I took my 2013 jeep compass into Berkeley Transmissions, Air Conditioning and Auto Repair service to have my AC repaired. He diagnosed the problem and charged me $1193.46 to repair it, this also includes a fee of $46.00, because I used my debit card, (he wanted cash). I had to bring my car back a few days later, because the AC was blowing hot air. He now wants me to pay him an additional $500.00 to repair my air condition that should have been repaired.I m retired and on social security, I do not have that kind of money.He told me my condenser had a hole in it. I asked if it was pressure tested after it was repaired. He started yelling, If it wasn t you would have never got it! He stated, that I was accusing them of doing something to my car.I think his reaction was out of guilt, because I simply said as much money as I have paid you, my air condition should be working. I pray that they do the right thing and fix my air condition, because they have been paid in full. I am riding around in a hot car; he has $1193.56 of my money.

The gentlemen here did a great job. I came in and got my AC fixed and left. I got down the road and it was not working again. I took it back in and we found the issue. They installed a new compressor and even refunded me my money from my first visit. They also warranty their work. I highly recommend them. They also did my brakes and rotors while it was in the shop. Thanks fellas!

a Very wonderful gentleman helped with my car. And even directed me to a competitor cuz i might have to have an alignment done and they don't do that. That's AMAZING , these days. He ran a computer check on my car printed it out for me even. And sent me omw feeling even better. I will be going back and i will be telling anyone that need anything to do with there cars to co their. Wonderful people. 10 stars

I spoke to Rich and explained my situation. He gave me a date that worked with my travel plans and had me back in the road as promised. My transmission was completely fried and they rebuilt it and it is working better than the name brand transmission shop remanufactured transmission that only had 70,000 miles on it. This shop was recommended by a local police officer and I'm glad I followed that recommendation. When you go there, talk to Rich the "Old Man". You won't be sorry.Service: Transmission

Have used their service about 4 times over the last 10 years. It was excellent each time. And my niece came all the way from Raleigh for air conditioning service there about 4 years ago because I reccomended them. She also had excellent service. Her AC is still working. So is mine and my transmission which they built for me 5 years ago. I haven't heard anything negative about them. So check them out.

They are super friendly and customer service was excellent. I took my car there and they diagnosed it as a bad master cylinder and slave cylinder. So they replaced that and my clutch. They were a pleasure to do business with.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Be careful.. They did nothing for me but took $50 from me. I had a 100 dollar deductible the warranty takes care of the rest. I ALREADY KNEW I needed a air compressor. I paid 50 up front. The said i needed way more than a compressor and therefore they said i would have to come out of pocket $177 so i decided to go to SPENCER AUTOMOTIVE. I asked for my $50 back. His excuse was that was the checking fee. How could that be possible if I already stated the problem.??

Very rude the guys in there have nothing but attitudes. They did a horrible job on my car, they actually made it worse.

Installed my clutch without resurfacing the flywheel because it looked good and now it makes a horrible noise 75% of the time. They tried to blame the oem parts I brought, but admitted it could be the flywheel. Regardless they wanted to charge me another $400 to fix their mistake

We are so impressed with Berkeley Transmissions and AC. We have taken our 2003 Ford there a couple times now and every time they have thoroughly investigated the root of the problem and given a fair estimate. We got a quote from the dealership which was more than double and would not have fixed the actual problem. These guys do great work and are a pleasure to work with. For as long as we are in Goldsboro we will take our cars to them.

Ford C4 transmission rebuilt at Berkeley transmission in goldsboro nc and I have not had 1 problem with the trans it shifts perfect They are real pros I would take any trans to them if you have a classic car and need repair for your transmission this is the place it will work just alike the factory or better very knowledgeable very helpful call them reasonable prices only 600 bucks for a c4 well worth the money!!

very rude people they try to do good work but money is king ! if you want it done go here if you want it right go somewhere else ! good luck with anything they do wrong !!!!! will screw the whole job up over$ 20.00 lots of work done here 65% neg 35% pos cash is king
