I have taken my car here two times and I received excellent service and care from Steve and the employees! I have been more than happy to bring my car here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic!

Recently I posted a one star , because I had tools stolen from my truck , so I was mad and took it out on them with a crappie review. I will correct what I should have said they deserve 5 stars the work on my truck was exceptional (new rear end) it runs like the day it came off the lot . The owner Steve sat down with me about my stolen tools and I see the sign not responsible for items left in your vehicle so I thanked him for a good job and he reached in his pocket and paid me for my loss I was really left speechless but I will say he s a good man and I ll be bringing them my vehicles anytime I need work done and I ve been a customer for over three years and always had great service. So Steve I apologize for venting out my frustration.

I have been coming here for years. I continue to come here because of the owners honesty and integrity. He backs up his repairs and makes sure that all my issues are addressed. Throughout the years they have serviced my Ford Mustang and Expedition, Subaru Forester and BMW. Great work for a great price. Thank you for your politeness and dedication to ensuring my cars are serviced and safe for my family.

Steve was nothing but kind and supportive from the moment I reached out to him about my car that was rear ended to the time my car was done. I was hit by a company truck and that company was a nightmare to deal with and drugged their feet when trying to handle the situation. Steve stepped in and helped get the ball rolling. It was really nice having someone in my corner to help navigate me through the mess and ensure things were done right. I really appreciated his communication the whole way through. When my car was done, it was as good as new! Very happy with my experience with him and his company.

Overall, I think this is a good shop, my only disappointment was today (3/14/2024) I installed NGK spark plugs in my GMC Envoy after APC installed Autolites in November 2023. When I got that service in November I specifically asked not to install an Autolite Plug so yes I was not pleased to remove those plugs today, solving a ruff idle when cold and clearing 2 additional codes than the known P0171 code going in.

I ve visited this business several times for regular maintenance and repair. The service has always been fantastic. The wonderful woman in the office is friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. The mechanics are thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and straight forward without trying to up-sell you at every turn. This is the type of garage I grew up around. The money seems to go toward hiring highly qualified people, and not toward making the garage look trendy or sporty. If my mom lived in this area, Auto Performance Center is where her car would go. I can t give any higher praise than that.

The staff at this location are absolutely amazing, the owner Steve is helpful and works with you, and makes sure you understand exactly what is going on with your vehicle! Will definitely be going back again!

Decent service. I came here for a inspection. Initially there was no one available and I had to come back because of associate being on lunch. No biggieI got back and dropped the car off. I asked the associate if he knew how to drive manual and he assured me he could. AlWatching him trying to put my car in the garage he stalled it about 3-4 times before asking me for help. I wish the help was asked before hand or another associate knew how to drive manual.The inspected was done quickly after the fact and updated to website right away

Serviced a car and let them leave knowing the car was not secure or correct. They should be charged! That's someone's life! Wasn't surprised to hear the racist remarks after seeing the lack or decency and humanity they had. Everyone involved needs to be terminated.

We've always used the mechanic next door and never knew they had a body shop. Same awesome work just steps away. I always recommend them and now I can recommend them for any body repair needs!

I'm giving them a one because the mechanics did some bad work on a woman's car and were secretly recorded calling the same woman out of her name. So I won't be taking any of my vehicles there.

Horrible establishment that accuse patrons of abusing substances while using derogatory racist slurs to describe their black patrons. If you are black stay away from this establishment before they cut your brake line or caused damage to your vehicle simply for being black. You ve been warned! Racist establishments do not deserve your money!

Intelligent Power Distribution Module --> Removed & Replaced. First visited this auto-repair shop in Fall 2011, and unless Steve Ward [the owner] directs me to do otherwise, my wife & I will continue to use Auto Performance Center for care of our two auto's so as long as we are able & live in Garner. Great service! I ve been a few times now and they ve been incredibly friendly each time. They have been very helpful; they fixed a check engine issue for a fair price. They re also very quick with the repairs. They diagnosed my check engine issue and fixed it that same day. I also had them look into another problem that my car has been having, and even though we haven t found a definitive answer, I greatly appreciate that they were willing to look at it as much and as in-depth as they did. They re great mechanics and don t give false info - other shops before them had diagnosed my car incorrectly, but once they looked at it, my issues were actually getting fixed. I definitely intend to keep using their services and highly recommend them to others.Update 6/16: I wanted to add to this about the issue we were unsure of - turns out it was as simple as replacing the gas cap, which they managed to figure out and fix for me!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I went to get a pre-purchase car inspected yesterday and I was impressed with the quality of service, outstanding. Direct and professional. I definitely trust bring my own car to get fixed or to go for an other pre purchase car inspection again.

Fantastic place for anything you need done! From body work to engines... electronics... even inspections! Christian was great taking care of my oil change and tune up! And Steve ( the owner btw) did my motor workonmy caddy and ot runs like a dream!! Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!

Great service and friendly folks. I brought my 2015 convertible Mustang because it was leaking water into the interior and gathering in the back floorboard. They were able to find and fix the problem in a short time and were reasonably priced for the work done. I would recommend them for any body work or repairs.

Auto performance center is one of the best shops I ve been to in all my 29 years here on Earth. I met Don and his great crew after a shade tree mechanic did some work on my car soon after we arrived from S. Korea here to the Garner area. From day one Don and his staff have always been helpful, cost effective, and even assisted me when I was forced to shop for a new car.There are not enough words to describe how great APC is! I recommend them often and their service is impeccable and great priced.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Well let's start I took Buick rendezvous, last for 3.5mths they had truck. Gave back 6 x times with my transmission leak everytime. I spent 4700 on repairs without my vehicle 4mths total. I posted a review. So Steve and secretary called if I removed rating or changed. He told me he give free oil change on my vehicles as long as I my particular vehicle and yearly inspection free, so I except the offer. So June 10th I drop vehicle off, I get a phone. He couldn't or wouldn't honor no more. And slander his name. First a man word is all his own morals. Business is business. Just be honest and truthful. I wish I had recorded both conversations to take blog down. Steve a bare face liar and that's the truth

Great customer service, prices, and work. I've taken my wife's and my own vehicle several times for routine maintenance. I haven't had any problems. They have always been accommodating of my schedule and stuck to their time predictions. Aaron, a mechanic, has always been very cheerful and explains any problems with my cars and solutions in laymen terms.

I have been going to Auto Performance Center for about 2.5 years now and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. The staff is so helpful and friendly and you can tell it is a family owned business that has been around for a long time. They truly have the customers best interest in mind and want to make sure your car is safe for you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I just stopped in to get an estimate on repairing my bumper which was coming loose. Jamie stopped what she was doing and came out to look at it and saw that it was a minor fix and fixed it on the spot. Most businesses just don't care for their customers that way anymore. Great Prices, Efficient, and the lady at the front desk is so helpful. She has the best customer service. I would like to thank the mechanics that worked on my truck. It had several issues and they really made sure I understood the problems with my car and she explain how to keep my car well maintenance. THANKS SO MUCH.
