Just want to say this is a top knotch place, with class and knows how to treat people and put customer service out front, and most importantly they are honest and fair, and do not push anything or sale you something you don't need. From the owner, the boss lady and everyone in between are nothing short of being great. So if you are looking for a honest, and great place to work on your car, go to South New hope Automotive.

Sid and his wife have always been kind to me but since I bought a truck with heavier tires they don t want to rotate them. So I would suggest if you have a bigger heavy duty job you may want to go to look somewhere else. But if you have a small repair that doesn t require much hard work, this is the place to go.

Took my truck to get oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. The inspection machine was down and they let me know. I decided to go ahead and get the oil change and rotation, but was disappointed I would need to take more time to get it inspected another day. Went back to pick up my truck and they took it somewhere else for me to get it inspected. That s customer service you don t see anymore. I paid just a little bit more for all that than I did at Take 5 for just an oil change. Earned my business.

This shop is awesome! I have been searching for a new mechanic and luckily I stopped here today. They worked me in and were very professional and knowledgeable. Prices are extremely reasonable. Thank you Virgil for your advice.

Great locally owned shop to work with. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and they were very responsive. They replaced the clutch in my car, and its as good as new. Sid and his team are trustworthy and do good work for a fair price. Very pleased and will certainly be back!

Brought them my 2011 Subaru that has a bunch of issues. They called and emailed us an estimate. My husband and Sid discussed what really needed to be done and what we can sit and wait on. South New Hope Automotive is the only place to take your vehicle. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have worked on all my vehicles from import to domestic and the family car to my heavy duty work trucks. They do the best and honest work at a fair price. This is hard to find nowadays! As another review said, the mechanic everybody wishes the knew about ! The lady at the front was just flat out rude. Someone else recommended I go there, they have been sending business her way and not just me. She didn t want to help me, you could see the disgust in her face. I had two pretty pricy things that needed to be fixed on my car. She also didn t even give me a chance to explain them to her. I promise I ll never recommend this place and they will never get a cent of my money. Kindness goes a long way and she had none.

I took my van in to have it serviced. They did the service and called me to come and get it. Very reasonable price, the staff knew what they were doing and were great to work with. I needed to have the battery cables fixed where another company had put them in wrong, but I had not mentioned that when I left my van. I got my van home and opened the hood, and I couldn't believe what I saw. Without me asking, they had fixed the cables going to the battery, at no charge! That was awesome. Someone fixed something that had nothing to do with them - without being asked.I will never take my vehicles anywhere else.

Sid has been working on every one of my family s vehicles for years and we wouldn t use anyone else. He s very honest, financially reasonable, and extremely knowledgeable. He s the mechanic that everyone wish they knew about. Sid the owner is an honest man. He's been taking care of my 2000 Silverado and my 2015 Equinox since he opened up on South New Hope Rd before this location. You won't go wrong giving him a call for most any of your mechanical issues

This place is everything you love about a garage, family owned and run, reasonably priced, generations old in the area, reliable, honest. They also went above and beyond when I got stuck, they helped me find a way to get there to get my truck. Wish there wete 6 stars! Best garage Ive been to across the US. Alot of places take advantage of single moms.. This was my first time getting my car serviced here and I will definitely bring my car back for any future services needed. Each time I spoke with someone on the phone, they were polite and helpful. They gave me a time to drop my car off and had a look at everything so they could give me a quote for the work. Sid and his team are the premier auto service shop in the Gastonia area! you can totally tell they have been in the business for many years. The quality of work, attention to detail, and the customer service is simply amazing. The service is very reasonable and the scheduling makes servicing your vehicle much more enjoyable. They make great suggestions about your car that are genuine! Many shops in the area try to stack the bill with "items they see wrong" that is not the case here, they are genuinely looking out for your better interest. I have 5 cars and this is the only service center I will take them to! fast, great quality, genuine, and LOCAL! Being a 30 yr. Veteran mechanic I only take my vehicle to somewhere I know I can trust when I don't have time to do the work myself. They're really good trustworthy people and reasonable on their prices. They will never try to up sell you on services you don't need .

I run a business down the street from these folks with a couple of overlapping services; however, they do much more involved work than I do, and so, whenever one of my customers needs something that I don't provide, I always recommend Sid and his guys because I know that they're on the ball. No one has come back yet with anything bad to say but several have come back saying that they were able to help. On the personal side, I just called yesterday morning (very last-minute) to ask if they could fit me in for an oil change, and they had it done before lunch. I haven't heard the first negative thing about this place, and, as I'm sure you all know, that's quite a rarity in the automotive industry!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing, Oil change

I visited this place about a week ago because the underneath part of my wife's honda civic started scratching the ground because she hit something on the road. I brought the car in basically when they opened. I was greeted by Courtney at the front desk. I appreciate that she was very professional and nice! New Hope automotive had me in and out in about three hours. They gave me an unexpected surprise. The cost of the minor repair (reinforce some plate under car) was free, so they did not charge me a thing! I want to give a shout out to Travis because I was told he was the one that did the repair, thank you. I want to give a shout out to the owner also! This is the type of professional and family friendly type of atmosphere that I wish more businesses would adopt. I highly recommend this place without any hesitation!Also, since you gave me a free service, if you ever need help with anything computer related, I will assist you if i can for free.
