My husband and I use Mr Tire for our oil changes, and often times tire services. The staff is always friendly to me, and I never have any problems. Plus they re within walking distance of my house for when I pick my car up.

Me and my family have been a loyal customer here for years and I have NEVER EVER had a BAD service until today. The lady who "helped" me was on the phone talking/laughing was definitely a personal call the whole time I was there didn't even get off when I got there to talk to me. I asked her how much my service was going to be and she like "I don't know" and continues to talk on the phone I was there for almost 40 min and when it's finally done I kept asking her questions that she didn't know again. DO BETTER. Hire someone that's know what they are talking about and have a better customer service. I kept my calm and I was respectful but the anger inside me omg. I asked her if y'all are partnered with Valvoline and she said no bc I wanted to use a coupon for $10 and Y'all have a sign the says valvoline instant oil change so I don't understand why and I told her and then she said she took the coupon and didn't even scan anything I don't even know what the original price was because again she didn't know.Helnful OThanks

This used to be the place to go for first rate service, when it was Clark Tire. Now it seems they've gone corporate. Calling is routed to the same kind of overseas style call center helpdesk that is more interested in getting your contact information than actually letting you talk to a mechanic firsthand.

Rudest, slowest, most passive aggressive company I've ever experienced.I had an appointment at 4:30 pmI came in at 3 pm and asked if I could be seen sooner. The place was completely dead, not a soul was getting a tire changed. The workers were walking around, chatting with each other.The lady at the front desk ( while chewing and smacking a mouth full offood) said I could Wait in my car.Nobody ever came out to get me.I had to walk back in after an hour where my wait time started over.

Tire rotation and replacing two headlight bulbs. I was told the tire rotation was free and then charged 24.99. I wasn t consulted about the price to replace headlight bulbs, and was charged $200 for that, including $18 to throw out the old headlights. I felt like I had been robbed since I wasn t even asked first about those prices.

Usually good service. This time I waited 2 hours. When I asked the status of my vehicle I was told oh it s been ready. If I had not asked I would still have been sitting there. Other customers got called when their cars were ready but I wasn t. Glad I asked so I didn t end up sitting there longer.

Since Google does not allow you to do multiple reviews for the same location, I unfortunately have to come back and edit my review several months later. This place is under new management and now that Rafe is no longer there I will not visit this location again. It is disappointing because this is a place where not only me, but I got 2 family members who also started driving from Georgia for their vehicle service needs too... Anyways, I called during the week to set up an appointment for a vehicle inspection and the woman over the phone said they don t do state inspections anymore. I thought that was strange so I called back to ask for someone else... Anyways I drive 4hrs, show up for my inspection and they have me wait 1hr 45mins before telling me that their machine is down. Well how long was it down! And if it wasn t for me going back up to the front, who knows how much longer they would have let me sit there. (which I read in a below post from a customer that she was waiting hours & was told her vehicle had already been ready when she asked). And btw the woman at the desk was vaping. Honestly this place is so TACKY now.I wanted to leave my original review from 2023 here so that you all could know how great it was with Rafe: I absolutely love coming to this location. I drive to Gastonia all the way from Georgia because I only trust Rafe and his team with my vehicle service needs. So glad I discovered them last year and I've been back ever since. You will get a team you can trust and dedicated service. Thank you for always coming through for me!

I have been a regular customer at MR Tire and Auto in Gastonia for over 4 years. However, I recently found out that my usual manager has left and has been replaced by a new manager named Christoph Hart. While I appreciate the quality of work done by the mechanic, I have found the new manager to be very unfriendly and in need of an attitude adjustment. In my opinion, this establishment requires a new manager in order to provide a better customer service experience. I would like to keep up my old Google review.Aug 2021They are really nice people got my tune up, oil change and Alignment all in one day. They was fast I would recommend if you have a big project I would try to come on a weekday when they are slow. They only bad thing I can say is the Wating area need to have a deep clean and they need to have comfortable chairs. But the service was a A+ experience.

The team at Mr Tire in Gastonia is awesome! In town for a baseball tourney, noticed a screw in my treads so went to see them. I was in a time crunch to get back to the park. They had me in and out and fixed up in no time so able to make it back for the first pitch. Guys there were very nice and very professional! Thanks to the team there for great service and saving my day last Saturday!

I had a flat tire on interstate, swapped the spare on and started searching for a tire shop. Now, this was on a Friday evening shortly before 5:00. I stopped at this shop and met the friendliest person, who absolutely fit me in and got me underway in less than an hour. Shout to to Mr. Tire in Gastonia and Rafe Creed manager, and his techs! This happened June 3rd, and I just cleaned out my glove compartment and found the invoice, sorry for the delay guys. Thanks Again !

I am beyond pleased with my experience at Mr. Tire. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I came in due to a nail in my tire. They were able to patch it up for me and add more air to my tire! They helped me so much and I really appreciate it, especially with it being a Sunday! Thank you guys so much. I would definitely come here again and recommend Mr Tire to anyone I know! Thank you. Happy customer for sure!

I called and spoke with Ray over the phone about a service, and he was very kind, knowledgeable and efficient. And then when I went to drop off the car, Chris was assisting the desk, and he was phenomenal as well. Truly such great, genuine service - customer service-wise and car service-wise. Will be coming back and highly recommend!

I was concerned that my brakes needed replacement. Taking a trip. Needed an oil change as well. Called and spoke to Chris. Very upbeat and professional. Dropped car off. They called. Advised I didn't need brakes. Rotated tires for free. Oil changed. Awesome service. 5 stars

Several weeks ago traveling back from the mountains we experienced a flat tire. We traveled about 5 miles on a rim. After removing the tire and inspecting it we were told the tire was destroyed. They did not have our size tire in stock. They inflated our donut spare and mounted it. Upon asking for the bill they said it was free even knowing that we lived too far away to return to purchase a replacement from them. Why can't every retail establishment practice this type of customer service. Would highly recommend because you can trust they are not ripping you off.

Brought in my Maserati to get a tire issue fixed (needed to be plugged) & they showed me the utmost hospitality, while also being knowledgeable & courteous of what was going on & what needed to be done. I also noticed the same approach being taken with other customers which speaks volumes especially with them being short staffed on this particular day. Really good, genuine people with the know how to go along with them. I am definitely recommending this particular shop to family & friends both whom I know in NC & GA. God bless.

These guys were great.Had an issue at another shop where I got an oil change, the other shop told me the oil plug was bad, as a temporary fix, they put in an oversized drain plug and told me that I needed to replace the oil pan on the next oil change (which would cost $800....)When I went to Mr. Tire, I bought the oil pan and was ready to have them do it instead. However the technicians at Mr. Tire found that the threads on the current oil pan were fine, so it just needed a new stock plug, which was a $10 fix. Saved me a bunch of money when I was already thinking I was convinced that I was going to have to come out of pocket.

Went to get my oil changed today and as I was driving back home I noticed smoking from my engine. Stopped and popped the hood and MY Reservoir CAP was not put back on. First I want to say, I came here for an oil change. Not a coolant change. If the workers would have asked about my coolant I would have told them we have problems with it in the first place and to not bother touching it we got that. I called to ask why my coolant reservoir was touched in the first place and the worker stated that it was apart of their job to check the whole car and I told him that s not what I asked you to do though and the worker stated that that s not how he does business . I simply came here for an oil change nothing more and I am very furious at the fact I was not aware of them doing anything other than an oil change. Will not be back .

Great customer service from beginning of scheduling to walking out the door. Reasonably priced and great work! My car is not making anymore noise from my brakes. Even got a last minute remembered inspection. They are some good guys there I am definitely going back and referring!

I go here for everything. After this last experience I will not be going back. First off. I always pull up and pull to a bay not knowing where to go NEVER HAD ANY issue ( but today I guess it was an issue cause he ( Chris) felt the need to be rude just as his phone conversation started earlier. Anywho, a rainy, cold Thursday and a woman walks out to a flat tire early morning of course we assume it s a flat! A coworker goes to get fix a flat( which I didn t use after the harsh , rude conversation. I call to ask could I be squeezed in, because I had just worked 17 hours and had to be right back at work because I m always bringing my cars there. Anywho, I explain what s going on and rudely while being interrupted as well he states I can t help you if you use fix a flat, and if you blah blah.. this/ that. Now I have him on speaker phone in the office and all my coworkers are like wow, so rude. I get that he needed to let me know what NOT to do but to cut people off and be rude. NO. Then I arrive and the arrogance speaks volumes. I let him know with tears in my eyes that I was tired and cold. He didn t care, nor apologize. No empathy nor compassion. He then comes around the corner and says MsKelly the next time you come please don t park in the Bay Area. Ok. I ve always pulled up there and never had any issue nor been told not to. All bays doors were closed. I will never be back again! Never!
