wasn't repairable. After talking with Danny, all is great and I could not be more happier.Plus I was in and out under an hour and under quoted cost.Thank you Discount Tires in Hickory!Update July 5th, 2023I won't go into great detail.I will say Austin and Discount Tires went far beyond what great customer service is. They prevented what could have been a very dangerous and even fatal accident from happening. They didn't have to. They didn't do something because it was their job to. They did it because they genuinely want people to be safe on the roads.Thank you.

Do not buy anything from Discount tire. Needed 2 tire pressure sensors installed. Brought them the wheels and the sensors. Told me 2 hour wait????? Left tires there. Came back 2 hours later. Tires still sitting in same spot. Waited 10 minutes in line only to be told that they hadn't started yet and they could do it ,10 minutes. This is a 5 minute job. Will never go back or recommend this business to anyone. Go to Mr Tire.

I visited this location on 12/27/23 around 3pm looking to purchase two tires. I spoke with a gentleman I m guessing who was the manager on duty in which gave me a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. I showed him a couple of tires that are online and he didn t even check to see if they were in stock and just told me he didn t have any and was trying to offer more expensive ones. I asked if they had any used tires in my size and he looked at me and said No, it s hard to get any used tires because people like you wear them down until there is nothing . I felt discriminated because of my appearance, targeted, belittled, and also like my money didn t matter. The younger gentleman was willing and trying to help but was intervened. Overall I felt like the situation was racist and not a good place to shop for minorities.

I've been with Discount Tire for about 8 years over 5 different vehicles.Great service all around with a clean and spacious waiting lobby. Prices are about the same as anywhere else in the area, which is to say tires can be expensive if you want good quality. It does include lifetime rotations, balance and flat repair due to nails but pretty sure most places include it now if you buy new tires.Giving 4 stars instead of 5 simply due to wait times. They're typically very busy so if you don't have an appointment, plan to stay at least an hour or likely longer, even if you show up first thing in the morning. My last experience I was in the lobby 10 minutes after they opened at 8 and I'm writing this review at 9:25 still waiting as they just pulled my car into the bay. I was told under an hour but I understand things happen. Bring a book and some coffee or go for a walk at Lowes.Update to add: in my car at 9:35 (walked in at 8:10). As I was driving home, low tire inflation indicator came on. Checked them at the house and they were all under-inflated at 28. Instead of going back and waiting I just took care of it myself.

Austin is the man! I took my Lamborghini here for a new set of tires (pilot sport 4S) and he was beyond professional. He took great care not to damage anything. He even cleaned the wheels, applied tire shine, and installed black weights so they wouldn't be as visible as the old silver weights. Wow. Thank you, Austin!If you have an exotic or any other specialty vehicle, go to Discount Tire and ask for Austin. Can't recommend him enough.

I was early for my appointment they did great worked me in with minimal wait. Quickly and accurately installed my tires. On the way home it rode and drove great. Awesome job on balancing the tires highly recommend great price for BFG KO2s

Shaun is awesome at the Hickory, NC Discount Tire location. They took care of me and treated me like family. I ve never ever had a problem with any of the Discount Tire locations. Trust me. I ve tried a bunch in my 40+ years of owning vehicles. Discount Tire is the only place I ll go to.

It was ok, pretty cool down to earth guy who handled the phone call that proceeded the actual transaction / work at the store. I give him 5 stars. I could complain about the price of rubber, but that wouldn't get us anywhere lol. Ima give them 5 stars. Had to wait an hour but they were busy and there are alot of places nearby walking distance to just browse and burn time.

There was a wait but the place was extremely busy. The reason for this is the service is great at a good price. Once my vehicle was in it was ready very quickly and correctly.

This location is great. The prices tend to be higher than your small tire shop/mom&pop shops, but you get free tire rotation and tire repair when you buy through them. I believe that this makes their prices a fair value.I came in with 50mins till closing with 2 vehicles needing tires, and they were able to accommodate me. These guys here definitely work hard and take care of the tires and wheels when installing them whether oem or aftermarket. I was definitely impressed by their service.

Employees are very professional and provide excellent service. There was a miscommunication and it was resolved swiftly. As someone who had cars as their main hobby for over a decade I will say I have never had this level of professionalism at any competitor. My husband being new to the area now prefers this location as he felt the experience has always been reassuring and pleasant each time he has visited and doesn t want to go elsewhere for this reason. Highly recommend.

Its not the same anymore they literally broke all my center caps tabs.. and one they told me 1/15/24.. haven t heard from them about replacement yet.. they need a hook to take them off ehh.. people that work there seem unhappy and take their anger out on our cars..

Great customer service from Danny he really knows how to take care of customers and build customer loyalty! I would definitely recommend the Hickory team! Ask for Danny he'll take good care of you! I usually run factory 235s on my 2018 dually but went up a size to the 245s they fit great thanks again!

DON'T PATRON IT IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR. I was a return customer, had no issues my first visit years back. This time my hubcap had a chunk taken out of it, admittedly damage that appeared to come from a socket wrench according to Danny Escobar (whom I assume is a shift manager) and a huge scratch over my wheel well that was not there when I brought it in. He looked me in my eyes and told me he'd "made it his mission to make it right" and would file the claim under their insurance, then when I left he turned around and filed it "disputed" saying they didn't do the damage. So he lied to me and wasted my time after they damaged my car, then lied to the insurance company. Thanks Danny! Stand up guy. I get it's hard to find good help but there are a bunch of incompetent careless kids running that garage. It was a simple tire change and they did NOTICEABLE damage. The level of dishonesty is ridiculous. I hope if you're considering one of these "fast tire change" places you'll reconsider. Otherwise, You'll be left to fix the damages they make to your car. Steer Clear.

5 stars! Found a screw in our tire today after seeing low tire pressure. Everyone at this Hickory location was great! We appreciate you all fixing this for us, so we can be back out on this beautiful day! Tysm!

Went today for tire rotation. Was told the tires they sold me with only 15k miles were unsafe. Wanted to sell me more tires instead of doing the rotation. Thanks for nothing.

We needed camper tires and called every place working 50 miles! Its was a Saturday and it was Christmas Eve. Discount took care of us and even had a spare! Took 45 min in and out! Thank you!

BEFORE YOU GO READ THIS!!!!You can t leave a second review, but these guys deserve more than that. I have been going to the Hickory location for 10 years now. Today was another example of how good these guys are. They are knowledgeable, have excellent customer skills, and always do an excellent job. Go see Shaun, he will make you experience there perfect.The guys here do an incredible job. My review isn t based on my experience, it was flawless, but more on the way the other customers were treated and the service they got. These guys will take care of you. They go the extra and knowledgeable about wheels and tires.

Danny is always fantastic !! The whole crew is helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciate their patience as the explain the situation on each of the 4 vehicles I rotate when I bring them in.
