Got info on how much for an estimate to replace my AC compressor. Was told that I'd have to leave it with them and the estimate would cost $150/hr which means I'd have to get a rental car for who knows how long. Their reviews are very good and they were recommended but I'll have to wait and see when I can get my car there to give a review on the repair.

Moved to the area recently and needed a mechanic for maintenance and minor repairs to my Audi. Wellman technicians are knowledgeable about imports and do the job right. I usually talk to John Michael and he knows all about my car. They are honest with you about their work and treat your vehicle like it was their own. They will go above and beyond to help you out and are super friendly. Highly recommend their services!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Very good people. Let's you know upfront about their service. Will continue to use. Feb 7, 2022. Just recently had my rear brakes and rotors done on my 2016 bmw 3 series. I see the difference soon time to get the front done.

My family and I recently went out of town and my daughters Volkswagen broke down near the evening hours. We were blessed to be near a gas station beside a Ford dealership. They couldn't help us because of the make of the car however they gave us the number to Wellmans. WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! John Michael was more than helpful and they fixed the car the very next day before 1pm. It's running great and we've had no problems with it. I'd strongly recommend their services!!!

Great service. Professional staff. The service was completed very quickly on my Porsche Turbo S while receiving constant updates from them. I have been taking my car to Wellman Motor Sports for the last 2+ years instead of the local Porsche dealership because of:1) Their professionalism,2) Their skills (BUSCH Certified and it shows),3) Cost (much cheaper than Porsche).Thank you Wellman! -Mario

I took my daughters 2001 Beetle in to possible have a transmission changed. John Michael was the man that helped me. He was so nice and helpful. He give me a few different quotes of ways to go with the transmission being changed. I felt he was very honest and truthful with me. After the work has been done now for about a month, the transmission is still working good. I will be taking my daughters car there again if I have anything else. Thank You John Michael

I read reviews on resturants so I absolutely read reviews for expensive repairs and service providers to help lead me to businesses who are fair honest and provides a good service. So if I write one it's to help other people in need of services. On August 10 2020 I called Wellmans Auto repair/ Motorsports in Gastonia about bleeding my brakes turning the rotor and putting new brake pads on my vehicle. I spoke with Jonmichael who told me they wouldn't be able to get to it until the next day (Tuesday). I went ahead and dropped it off that afternoon so they could get it done Tuesday morning he said he'd call when it was ready. Tuesday August 11 I hadn't heard anything so called at 1:00 to see if it was about ready the office said he (Jonmichael) was at lunch she didn't know if it was ready that she'd have him call when he got back. 3:00 pm came hadn't heard from him so I called back. He told me they hadn't started it bu that it would be $1,146.48.I told him all I brought it in for was to turn front rotors brake pads and brake lines bleed what was costing that much. He said in addition to what I requested that it also needed rear cylinders rear brake drums a rear hardware kit and a master cylinder. I told him I didn't have that kind of money and told him to just turn the rotors new brake pads and bleed the brakes. He said No that he couldn't do that that it all had to be done and that I couldn't drive it until it was done that it dangerous. .. . I told him I didn't have that kind of money I'd have to call me son and talk to him about it. He said alright . I called back they were closed. So Wednesday morning since he said it was dangerous I couldnt drive it and he had refused to put brakes on it & do the job I requested I had to call a wrecker to go get it . The second shop I had it moved to put New rotors on the front ,turned the back rotors put all 4 brake pads on bled the lines put new seals tighted a headlight that was loose and put new battery post on for $450. Total plus the $50 I had to pay the wrecker to move it. That was still $646.48 less than Wellmans who was going to charge me for parts I didn't need. Times are hard. People need fair and honest mechanics thats why I posting this review. Hope this review helps if your looking for a repair shop.

These guys are a class act! They have saved me a ton of money, they're very knowledgeable, great customer service, & taught me alot about Mercedes Benz. I drive 30 min. one way just to bring them my ML350.

I have always been satisfied with the quality of work from Wellmans Motor Sports Inc. I feel confident that these guys will find out whats wrong and fix the problem every time we need to bring our vehicles in for service. With both of our cars being imports i wouldn't take them anywhere else!!!! We couldn't be happier with the level professionalism and I highly recommend them.

We called Wellmon- Motor Sports, Inc to have the locks fixed on our Mercedes SUV. They did an excellent job for a fair price in just a short time. We have used them for repairs on other Mercedes and have always received satisfactory service. We even bought a Mercedes from them which has proved to be an excellent car for us. We highly recommend them for quality service and communication about any work they will do. We trust them and that is important, too. John-Michael Wellmon and his team are well trained professionals who know how to work on luxury vehicles.

I see all these great reviews how people have gotten there car fix meanwhile these people have had my car since April it s going to be July in about a week all I needed was my timing chain replaced it shouldn t take this long when supposedly they started working on my car 3 weeks ago

I can see after reading several of reviews on Wellman s I should ve read the reviews before taking my van to have Wellman s work on it will start the story I took my van and they diagnose my van with a bad turbo replace the turbo almost $2000 in two months later I pick the van up the van ran worst than it did when I brought it to them had to have it towed home just beware this company does not give you a diagnostic Nord will they give you a written estimate which is North Carolina vehicle repair act is require them to give a written and signed estimate by both parties if it s $350 or more beware beware bewareServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance
