This is the second car I have had repaired at this body shop. This time it was my Lexus that hit a deer. I was worried it would not come back in the shape it was before i hit the deer. It They did a great job getting it back to original condition especially with matching the paint. Matt was great to work with and communicated with me throughout the whole process, which was extensive since my car is a hybrid which makes it harder to work on. The women who work upfront and the phones are some of the nicest people I have dealt with, and go out of their way to help and make you feel comfortable in a difficult time. If there is a problem they will check it out and if they can't find the fix they will go out to a third party to help find it. Very pleased with my whole experience.

I want to thank all of the staff at Coats. Especially Leah and Amy.They were professional and knowledgable since the day I walked into their shop.When I got my car back, I never would have known anything was damaged on the car!I will surely use their services again and feel blessed to have had such kind folks helping me with all of my issues.Great shop!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Had a pretty impressive dent on my hood from a work place incedent. The third party company that damaged the truck told me to get a couple estimates and that they would get a hold of who ever I decided to get the work done by and they would cover the charges with credit card over the phone. I decided to go with Coats and they were very easy to deal with with the pay by phone situation of the third party. They got the work finished quickly and even stayed open an extra 30 minutes the night they finished so I could pick up my truck. They did an amazing job and made the experience easy going.

The Coats team was excellent at communication and answering all my questions with getting my Honda HRV fixed after it was hit in a parking lot. They kept me updated regularly while my car was in the shop and handled the communication with the insurance company. They always answered the phone and returned my car fixed like new and even cleaned it. I would highly recommend this shop and will use it in the future if I ever need any other body work done on my car.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Wonderful experience. Came here after our Volvo was rear ended. This is a Volvo certified collision center. Everything went very smooth from insurance, car rental pick up and drop off on site, to the repair itself. Very pleased with the final product. Just got my car back from Coats auto body and I have to say I'm very impressed with service and customer care I was provided from these awesome people. Communicated any changes during the process and set actuate expectations of when the work would be done. I havnt really dealt with many accidents and had no idea about the process but the staff at Coats treated me like I was part of the family and did a great job explaining the process. I refuse to use any other collision service in the triangle from now on!

Deer jumped on my car back and I thought it was a little dent. When got home saw it was more than just "a little dent": there were more damage to the passenger side, tire, bomper! Called our car insurance and right the way started the process to get my car back to normal. After doing research around and checking with prior clients, we decided to go to Coats Auto Body in Garner. Rusty and his team were really good! We are very impressed on how my car looks now. You would never know the deer hit our car!! They had our car for a couple of weeks due to shortage of some items needed for the repair, which was really annoying, but definitely we were happy with the turn out!

Took my 2021 Maxima to this place to get an estimate for minor damage done to my car. Everyone was at first so nice and smiles full of Christmas cheer and all that good stuff right. I advised them that I was going to pay out of pocket initially, pending the amount of estimate. We'll, I received the estimate, and it was way more than I had expected because they said it included underlying electronic repairs which was would be needed regardless. So I presented the estimate to my insurance company and they advised me that the repair amount did not add up to them based on the there repair means, they stated that Coates was charging me $800 more for unnecessary electronic repairs and made liaison with there an repair shop within their network whom agreed that the repairs would be less than what Coates has written, and the electronic work had no affect to the damage. Yes, I felt cheated by Coates repair attempt to charge me for unnecessary work, I advised the lady at Coates and advised the difference in price and BOOM what'd you know, she hung up on me and never called me back, be very astute when dealing with this company, I will never refer anyone to this company!

Worst experience I ve ever had customer service was awful with the exception that the owner was the nicest person there got a bunch of under the tree employees working there . Took my car there for minor damage firstly they bled the insurance damage my car and would not acknowledge it royal push around after I collected my car it wasn t driving the way it should returned to shop and they said it was my tires immediately changed my tires same noise so I drove straight to the dealer for a second opinion car was test driven and checked upon by Toyota s master technician. Who said it was wheel bearing that was damaged due to the accident returned to the shop and was told by Rusty( under tree technician) who said to get documentation of what Toyota found on paper which I did they said they will work with what Toyota said thus toyota did say there willing to explain how the wheel bearing and hub could ve been damage but yet they still telling the insurance that the damage was not related to the accident but yet the whole front of the car was dismantled with removal of engine also I supplied a part and had to purchase another part they said they couldn t locate but yet I was able to order part right on Amazon in there parking lot which arrived a day later take note I was not even refunded for the parts I supplied but I didn t need it they could take it and send Rusty to further Schooling it s a good thing the insurance company will call Toyota to confirm damage stay away from this shop my bumper is out of place worst than when I took in for the damage made sure I made it clear to my insurance company if there satisfied with what Toyota says I don t want my car to be fixed by COATS at that point I ll prefer to fix my car myself I will continue to never recommend this company to anyone there s always a saying stick to what you know I m not a review person but this is the only satisfaction. Hit a deer and the front right side was damaged headlight bumper could not even open the passenger side door. Amy and the team at Coats were Great !! Everyone was professional and knowledgeable. Top notch service with a team that truly cares about your vehicle and your satisfaction. My vehicle looked better than it did when I purchased it! Although the repair time took a little longer than expected, they were very communicative throughout the entire process and explained in detail what was occurring. Customer service goes above and beyond what is expected. Fought for me to help reconcile a discrepancy with my insurance company and followed up with me a few days later after they completed repairs to make sure the issue was handled. Coats was highly recommended to me and now I highly recommend them!

Great experience with my repair.I was in an accident and the repairs were done quickly, but due to labor and shipping issues, my part was not able to be shipped from the manufacturer for months.Coats auto body always gave me, at minimum, two updates per week and went above and beyond to get the part from another source.Not only did they get me back in my car months sooner than if I had to wait for the dealer, but they even cleaned and detailed the car before I picked it up.Couldn't be more happy with the results and service.I highly recommend them if you need auto work done.

Just had Coats fix up a ding in my bumper that was affecting my blind spot monitors on my 2020 Mazda last week and cannot rate them highly enough! The girls in the front office, as well as their production manager, kept me up to date on the repairs every step of the way so there were absolutely no surprises. They helped get everything lined up with my insurance before the repair and their customer service was top notch overall. They made the whole process super easy for me. Plus, the repair looks great and my blind spot monitors are functioning properly again! Hoping to not need their services again anytime soon, but if I do, I know where I ll be going for car repairs.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

First off, out of the places i checked out and all the reviews I read, this is where i decided to take my Honda after it got side swiped by a deer.The staff are super nice and friendly, helpful. They walked me through what was going to be done and gave me a reasonable estimate on when it would be completed.I didn't have to wait for them to "start working on it", they started the very next week.After receiving my car back, I had a couple of issues, and they addressed them promptly without hesitation.If I were to ever need this sort of service again, I would definitely bring my vehicle back for repairs.

Very impressed with the overall experience provided by Coats Auto Body. I called last week to get an estimate for a missing passenger side mirror and was scheduled quickly for the next day. Within five minutes, I had an estimate that was affordable and fair. The staff was friendly and reassuring.When I went in today, it took less than 30 minutes for them to put the new mirror on and it looks great. I would highly recommend Coats to any friend or family member in need of minor or major work. Definitely going to use them again if the need arises! Thanks to the entire crew at Coats for amazing service.

Coats Auto in Garner did an amazing job fixing my Hyundai Tucson. When I left, I felt like I was driving a brand new car again. It had been cleaned on the inside and the repairs were even better than I imagined. They kept me updated during the entire process, were always available to answer my concerns and questions, and worked with my insurance. I am very pleased with their work and will definitely recommend them to anybody needing auto body work.

I have been here twice for a repair. They are the only people who could fix my rear end damages before October Everybody else was late in October. I got a call on September 19Th telling me my car was ready they wasn t supposed to start on it until Sept 23 so I was very happy for the fast work and they did a VERY good job on my car it looks brand new. The owner and her sister are very sweet ladies very professional i really appreciate that and if I get into anymore damages I will be returning thank you Coats

I was rear-ended and given a choice to go where I would like to get my car fixed. I chose Coats, and they did not disappoint. They kept me informed through the whole process, and they had great communication with the insurance agency. My car was also washed and cleaned on the inside - not sure if this is standard, but it exceeded my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend Ernie!! Thank you Coats!!

Once again, we experienced not only excellent customer service, but a level of expertise that assures us that repairs are done correctly. With 3 daughters who seem to be accident prone, we've come to rely on Coats Auto Body to keep our cars on the road. As I was leaving Coats, Tana noticed a shield under the car that needed to be bolted back (something I had noticed, but ignored). She sent a technician out to repair it before I left, wanting to make sure the car was completely safe.

Rear ended recently, so I was in need of body work. I highly recommend Coats in Garner and Raleigh. Friendly and competent staff. My SUV is looking like new. So glad to have my baby back. Shout out to Enterprise car rental on Wilmington Street. I got a Nissan Rogue, it was a smooth ride with lots of bells and whistles. I will miss the heated seats and the light that lets you know someone is beside you or coming up beside you.

I took my 2016 Kia Soul to Coats to have it fixed. They fixed everything, but when I drove the car home it wobbled like crazy. They said it was the brakes and they were going to submit the supplemental to the insurance. I called the insurance and they told me the supplemental was never filed, instead Coats had only asked a question. I called back and they told me to take the car to the dealer and have everything else fixed. What in the world. They "fix" my car and then when I have issues with it, they want someone else to fix their mess. I thought they offered a lifetime guarantee and went through the entire car before they submitted the quote to the insurance? Apparently not! They can handle a minor fix, but go somewhere else for major collision damage. Now I have a car that is too dangerous to drive with my two toddler sons and Coat's is wiping their hands clean with everything and saying good luck with the corners we cut during the repair.Your response is a complete fabrication. The insurance agent never called me and my mailbox is not full, actually I have visual voicemail and it is empty. Your mechanic said that he balanced the tire, lie number one because I was outside watching him, he simply checked the alignment. Secondly, I was told that a supplement would be submitted by 2 different people and it wasn't done. Again, if a car is taken to you to fix, then the expectation is to actually fix the entire vehicle, not what you think may be wrong. I do not feel that it is right for a customer to take their car to another dealer to fix what you started. It must be nice to simply say, well take your car somewhere else to fix our mistakes. Customers can not respond to your reply directly, and now I know why you have so many positive reviews. Sho ever wrote this response must not be aware of the whole situation.

Very poor customer service, and workmanship! They did some work on my brother's car after an accident, and they did a VERY sloppy job. They didn't mount the rear view mirror correctly, and it rattles now. They replaced parts on the front end, and broke clips in doing so, now the bumper sags to this day. Then they proceeded to hide them thinking we wouldn't take the front bumper cover off - which you have to do on that car to replace the headlights, which is how we discovered that. The body lines don't match up either anymore, mind you it was a very minor accident, should've been a simple fix for an experienced body shop. They neglected to replace a lot of suspension parts that were also damaged in the accident - Which would've been covered by insurance anyway, so I really don't understand why they refused to replace them? But it just further proves my point on how poorly they conduct business!-My reply to your counter reply: That's because the accident was a little over a year ago and correction - it was my brother's car, not mine. I did however accompany him in bringing it back to confront your management team about the shotty work that was done. Though they had condescending answers for everything we had to say, and did little to fix the initial issues. Time passed and he eventually gave up dealing with the clowns there to fix it, and found help elsewhere to do it RIGHT.There is nothing more your business can do to further ruin his car. I just want to inform others how bad your services are so they don't make the mistake of going to your location.And it was a 2013 Dodge Dart Gt - incase you were wondering.

Tana and Jim are fantastic! They run a great family owned business. Very convenient having two locations to choose from. I consistently get great feedback from their past customers who have needed to get body work done. If you want great customer service and your car fixed correctly this is the place to go!

No one wants to need to visit an Auto Body Shop, but they came highly recommended and I can see why. They are great and Amy is my now my go-to if (heaven forbid) I need another repair. Call ahead! They dealt with my insurance company and kept me informed every step of the way. I am new to NC and relied on recommendations, glad I did.
