This was my first time here. I arrived early because I was in the area. I discovered that my gas cap was missing( Son borrowed my car and didn't put it back). The store opens at 9:00 AM on Sundays several people are already in the parking lot like me waiting. Once it's 9, the staff is pulling up and walking to the store to unlock the doors and set up the cash registers. Around 9:10ish or so, they gave the thumbs up to come on in. I was able to get my item quickly and get out quickly.

It s very rare I ever leave a bad review. But after more than three incidents it s time. From having to wait outside of the store 30 minutes after they were supposed to open and two young ladies showing up clearly high and laughing. What a slap to my face. From going back the following week and the same lady couldn t even give me correct change to the fact that their coworker butted in and mentioned the manager was unhappy because the register has been short. From calling in to verify part availability and price, showing up and then getting double the price they gave me over the phone because they put me in as a commercial account? I asked for a price adjustment since I drove here and was told a price over the phone, one that they already had held for me and printed out. But the guy literally rolled his eyes, walked away, and just said we will not This place needs a whole new team. What an embarrassment

Went to the other Big 2 Auto Parts stores prior and couldn t get any help, or the staff had Zero knowledge, or was rude, or were out of stock of what I needed. Should have just started at AAP. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, quick, and efficient. 5 stars.

Super helpful and through when I needed something simple they went above and beyond to try to get a part for me even though it wasn't a part they dealt with. That's good customer service right there

I received horrible experience at this store. I am a 19 year old who came to this store to ask about why my car wouldn t turn on. Keep in mind i m here for college. This guy told me that i needed a new battery and a new alternator because it was old. And he told me it would be $800 + dollars. I went to another store like 2 min away from there, and he told me what i needed. I just needed a new battery. I don t remember the guys name but he was disrespectful and rude. And thought i was some dumb girl and thought i would waste $800 dollars on the spot.

They are ok, just wondering what the point is for my front brake pads warranty if I can t bring them in to swap out for some new ones, I have a lifetime warranty on them but would still have to buy some more when I need some new ones, make it make sense

I called prior to getting there to gove my car information to be able to change my front headlight. So when I got there to get the part, it took my son less than 15min to change out my headlight. He rode with mr & did the change right there in the Advance Auto parking lot. Their clerks are very knowledgeable and will help you as much as they can in a timely & accurate manner. On US-Hwy70, Garner, NC. THANKS

WARNING THIS REVIEW USES SPECIFIC AND POSSIBLY GLORIFYING INFORMATION MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL READERS!!!My goodness have you ever wondered "where has Customer Service gone? I can answer that question for you, it is at the Advance Auto Parts store at 1500 US Highway 70 west Garner!!When I walked through the door I was greeted by a gentleman (now I know his name is "Anthony P" from the receipt). This guy not only greeted me but was extremely personable (Not some stuck up dude that thought he was doing me a favor by waiting on me.) and knew exactly what I was asking for and took me to it and then rang me up.Before leaving the store, I had an interaction with Carson J, and oh, my goodness this young lady had the same similar attitude and customer service that Anthony P displayed.I thought so much of them that I had to go back in the store to get their names, so, I could write this review!!Not sure about the rest of the staff that works at this store because I didn't have interaction with them but these two displayed superior customer service and they gave me the "I gotta come back and only shop at this store" kind of a vibe. Just amazing customer service and attitude. That is saying a lot because in the world that we live in customer service has exited the building but these two definitely let you know where it now resides at; Advance Auto Parts store# 04119.Keep up the good work Anthony P and Carson J; with your attitudes and customer service you are going places in life and hopefully with Advance Auto Parts or greater heights elsewhere. You deserve some type of recognition or something extra in your pay envelope, lol. I had to write this review.

Went to the store to have a battery charged that was brought there. Forgot my tools to take the battery off. Asked the store clerk if he had something to take the battery off, he looked at me dumbfounded and said I can sell you some tools. But the sign on the window says free loaner tools. Last time ever shopping at Advance Auto

From the phone call I made before I got there, to the great service I received when I got there, the easy replacement of my battery even though the removal of the existing battery was a little complex, the gentleman helping me was calm and cool in spite of it being almost 100 degrees outside. Their great customer service overall helped make a battery dying not so bad of an experience.

Took care of us like a pit crew. Good teamwork and great work ethic. Also good mobile app experience.Only suggestion is they could use some signage on their rear entrance to parking lot or side of building. If you're coming in "the back way" and you've never been there before, it can be a bit difficult to spot since the building looks plain from the side and back.

I visited this location twice within the past week to take care of a few things with our vehicle. Both times, I was lucky to have Anthony assist me. He is very kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Bought a part online and used promo code for first time purchase. Picked up part in store and even rented the "loaned tools" to replace the part I purchased. The closest store to me didn't have the part in stock so I drove a little further to get it. Picked up what I needed and left. Got back, opened the box, and a completely different part was in the box. I bought an oxygen sensor and there was an ignition starter with keys in the box.... I drove back to the store, explained the situation, and they were SO RUDE. The guy there (Thursday, December 6th, around 6:00), offered no apology, said that the manufacturer must've sent the wrong part in the box because no one there (their staff) would've placed the wrong part in the box. Okay... Besides no apology or explanation, they also said they didn't have the part I needed originally and I could drive to another store to get it. They didn't offer to find the part for me, to make sure the other store had it, and they acted offended when I asked for a refund. I gave back the loaner tools and asked for my deposit back, too. He "completed" the return and I had to ask for a receipt showing proof. I will NEVER visit this store again, and will travel the extra distance next time to another store (maybe Autozone) to make sure I receive the customer service that guests deserve. I'm not sure why he felt he needed to make me feel bad for receiving a wrong part when it could've been handled in a more professional manner.

Advance is my new go to; I was going to AutoZone but they messed up my online order three times then sold the part I needed to someone else. Filled the order with advance and it was ready the same day and everything was correct.

On the day my son and I were moving from NC to Florida,my son's 1 month old battery was dead. We called and they told us bring it back.. I wish I could remember the young man's name, charged the battery, came to my car to keep me posted on the progress for over 40 minutes and it was cold and windy that day. He for sure was a Hero toe that day, kind sweet, knew what he was talking about and found me a long set of battery cables I needed .. I hope this finds the young man and Say THANK YOU

Ron and Dee gave us great customer service. We went to Auto Zone first and the experience was horrible. Came here and not only did they have the part we needed but they helped us with installation. Their prices were alot cheaper as well. This will be the only store I come to for my car needs. Thank you for the pleasantly professional experience.

I have shopped at advanced for well over ten years at different locations all because of the prices and the amazing customer service I have received. BUT THIS STORE ON HIGHWAY 70 is by far the worst store I have ever been to. Absolutely rude, unprofessional, unknowledgeable, and careless staff I have ever dealt with. Only one or two staff members are polite. Even the store manager every time I go in is rude. Fire these people and hire someone else. I have never been told I couldn t use a scanner tool in the parking lot and then the manager didn t even offer. She just got an attitude with me so I left. I will never shop at this store again. I would rather drive 30 minutes to the next one. To bad corporate will never see this because it it an awful store that they need to get control of.

Went to this store for a few parts of my car, but the customer service Mr. Brandon was not interested in helping. He gave me 5 digits to go and locate a box on wall while he is behind the counter. I was only one customer in store! I left and went to the O'Reilly auto parts. Two gentlemen there were awesome. Hope, I will not need to go back to Advanced auto parts on hwy70 garner. Management need to read these reviews and make right decision for their business.

Just when in to check to check if they could help me check my engine light. My understanding is that they walk out with you to your car to pug in the machine to find out what's wrong. The lady that works there told me they don't do it due to COVID-19. Well that's a first. She jus didn't want to do her job in my opinion. I came to AutoZone and the guy did his job. Don't waste ur time coming to this location.

Not friendly at all! I asked could I get a reading for my check engine light. The guy said I had to wait. There were no customers and 3 other staff members and all of them were standing around talking. Then 5 or 6 minutes later when they finished their irrelevant conversation not pertaining to work he came outside and gave me a piece of paper with the reading didn't even try and see if I wanted to purchase the part in the store.

I had the absolute worst customer service that I have ever had. I went to get a new battery for my truck. It was about 8:30pm when I arrived, store closes at 9. Brandon was who helped me. He would not look at me! He would only look at the screen or the battery tester or anything except me. Barely said a word except to ask year/make/model of the truck and which battery I wanted. He asked if I was going to turn in the old one tonight or bring it back. I replied that I'd turn it in tonight if we could install it. Didn't say a word, just clicked. We walked outside, I held the door open for him as he wheeled the cart out. Not a word. He replaced the battery and when he finished tightening the positive cable clamp he just said "you're all set". Then put the tools on the cart and went inside.I'm a relatively friendly guy to retail people. I know it can be a hard job. I've very rarely if ever not been able to "win over" someone who isn't talkative. I don't know what Brandon's issue was tonight but it was the most uncomfortable I've ever been with an auto parts guy.

They were incredibly unhelpful during the entire process of trying to replace my battery, and even upon presentation of the original receipt from 4 years ago of the original battery purchase, declined the warranty that was clearly stated of 5 years. They weren't able to pull up any of my data as none of their systems are connected. They offered to give me 25 dollars off of buying a new one, but only if I waited for 40 minutes for them to charge the battery and retest it after they had already gotten a report back saying the battery was bad. When asked about the warranty process, they claimed that there was no written documentation of their warranty system. When I declined, and said I was going to another car shop down the road, it took them 20 minutes to put my car back together and lost 2 bolts in the process. I will not be returning here, and I would not suggest it to anyone who values their time or money.

Had a check engine light and in need of help with young children in the car on a VERY hot day. Went inside and met Anthony, our hero then and now, that took his time, energy and expertise to help us - even though no sale occurred THAT day.... but because of Anthony being there, I ll definitely be back to this Advance Auto location!

Bought a Gold $150 battery a year ago. Came in to get it replaced and they said I had to have the receipt they couldn t look up the purchase otherwise. I drove home got the receipt returned and they said it wasn t bad. Won t start my truck and had it tested at auto zone and it s bad and the alternator tested good. On top of that the female manager was incredibly rude about it all. I will not be going back to this location.
