We had driven here from out of state when our car started making noises that needed diagnosing. Tim was great, he figured out what the issue was and it turned out to be a cheaper fix than we'd expected. He ran through possible fixes and let us know what was really needed immediately and what we could wait on if we wanted. I felt he took the time to listen and didn't try to pressure us into anything. I really appreciated his time and work, they got us in quickly and all the work done the same day. If we lived in the area, this would definitely be our go-to mechanic.

Best place I ve been to and will continue to come here for any of my car needs!!! Super efficient and gets the job done in a timely manner. Respectful owners that work with you on your time and like the name says, affordable!! Would 100% recommend these hard working guys!

I ve taken my car there multiple time for all kinds of different things and they always do great work and reasonably priced. Tim answers any questions I have and I think that s very important. I ll always bring my cars here and my dad is going there too now.

Tim does an excellent job and is priced fairly for the work being completed. I have been bringing vehicles to Tim personally for over 10 years and have never had a single issue. In addition, I have referred at least a dozen family members and friends to Tim and have heard nothing but positive reports back in terms of pricing, service and value. I personally drive 45 minutes from Rock Hill to bring my car to Tim as I have looked at several other options closer to home, but have never found another repair shop that is as honest as Tim and competently completes the work in a timely manner. An auto mechanic you can trust to do quality work while not ripping you off can be difficult to find, look no further as Tim's get you covered.

I went here after seeing an ad online for a car that was for sale we met with tim and he showed us the car let us test drive it and was very upfront about everything that he had done to the car and everything that was still wrong since buying the car he has been great he answers any questions and is a really good guy if you want someone who is up front and honest I definitely recommend going to see tim

After driving from MA, I had a check engine light. I am happy to have found Affordable Auto. They diagnosed the issue and worked hard to both fix the problem and find the hard to get parts needed. Tim even looked at old engines for parts. Tim was very responsive via phone and email and kept me up to date on the progress. He also showed me the replaced parts and explained their function. I felt very well taken care of by affordable auto.

We have been taking out cars to Tim at Affordable Auto since he first opened the doors. He is the only mechanic we take out cars to for regular maintenance and repairs. He is fair, honest and he and his staff have always provided excellent customer service. The quality of there work is great and their prices are fair. I would highly recommend them!!!

We live out of state and needed a mechanic for a car that would not start. After reading all the honest reviews here, we called and were impressed with the initial conversation with Tim. We chose to have the car towed there after hours. Tim handled it the next day and what we planned to have done, ended up not needing a new part. Tim just fixed the issue using the same part that just needed to be bolted in properly. We went ahead and asked him to change the breaks while it was there. He was honest, professional, affordable and kind. Definitely recommend.

I have used Affordable Auto repair for years. Today I was reminded of whey that I use them. I had recently taken my wife's car into a local Dealership for her routine maintenance that is covered under her warranty. I was told she needed new brakes and the rotors turned. They gave me a price for the work to be done which I felt was a little high. I took the car to Tim at Affordable and after he looked at all 4 wheels he told me that the brakes were still good for about 15,000 miles and the rotors looked to be fine. He put the tires back on and told me he would see me in about 4 to 6 months. I have found that Tim and his staff at Affordable are the most honest people that I have ever dealt with in the car repair industry. If you haven't used them for your car repair then you should give them a try. I will only use them for all of my car repair work.

So far so good no problems to report we are having our vehicle work here definitely will report anything good or bad we have been looking for a good mechanic so hopefully these guys will take care of us!Update: All is well with this shop very helpful all needs are met, you couldn't ask for a better mechanic shop.!!!!!!!4/16/23 Update: Still receiving wonderful service please if you are in need of there help do give them a try you won't regret it!

Just an absolutely wonderful experience with Tim and his folks at Affordable Auto. I had a situation arise where my Volvo couldn t be fixed at another location. He truly came to my rescue and got me back on the road. I would not pay any attention to a negative review as that is completely opposite of how these folks perform. Love Tim and his family! Blessings!

Had my truck towed wouldn't crank. They checked it's old truck and gear shift wasn't all the way in park and it cranked. They made sure nothing wrong. Felt good to find a honest repair shop not trying over charge or fix something not wrong. They did my inspection and only charged for inspection. I be back because of true honesty and great service. I was stranded on Saturday night on the road with my van, which is where I live when I travel. My alternator went out. Monday morning Tim and the crew were able to get me back on the road before 2pm, they even checked my fluids for me without me asking (thankfully because I needed an oil change badly). They offered to change the oil, but left it up to me. I was talked to like a human, not like some dumb broad that knows nothing about cars, and I really appreciated that. Highly recommend taking your car here, even if your a single female stranded alone, this garage can be trusted to take care of you without taking advantage of you.

They are the only mechanic I trust whenever there is an issue with my car, or if I'm just needing routine service. I appreciate that Tim will run everything by me and inform me on whatever the issues are with my car before he does any work and will only work on what I request to have fixed. I've never once got a "snake" vibe from him like most mechanics give off. Overall it's a great place for any repairs or service you need, and in my opinion they are a very honest business.

Paid $1500 to fix a lot of issues on the car. Fuel pump repair, leaking of antifreeze, burning smell when running the heat and more. They fixed the leak supposedly but after I picked up the car the car was still in bad condition after I payed lot of money. I took the car back and asked them to look over it but they wanted to charge me again just to look over the car. The car still had issues with the air and the burning smell. Don t go here if you re a woman because they ll take advantage of you and they think you re plain stupid. Had problems with my car ever since! Also don t claim to be Christian when you don t treat people Christian like! Ripping them off for everything they got!

I've been doing business with Affordable Auto for over 10 years. Tim is very knowledgeable about all vehicle models and offers quick and accurate diagnosis to car issues. Great prices, friendly atmosphere, excellent customer service .

Always fair and honest. Tim really cares about doing what is right for the customer and I will recommend this repair shop to anyone. Just know he usually has a wait time. I had to wait 5 days for my last service, but I didn't mind because I wanted an honest opinion on what my car needed.

The only place that has and will ever touch my vehicle. Tim (I think is his name, that answers the phone) is very polite and respectful! They are very affordable and get the job done right. My SUV was taken in and was ready a day and a half later, here recently I had my SUV towed in on a Thursday around 2pm and it was ready by 10 the next morning. 1000% recommend!

The best auto shop in Gaston County. Tim is honest, polite, and knowledgeable. He has worked on my car many times. Look no further for your auto repair needs! If it s something he doesn t do at his shop, trust that he will know someone who can!

Needed a door handle latch replaced. I chose this place as the ratings of locals were high for this place. Ratings usually don't lie. Repairs took no longer than an hour by appointment and the cost was on the lower range compared to the dealership prices. I also purchased the part prior so this may have contributed to the low cost as well. Highly Recommend. Thanks Tim!

The first time I brought my car here, my air conditioning was on the fritz. I had gotten several estimates, all of which were in the $900 range. Tim fixed my a/c for about $500, and I have been bringing all my vehicles here ever since. Affordable Auto Repair lives up to its name and has friendly service, too!

Tim (owner,operator) is one of the most honest,sincere people on the planet.My husband and his family have used Tim s shop for various automotive maintenance through the years. I would highly recommend Tim and his staff for any of your mechanical needs

This guy is FANTASTIC!!! Since I work on my cars myself I was going to change a starter in my 2011 Acadia...no easy task. A friend suggested that I call. They only charged $110...and for that price they can have at it. I have had the actual dealership trace a check engine light issue and it kept coming back. They couldn't get it right iafter two visits. Tim fixed it while changing the starter and never even told me about it...no extra charge. In our modern world this is a paradise of honesty and fair prices. Thank you...thank you...THANK YOU!!!

Tim was AMAZING!! I went due to the 2 positive reviews I saw here. There should be more! The early opening hours didn't hurt either. I was passing through and my truck kept overheating due to the massive uhaul trailer I was towing. I called and Tim took me in as an emergency. I went to uhaul first to disconnect my trailer. I get there and their jack is broke! Called Tim and he said he'll take care of it. He fixed my car pretty quickly and kept me informed of anything he saw needed to be done before he did it. Tried to save me money. Being a female he didn't try to take advantage! My car runs wonderfully. If I lived here I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Tim and his crew are very honest mechanics, he doesn't take advantage of you just because you are a female, like some mechanics do. This my second car and it is a foreign car , he has always started at the least expensive point to see what works and found solutions that fixed and prevented potential problems. I would recommend him to any female who needs honesty.

Tim is always helpful and honest. He will never allow me drive my car on long trips without first giving it a full inspection. He works around a busy mom s schedule. He is honest, kind, and friendly.
