Hello, I am just writing this review to warn potential customers about how unsatisfied I was with my recent visit. I took my Infiniti to this shop to get a new water pump because my car was leaking coolent and this is what they said was wrong. When I went to pick it up I found out they broke my window switch. When confronting them about this issue they acted like it wasn't their fault. After hearing this I took it to Greenville Nissan because this shop didn't know how to fix the problem they caused. After taking my car to Greenville Nissan they told me that what they broke was the window switch and it costs over a $1000 to replace because my car is a convertible. After hearing that I could clearly see that this is why the shop could did not want to fix their mistake because of how expensive it was. But wait it only gets better. After Nissan told me about the window switch they also said my coolent was still leaking which is why I went to University Auto Care in the first place. After hearing this I was extremely upset and went back to university auto care and asked them to check it for me. So they "looked" at it and they said it was fine and that Nissan was lying. They also said it was ok for me to drive back to college in Boone, NC which is 4 and a half hours away. After hearing this I left for Boone and once I got into town and checked my coolent it was empty. This was so so so unprofessional and upsetting. The owner to the shop told me to my face that it was not leaking before I left and clearly that was a complete lie. After having Friendship Nissan of Boone look at it they did confirm it was a coolent leak and it is going to cost $600 for new hoses and diagnostics. I truly am astonished at how badly they screwed me and my family over. Like I said I am a college student and I work for a restaurant that pays cheap. All of these unnecessary diagnoses and repairs for things I didn't break are going to force me to have to work overtime while being a full time student. I truly hope the owner knows how badly he has ruined my year and that I will never ever ever go to that shop again.

As an ECU student over 4 hours away from home, I highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicles here! They are honest in their work and did not try to rip me off & had my car back to me in hours with a full and honest analysis, along with recommendations! The price was very fair as well!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I called in a panic when my car shut off on me and these guys picked up the phone, told me I could leave my car with them and had it repaired the next day. He texted me updates which I really appreciated so I didn t have to constantly leave class or work to respond. The price of a New alternator sucks in general, but the one he used comes with a life time warranty and I can appreciate that since I ve had to deal with janky alternators in the past. I generally just appreciated the kindness, professionalism, and great work ethic i observed using these guys. They are busy! And they do their very best.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I truly appreciate this service center. My son is in college there and I am over a 1000 miles away. This shop has taken care of my sons car on numerous occasions while he has been away in school. Each time they have been more than professional and fair with their prices. I am thankful he can count on these guys to get him going again. Definitely a trust worthy shop. I see there are a few other reviews that aren't positive and all I can say about that is there had to be other circumstances involved or maybe someone has gotten their information wrong. I know its impossible to please every customer but these guys have never failed to satisfy me over the past 3 years. So great job. I strongly recommend them.

My daughter goes to ECU and we are 5 hours away. It's hard to find a place that won't take advantage of an unknowing college student. This place was everything you need for a student away from home. They were quick, up front with pricing (which was very reasonable), and trustworthy. Will use this garage from now on if my daughter needs a mechanic while away from home. If you're a parent worried about your kid and car repairs, call this place! Jackie and his son Austin are great!!

The fact that this auto repair shop has any less than 5 stars is ridiculous. I took my car to them over the 6 years I lived in Greenville and have nothing but great things to say about them. They are always professional and quick to answer the phone. I had a squeak in the steering wheel of my older car for the longest time. I took my car in for other services and they fixed the squeak for free.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

Our car battery wouldn't start and they were able to drive out to where we were located and bring our car in to their shop themselves. They kept us informed the whole time about what was going on and what repairs were needed- they even fixed a rattling noise that our car has had for months. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, highly recommended.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

After going to the Toyota dealership to have my car repaired, and receiving a $2,000 estimate, I called Austin to get a second opinion.Austin resolved my issue at a cost of less than $100. I dound him to be extremely helpful and honest. He provided the service i need at a very fair price.

I've been here a few times and have had a great experience every time. The first time I had an A/C issue that is annoying but not a major issue. I was told they'd try to fix it if I wanted, but that it was something they might not be able to fix any better than I could and that it could get unnecessarily expensive quick. Very few mechanics would have been that honest, and I've kept going back for everything else since.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

I use Jackie and his team for all of the towing for my business at Honda. Not only is Jackie an exceptional person, he is my friend. I know I can depend on him and if I need anything at all, he is always there. Best towing service in town.

I wish I could rate this shop 0 stars. This incident happened around a year ago now. I paid for parking at the parking deck in downtown Greenville and had an assigned spot. Apparently another customer in the parking deck THOUGHT I was in his spot so he directly called this towing company to have me towed. University Auto proceeded to tow my car without attempting to contact me, without verifying who owned the spot, and without first calling the city. After 2 hours of the city apologizing for the incident and trying to track down my car, I walked my way to University Auto in order to get my car. I did not have to pay (obviously, it was their fault) but the manager was then extremely rude. I asked why the situation happened politely in order to make sure it shouldn't happen again and was told "there's no failsafes in life, what can I tell you here's your keys." They were beyond rude and even proceeded to yell at me like it was somehow my fault?I wouldn't trust them with my car, they're criminals, rude, and should be put out of business.

I can only speak for experience I had with the single person that I talked to over the phone, but me and my landlord had one hell of a time trying to get him to cooperate. My experience of the services from University Auto Care led me to believe that they are incompetent, unprofessional, and lazy. Had to call over 5 times to get them to come get a car out of the street at my apartment complex. They made empty promises and drove over to the location several times and then left without towing the car. Then they made no effort to communicate with anyone as to why they didn't perform the task they agreed to over the phone. I had to call back every time and ask them why they didn't tow it. They said the car was fine and they didn't see any reason to tow it. After about 2 weeks of these kinds of interactions, they finally towed the damn car. During that time they had information about where the vehicle was located, the license plate, and a clear description of the make/model. Even with this information they still deemed it "unnecessary" to tow the car despite it being 2 years out of date and hadn't moved in over 6 months.Pros:-they usually answer the phoneCons:-took them at least 24 hours after each phone call to get a tow truck out to the location-unreliable, as they decided to change their mind about the agreement and not inform anyone-took 2 weeks to get the car towed-indifferent and argumentative attitude on the phonetldr: STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS.

I take my car here all the time for repairs. I've found the mechanics, Austin in particular, to be knowledgable and honest. This is a family-owned small business that has been in Greenville for decades -- not one of the large corporate shops that marks everything up and does repairs that you don't need. Highly recommend.

Went with work colleagues to lunch this afternoon, half of us went to Sup Dogs and half went to Pita Pit and parked in the Sup Dogs parking lot. We saw them throw a "Final Notice" sticker on our car and roll the tow truck up and take our car with no warning. We all ran out to our car before they even began to backup and they pretended not to even see us. Plowed through us and picked up our car and started to drive off. I managed to stop the guy and explain what happened, he wouldn't drop the car, or even offer to drop it for less on the spot. Me and four of my colleagues had to find a ride to the bank, then get dropped off at University Auto Care to pay $135 dollars. They didn't even offer to take the huge orange sticker off the side of our car... The most rude service I've ever received in my life. I understand that's your job to tow, but in this case we were actually paying money to the merchants of two locations that service that parking lot.

Forget about those negative comments, most of them are about towing, while towing is always a problem. As a student in ECU, I only spent 75 dollars here to solve the problem that the dealer could not solve for over 300 dollars! Thanks for their help !

Jackie James and the staff of University Auto Care remind me of the way it used to be - service that is exceptional and provided at a fair price.Parents of students who are away from home and need help with automobile service should feel confidant in asking Jackie to help.

I was very pleased. They don't overcharge and are very quick to get your car out of their shop, not to mention how convenient they are for the ECU community.

A true rip off. I went there to get my car inspected and had a LIST of repairs they needed to do before I could get my registration. I ended up taking it somewhere else and passed with flying colors. They were trying to take my money for things that were not actually an issue.
