I found this amazing electrical shop in Raleigh, NC. I was having trouble with my car cutting off whole driving down the highway. I had no idea what the problem was, so I dropped it off at Johnny's Auto, and they solved the problem. I needed a new key and got my car reprogrammed. It's been driving perfectly since. Listen, if you are having electrical problems with your car, don't be afraid to take it to Johnny's Auto they are affordable, professional, and kind. I really love this business.

Johnny's Auto & Marine Electric was recommended to me by my local Triple A shop. Not only did they quote the work at an excellent price, but they also did quality work. I felt that the mechanics I spoke to were honest and had integrity, and they didn't try to upsell me other things for my car. I would definitely recommend them and return myself the next time I need great auto repair work done.

Was sent here by an auto shop that couldn t figure out my brake light issue. Once there they looked really busy initially, I was going to have to leave the car, but Chris came out and took a look at the issue and figured it out immediately. It was the wrong bulb that had been installed. He had it delivered within 15 minutes installed and everything worked great. Couldn t imagine a better experience!

If I could give zero stars I would. Called them last week to have my truck diagnosed. They told me to bring the truck in on Tuesday morning and they would have it diagnosed. Also told them I was in a bind and needed it diagnosed by Tuesday they said they would handle it. Called them Tuesday at 11am and asked if they had looked at it yet, told me they would give me a call later today to let me know what they found out. Drove another 45 minutes after work to grab some work stuff out of the truck and the truck hasn t been moved, their is also a breathalyzer in my truck that I told them about and told them I could get them a code with sending a simple email, guy at the front desk told me not to worry about it that they would handle it. Well I get here today 30 minutes before they close and was met with a guy in front office, whose breath smelled nothing but alcohol and told me they were charging me an hour to get the code and also hadn t looked at my truck. I m in a bind right now and would ve liked to have left it but after the alcohol smell and them not informing me of that extra charge for something I could ve gotten for them so now I will be taking it across the street. Don t come here even if you re in a bind not worth the extra stress. I m sure they are going to comment, and say the companies like them to handle getting the code but told them specifically I had talked to a manager and could get the code very easily, they told me they would handle it. For an extra $150 I m sure they will.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This place always offers top notch electrical repairs for me. Brought in a tacoma for electrical issue service was swift and fairly priced. I walked away pleased as usual. A highly recommended team to work with.

Told them my headlight switch doesn't work! They charged me $260 (1.5 hours of labor work!) and told me, yes you have to replace it. Now pay ~300 more (just labor not including the part) to replace it!

I like Chris but their prices is too high and somebody had been driving my mom's Chrysler 300 for their personal use....As I was cleaning it out today I found a cigarette butt in the door panel space and trash under the seat and the gas was driven out.....If I trust you to work on my vehicles I expect my stuff to be respected....This car was not like that when I took it up there and this is TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE!!!!!

I took my civic with a problem in the cluster. It was not showing speed sometimes. Perhaps, there is a loose connection. However, they spent three hours in diagnostic and charged $318!!! They offered me a solution to replace the cluster for additional $520. I declined their offer and decided to take a diagnosis report. They provided a short report with a description as problem in the cluster . I highly recommend you to avoid this shop. They are too expensive and their service is not satisfactory.Service: Electrical

They did a great job on the electrical issue with our 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck. Quick and affordable.

After having to jump my Cherokee before AND after work I was at a loss as to the problem, especially since Auto Zone tested my battery and they said everything was fine. Took it to Johnny's, lo and behold it was a bad battery. I didn't care it was under warranty at Autozone, I just wanted a decent battery that was reliable. The guys at Johnny's were great, empathetic and fixed my Jeep. They're always awesome to work with. :-)

They successfully diagnosed the problem with my 2015 VW Passat which would intermittently shut down. Had two other shops that couldn't replicate/diagnose the issue. Turned out to be the non-AGM battery I'd installed which always tested good.

These guys are top notch. After a mechanic shop took a year and a half and tried three ac compressors on my 2009 Infiniti G37 and I took it to Crossroads Infiniti and they offered to install a new AC compressor to start with, I took it here. They pulled the HVAC amplifier module out from behind the radio, saw that it had blow capacitors, and replaced it with a new module. If you have AC problems with an Infiniti vehicle I would definitely recommend a stop here over the dealership.

You know they re good when they can identify the make and model of my car by just looking at the alternator still in my hand as I m walking in the door. Very experienced staff and rebuilt my alternator with great turnaround and reasonable price. Will be coming back.

Being a ASE technician for 20 plus years I ve worked with a lot of people, a lot of different shops from Christen Brothers to Pep Boys to Meineke we all depend on him for helping us out in a pinch. He has the proper tooling to diagnose the problem quickly. I m grateful he s there. He s helped us find some of the craziest stuff that you will find on a car, That s why I continue to take my Time consuming issues to his shop.Sometimes I just don t have the time that he puts into it to find these little gremlins. When we can t find it we take it to him.As in any business a transaction I think you should see it for what it is, Communication that takes place between two people. These are knowledgeable folks. Thank you for everything you do we depend on you.Anomalously another business that works with all year. THANK YOU !

Brought our 2011 Malibu there for a diagnosis, was running rough. After an hour they called to tell us it was no good, not worth fixing, and to scrap the car. Trailered it to a friends dad for second opinion, after a few hours of casual diagnostics determined it needed new spark plugs, and we were able to drive it home. Very disappointed in Johnny's Auto, had we listened to them would have scrapped a perfectly good car for $20 worth of spark plugs.*Unsure how to respond to owners reply so editing this comment*Car runs great. Did also replace the cats and now all check engine lights are off and husband drives it the hour commute to work everyday. Runs great, has great power, and as great of MPG as that car can get. We are very happy with our decision to get a second opinion, and keep the car.

Bought in my f150 with a challenging electrical short. They where able to diagnose and repair the problem in a relatively short time. I believe they even fixed my leaking tire because it hasn't lost air since bringing it to them. These guys have been around for at least the last 20 years and most mechanics I know use them exclusively for electrical issues. They aren't the cheapest but I contend what they charge is fair for the level of experience and expertise. You can't go wrong.

INCREDIBLE service here. Honestly I couldn't be more happy or relieved. After another shop jipped me hard, and told me the completely incorrect diagnosis for what was wrong with my car, I came here for a second opinion, having estimated almost 1000$ in repairs from the previous shop. All said and done I paid $303 for an amazing repair job that got my car back up to code and able to register and get new plates. These guys were friendly, understanding, empathetic, and accommodating, and above all they were honest. I highly recommend utilizing their service for your auto repair needs at any point and you can count on good quality, honest, impeccable work to be done at a fair price.

He lied to me about fixing my jeep. I wanted them to find out why it wasn't starting. He said they found out why after looking at it for 2 hours. Which was $140 an hour. Then said the total was $375 plus an extra$400 if I wanted it to tun smooth. It ran great just wouldn't start. He said it ran like garbage. I said just fix it for $375 and I will look at it. I picked it up after hours because I worked late. It ran like garbage all the way home. I looked under the hood and one of my spark plug wires was off. Put it on and it ran great again. He was going to try and get another$400 out of my wallet for that. Then he also charged me for $140 an hour for 2 hours to find the problem. In that 2 hours he didn't see the spark plug wire was off. This guy Tom at the shop is a crook and I will never recommend them to anyone. Stay away.

What a wonderful group of technicians. Patrick is so skilled and thorough. He is bringing my 27 year old vehicle back to its original state. I could not get this kind of service anywhere else. I am very lucky that I came upon their service, certainly not the dealership.

I had an electrical problem with my 2004 Lincoln Town Car that no one could seem to figure out. I took it to Johnny's Auto & Marine Electric. They were very patient while I babbled on about what was going on with my car and they found the problem and were able to offer me an affordable solution. I am so grateful to these guys and I absolutely recommend them for their automotive skills, professionalism and friendly service. They are the best! Thank you Tom and Hector!

Just had some electrical work done on my boat; overall I'm satisfied with the work and would recommend this service. They replaced a DC switch panel, rewired a bilge pump, installed a voltmeter, connected a GPS/chartplotter and replaced lead wires to the battery. Overall, the fit/finish of the installation was terrific -- it's evident it's a professionally done job. All fittings were properly wrapped and heat-shrunk with appropriate fuse/surge protection integrated into the circuits. I valued the opportunity to speak twice with the actual technician who did the work; he took time to explain the work, things he found and how he solved them. The service manager was professional and accurately set expectations in completion.

So all mechanics claim that they do auto electrical work but that usually only means replacing batteries, starter motors and alternators. If you have a real electrical problem with your car then you need a real auto electrician and Johnny's is the place. My mechanic could not fix my problem, the dealer could not fix my problem, Johnny's did. These are the guys you need when no one else can help.

Good, Fast, Cheap: Pick twoJohnny's is my go-to for quality auto electrical work done quickly at a fair price. Tom and the staff were highly accommodating when I needed the windows in my Mazda 3 diagnosed and repaired, just as they were a decade ago when I needed to track down gremlins in my Jeep Cherokee. The Mazda had been to two other shops in the area for the same issue, and both times the repairs failed just weeks later. Not so with Johnny's. I'm back to stock functionality, able to roll my windows down just in time to enjoy the half week of fall we're bound to get here in NC.Please note, the term used for pricing was "fair" not "cheap". For other reviews attempting to price-shame this shop, keep in mind that electrical systems are complex (increasingly so with further integration of computers into every corner of vehicle operation) and require a specialty focus to properly diagnose and correct. I wouldn't use the cheapest lawyer, or orthopedic surgeon, or contractor; why would I complain when another specialized service is pricing accordingly? My only complaint is a back-charge for labor completed in phase 1 (pre-hurricane Florence) that wasn't charged until completion of the work. Other than this hiccup (which is generally understandable when the whole state is staring down the barrel of a Category 4), the pricing structure and rate are in line with what I'd expect from a specialty shop.

I had my 99 grand Cherokee go out on me after work. Got it towed up to them through " big dog towing " recommendation. I got it towed there at about 9am and turns out my starter was the problem. They got it diagnosed and fixed all in one day. Very efficient, and hard workers! Cost me $460. I will definitely be going here in future if I need it.

It only took them 1 hour to fix my car. I had two fuses go out on me and after that my car had power again. They were dependable and I knew I could rely on them. I talked to Patrick while I was there and he went above and beyond to make sure that everything I asked for was fixed.

I was referred by my Tow Driver after several Mechanics attempted to fix my electrical issues on my Toyota . Coming from the Customer Service Industries I have high expectations as a general rule. From Dwight to Tom I could not be more happier. They not only diagnosed the issue with 24 hours and had it repaired the very next day. It gets better they were closed by the time i got off work , I asked Dwight if he could leave my key in car not informing him that it was the only key I owned , arrived on a Saturday during none business hours and again Dwight saved the day showing up on his day off to fine out I only owned 1 key not only did he greet me with an amazing warm welcome he offers sum of his own freshly picked tomatoes and called a local Awesome locksmith to unlock my car.So when I tell you these guys are the most professional team that i've ever encountered I truly mean it!!! I just had to give him a big hug they made my day. Thank You again I will be a returning client and suggest anyone with electrical issues these are the guys you want to bring your vehicle to. Five Stars Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
