I had an appointment at 8:30 and I got there a little early. A lady came in the same time I did but didn't have an appointment and asked if they would inspect her car. I waited until after 9:00 and they were making no effort to get to my car even though they took the lady WITHOUT the appointment ahead of me. No thank you!! If you say you are giving someone an appointment, then honor that or just don't bother saying it.

I would give them 10 if I could. It was a Thursday evening at about 5 pm. My grandson's truck had a tire leaking air. I called and asked if they would repair the tire for me. They said sure, bring it down to us. We arrived at about 5;30 pm. Even though they closed at 6 pm, they stayed past 6 pm and repaired the tire for us. The price for the repair is a good price. I highly recommend Momentum tire. I will be using them more in the future.

This place is one of the few family owned businesses left in our area and are just good, honest people!Had my oil changed there for the first time after jiffy lube tried to charge me $140.00 for an oil change. It was around 60 bucks at Momentum. A smooth and trustworthy transaction and I will always go back there for my car care needs. Thanks!

My experience with Momentum Tire & Car Care was on Wednesday September 20, 2023. I had taken my car in because my car was leaking antifreeze and my heat wasn t working. Momentum said I needed a radiator, radiator cap, coolant passage gasket set, and coolant labor would be $437.50 parts/tires 284.97 labor/other $585.45, supplies $32.98 subtotal $903.40 sales/tax $63.24 for a combined total of $966.64. Once these repairs were made my heat was supposed to be in working order. I also had an oil changed added at my request which brought the total to $1,026 I used a $5.00 off coupon which reduced my bill to $1,021. They were gracious enough to give me a courtesy ride to my home and back to the shop once my car was fixed. Momentum had my car for 7 hours, they called me @3:30 on Wednesday afternoon and said my car was READY and my heat was WORKING. I paid the $1,021 bill and was ecstatic to know I d have heat, only to check and find out my heat was NOT working. I called and told them immediately, they told me to bring my car back in. Upon the second visit and having my car examined again, I was told now I needed a heat blower that would cost an additional approximately $400 and they would knock off $100 because they didn t CATCH it the day before. I was so hurt because I didn t have the extra $300 because I felt that a reputable car care center such as Momentum would have known this before calling me telling me my car was READY. I couldn t afford another unexpected repair so I had to just take my keys and leave. I have a $1,000 radiator and STILL no heat. I trusted Momentum, but NEVER again. I drove home with tears because now I m back to square one. I only pray I can find an honest car repair shop to help me before the weather turns cold.

Very friendly staff. Took care of my vehicle with quality care and quickly. Made sure one of my sensors was working properly. Quickly took care of my problem and did an oil change while I was there.

One word to describe this business: Invaluable.Local, family owned, honest shop with incredibly fair pricing. I have come here several times now for issues related to my tires as well as an alignment and state inspection. They were able to ship tires to their store and have them on my car by the very next afternoon, only having to wait an hour and a half for the install to be complete.The staff responsible for answering the phone are incredibly helpful and polite. The lady that helped me on the day of this review was patient, kind, and informative while putting me at ease about a small issue they found with my lug nut. Trey does amazing work and I can tell that the folks here don t take shortcuts. Every time I have had my car serviced they ve been nothing short of wonderful to me over the phone and in person. Both the customer service employees and folks working in the shop take time to explain everything they re doing to your car and make sure to get customer approval after advising.For all of you out there that have had awful experiences with shops overcharging you, charging for labor that doesn t need to be done, or talking down to you rather than educating you about your vehicle, please give Momentum your business. Incredible people doing incredible work.You absolutely cannot put a price on honesty when it comes to trusting a business with your car, and I have never found a more honest shop.

I had a really positive experience here. Got back to me immediately on a quote for four tires. Got me in quickly as I had a flat. Very communicative and friendly throughout.

Way overpriced figured out they charge 3 times the price for a part spent over $1,000 for a A/C compressor. They wanted $620 to put a radiator in. I went back to my old mechanic and had it done for $320.00. They also charged me 68 bucks for a serpentine belt. I had already gotten one for $23.00

This is where I'll get my tires from now on. I called and was given options on tires and never pressured one way or the other. When I got there they had my tires ready and I was in and out in around 45.minutes even though they were really busy. Not once did they try to sell an additional service that I didn't need, I just got my tires and went on my way.

Guy at front desk was very rude when I was trying to explain problem about my bmw I would definitely not go here wouldn t even look at me when I m talking. Would like to speak to a manager

Good price and great service on a set of 4 new tires, Cooper Endeavor Plus. I knew at least one TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor was dead. So, I had them replace all four of those, while they were putting the tires on. They offered a discount to replace all 4 at once. It appears they stay pretty busy, so I do recommend making an appointment.

Best tire and auto care shop in Gaston County! Always professional, courteous and fair prices. The wait area is comfortable, and there are benches outside, too. I bought my Michelin tires here, and have been so pleased that I have my Honda regularly serviced for regular maintenance.

The employees were very courteous and professional. I had been told by other shops that my repair could take 3-4 hours, but they got me done in less than an hour. The only issue I had was the uncomfortable chairs and no drink machine.

I brought my Tahoe in to get a tire plugged from a screw being lodged in. I was greeted right when I came through the door, the guys were very helpful by letting me know it might be a while. I was there a little over an hour, but once they were able to plug the tire, it didn't take long at all. There were about 5 people others that came in and the team got them in and out relatively quickly.Thank you guys for keeping Tire Country's legacy going by providing over the top customer service and getting your customers in and out fast! I will definitely be back. :)

Update since Momentum bought it. Very satisfied with the service and the customer service is excellent. Great communication and easy scheduling. It is hard to find people you trust these days. I trust these guys and Trey might be the nicest person you ever meet.This review is from when it was Tire Country. Haven't been there enough to review although I hear good things. "This is where I take all my cars for oil changes and tires. Great guys, no nonsense, great service. Been going here for 15 years. It s nice to have a place you can trust."

These guys really take great care of their customers. It's hard to find a mechanic who won't rip you off. These guys want you to come back again and again. Their reputation with their customers is very valuable to them. Thank you guys. I will always come back.

REVIEW UPDATEThey ve come along way. Saving my vehicle after I went way beyond a needed oil change. Affordable. And didn t make me feel like an idiot. Appreciative for the help. Thanks momentum.Old Review below left to show improvement and appreciation.Definitely missing the sense of urgency that tire country brought to the table. I don t think anyone is expecting 20-30-40 minute service, but there is definitely a wait for what you d expect to be a rather quick turn around. At the end of the day this is not tire country so it s unfair to rate/compare. We miss Steve and the bunch, but I believe in time as Momentum continues to serve the Gastonia area and we continue to give feed back- improvement will come. Just reviewing previous comments I think it s safe to say there could be improvement on the turn around timing, but of course not if that s going to interfere with work quality. Outside of the 88 minute wait for tire care and then a replacement, I got to work safely and they didn t break the bank to make it happen. So thanks Momentum.

Thank you so much for the quick repair of my thermostat. I only had a couple days off and you were able to get my car up and running again perfectly again. Momentum has serviced my cars for years and I will continue to return.

Just had a great experience buying new tires, so I hadn't planned to need their services again so soon. My car had other plans and wouldn't start Saturday morning when I left work. I called Momentum and thankfully was told they could check it out that day. AAA roadside got it running and was sure it was a bad starter so I fully intended to have that service performed. I was pleasantly surprised when later that day they found nothing wrong after checking it over thoroughly. When my husband picked it up, there was no charge, which really was above and beyond. Really appreciate their honesty and integrity and highly recommend!

Didn't have an appointment for my inspection. They were able to get me in and inspected. Very family friendly and pet friendly. I will definitely be bringing the wife's car in as well. Thanks again look forward to doing more business with you all

Went in to have my car inspection and I needed new tires and brakes as well. They gave me an amazing price and I wasn't even there long. I will be going here from now on. They are fast and so nice and the waiting room was very nice!! Great experience!!!

Went in for an inspection. Didn't have an appointment. I was expecting it to take awhile. I was in and out in 15 mins. I was really impressed. Great customer service. Great service. Totally recommend them to anyone that needs service

I am putting this review on behalf of my mother. She is also contacting them today as they were closed yesterday. I don't like to complain but when it comes to my mother and something that could have very easily taken her from me I cannot keep this in. God was with us yesterday! my mom went to Momentum Tire on Friday and had her tires rotated and 2 new ones put on. My mother does not go many places on the weekend so she had not gone anywhere until she went to Walmart yesterday. She noticed a knocking aound while driving. My husband and I happened to be over here with our girls yesterday. My husband worked for a tire place for 10+ years and is now a mechanic at a dealership so he was more than happy to drive it and see what he could determine what it was. It didn't take him long. He could turn one of the lugnuts with his fingers. He got the lug wrench out and every single one of the tires had loose ones and the one on the front wasn't even on the housing all the way. My mother travels an hour away every Wednesday to watch my daughters for me. If we had not been here and figured this out she could have very easily had traveled there and lost her life because her tire would have came off. I don't know what to even say other than she is very thankful and this is not ok! I am not by any means saying that this happened on purpose bit 1 mistake like this could have costed my mother her life

These photos are from Tire Country was there. We always used Tire Country for all of our 5 vehicles. Honest and GREAT prices, but now they are gone. Have not been to the new owner and I'm kind of hesitant about it. They seem to be more commercialized then a home town small business.

This place is great! I've been taking my car here for years. They are always fair and honest and I like that they sell American. They have short wait times and will work with you if you need to make accommodation's. If you neglect to do your homework on inspections, and etc prior to coming in they will be glad to walk you through the process on how to fix it or change it.
