LOVED PEP BOYS! They were honest with me about what needed to be done to my car. Tuffys told me I needed my brakes changed within the next month because they were so run down and tried to charge me $1000. Pep boys told me my brakes were perfectly fine and were no where needing to be replaced. I will be coming back here!

This is only a review of the Harrisburg,NC location. The customer service is not the best unless your purchasing the extras they strongly suggest. Everytime I've been here something more is needed other than what I ask to be done. Their tires are reasonably cheaper than others but that's the only service to get. Also they don't honor time slots that have been reserved or at least they won't get to your car for a couple of hours.

I came in 45 minutes before their closing time this past Wednesday night because there was a screw in my tire. It couldn t be patched (sidewall was punctured). I got a new tire for a reasonable price. I also got an oil change and a NC state inspection done. I told them I could come back for the oil change and inspection, since it was so close to closing time, but they said it wouldn t take that long. I was paid up and out the door by 5 minutes after closing time.

They started my oil change within 10 mins of my appointment time. Guys were nice. They topped off my fluids and rotated my tires as well. I wasn't even there for a full hour. They work fast yet thorough.

I went to this place like last week to get brake pads and they did a random inspection and he said I needed like a lot of stuff with one of them being rotors.. I went somewhere else to get the tire and was going to go back this Sunday for all the other things but luckily I came across a very trusting mechanic that told me that I do not need rotors and I was ready to dish out around $400-$600 on everything I needed to fix, then be broke for my son's birthday this February.. Be very careful where you take your car, find a small town mechanic don't go to these big businesses like this they just want money. I have found myself a new trusting better mechanic that isn't out to screw me over.

They did a quick alignment on my vehicle with the wrong car selected. He didn't give me the print out afterwards. When I asked for it, it was laying on the desk and still showed it was out of alignment. So he took it back in and keyed in the right vehicle and did the regular alignment. Once done, it still showed 2 of the wheels in the red. He said that was the best he could do but it would not make that big a difference.

Staff is always helpful and do not try to up sell you. They give you an honest diagnosis on your problem and take care of it. They are always busy so it may take a minute, but they get the job done.

Discovered after I left that they overcharged us by about $300. At the time we had no choice but to have them do the work. They got us this time. Never again. They re predatory.

We have used Pepboys for most all the services done to our cars and they have done a good job most of the time. It was time for me to get new tires installed on my car, so I decided to buy them and get them installed by Pepboys in Harrisburg. The tires, balance, and alignment of the service seems to be good so far. However, whoever installed the tires was careless when installing them and must have had their hands drenched in oil and grease. There was grease on my door handles, inside and out, grease on the steering wheel, the dash, and the seat. There were also marks around the wheel wells from the tires or rims, I m not sure, and luckily it didn t scratch the paint noticeably. I don t expect any mechanic to leave a vehicle cleaner than when they arrived, but I would expect them to keep the vehicle the same as it arrived.

I had a great experience here. I have a '99 tacoma and they figured out what was wrong and handled it as quickly as possible, and made me comfortable along the way. I will be going back!

I had a screw in my tire causing a slow leak which needed to be repaired. I made an appointment online which was easy enough. I arrived dropped off the vehicle and waited inside. We were never given an estimated time to wait. We understand it was busy. After waiting almost two hours to repair the flat tire I was told the vehicle was ready. I was told the tire did not have a leak. I had to go back out to my vehicle and show them there was a screw in the tire that needed to be removed and patched. They then pulled the vehicle back inside and we waited almost an additional thirty minutes for them to complete the repair. It was a frustrating time from start to end. I will not be returning to this location again.

Just that if there is an appointment time slotted for 8am and the store doesn t open at 8 am then why have that as an appointment time. When it is time for an appointment and I am the first appointment I expect to have my car worked on at the appointed time. I went back to the shop 25 minutes after 8 and my car was still not being worked on, it was still outside where it was originally parked, and the store seemed to be still opening up with the associate dragging the tire display outside. If the shop opens at 8 whomever is the opening person should not open the store at 8. Opening duties should be done 30-60 minutes prior. I was also not happy with the fact that it say s complimentary inspection but yet I was still charged a fee for this if there is a fee it is not complimentary.

I LOVE PEP BOYS HARRISBURG ON RUCKUS ROAD!!! It had a small shop feel but still carries the Pep Boys name. Mark is the manager and will ALWAYS take care of you. They never over quote you and treat you like you re family. I refuse to go elsewhere!!

Original appointment was made a week prior, but was contacted to reschedule because they were for whatever reason unable to do the vehicle inspection at that time. Went to appointment and was told vehicle didn't pass inspection because axles were "broken" and would cost several hundred dollars to replace. Then was told when pressed that vehicle could still pass with broken axles but tires did not pass. The tires are in very good shape and have plenty of tread left, so that was simply not true. Took to another shop and vehicle passed with no problem.

Amazing staff working here. Some of these people complaining on here are just ridiculous. "Whoever's opens the store shouldn't open and opening duties should be done 30-60 minutes early" or " rudely said I'm the only one here and can't do everything and Tina was behind the register playing with a dog" y'all need to understand these guys are there every day to take care of your vehicles because you can't do it yourself. Give them a break and be happy that they try their hardest to accommodate to everyone no matter the staffing, time, or overwhelming online appointments that roll in through the day. I am glad these guys are here to take care of my vehicles. #myonlyshop #thebestofthebest

Being able to show up without an appointment and have my car serviced within a hour or slightly longer has a lot to do with the five star rating. This was my first visit to this particular location. The place was in a convenient area for me because I was in the area. They made it easy to have my tire replaced and I was thankful it didn t require a long wait or an appointment!

I been going to this pep boys for several years...I made an appointment online as I normally do,appointment was a week out. Never received a call or text saying work could not be done or we need to reschedule...so now it's appointment day,I drive about 10/15 minutes to get to appointment and get there about 10 minutes before scheduled appointment...so I check in and say I have an appointment regarding my car,then the guy,I can't think of his name right now but everytime I go in there and he is there he seems to have a negative attitude...anyway he is like I can't do that and then procedes very rudely with voice raised to say I'm the only one working and we are short staffed and i cant do everything...I mentioned that this appointment was made a week ago and a courtesy call would have been nice if you can't do a service...Tina was standing behind cash register playing with a dog..needless to say staff was very unprofessional with bad customer service...I'm a military wife and first responder and nobody should be treated rudely

These guys have no regard for the customers time. No urgency whatsoever. I've been here for 2.5 hours and they just finished putting on 4 tires and now they expect me to wait longer to get the alignment done. Shame on me for not taking the advice of others that left same reviews. Stay away if you don't have a whole morning or afternoon to waste.

Pep Boys in Harrisburg is always so helpful. Quick service and they do it right. They have been so helpful especially when I was out of town and my teenager needed a tire repaired. I don't go anywhere else.

I scheduled an appt at 9:30 for an alignment. I arrived at 9am to drop my car off. I was informed I would get a text when my car was ready and I told them I would come back when I get off at 2pm. I was told my car would be ready way before then. At 2:30 I arrived and my car had not been touched and I was told it was next but it would take another hour. I had to cancel my appointment which inconvenience me because i couldn t wait any longer. What is the point of an appointment if you re not going to stay In order.
