Jason was amazing. Was in town visiting family and my truck was not shifting correctly. He checked it out and helped me to make sure I would get back safely to Tennessee. Great service and really friendly.

I can't complain. We were out of town and broke down 5 miles from the shop and they were able to get us right in to do a pump seal replacement on our Ford excursion's trans. Very thankful for their availability and reasonable price. Super nice and I can't recommend them enough.

Have nothing but good things to say about Carolina Transmissions. Jason, the manager/ owner has been great to deal with. Easily the best price to repair, replace my transmission. Service was prompt and they will pick up your car within a 50 Mi radius of Franklin. If you have a problem with your transmission or brakes Carolina transmission and brakes company is the best in the area

Jason and his crew did a phenomenal job on replacing my transmission in my Subaru for me! Excellent customer service and great job on repairs. Fair prices too. I'd recommend this shop to family and friends.

Carolina Transmission was wonderful for us. Our van's transmission went out and they came and picked it up quickly. Jason kept us up to date. The quote to repair was the best around, but after they had done the work they found a bigger problem and had to get a whole new one, which was still a lower rate than everyone else and done in amazing time. Jason even walked us through looking for an issue that has come up since then just to make sure they were unrelated. We'd highly recommend them.

We were recently in Franklin on vacation and transmission on our 2017 Tahoe went out completely. Jason was kind enough to work us in and had it done in 2 days. I would highly recommend this company.Mark Hanson

Took my car to be fixed and was told I needed a replacement transmission. I received 2 year warranty but, no itemized receipt or any invoice. 4k later, and not even 6 months later, I had to have my car towed back to them due to transmission fault. A few months after that, transmission crapped out. They do not keep paperwork on file, as I was told, and refused to fix issues on them if I didn't have warranty papers in hand..My new transmission tech told me the transmission is going to need a lot of work and basically going to have to spend another 4k on it...

Jason was very helpful and informative had him replace our Nissan Maxima transmission and then some of our other vehicles. Before going anywhere else give them an opportunity to quote.

I went to see Jason at Carolina Transmissions. I was wondering whether my transmission was working properly. He drove my van and assured me it was fine, He also taught me a few tricks that I didn't know about my van. It's so nice in this awful world of ours that there are nice people that care. He didn't charge me a penny. I will go to him and recommend him to anyone who needs transmission or brake work. Great job Carolina Transmissions & Brakes!!!

Had an AT light on our 2013 Miata dash, Parked the car up. Was recommended to bring the car to Jason and the team. They came and picked the car up, did some diagnostic checking. And even though we have opted to part ways with our roadster due to the expense and issue that was found, Jason and the team has been nothing short of amazing. Kind, informative, communicative , not to mention budget friendly from a diagnosis stand point. We hate to have gotten the news we did on our little roadster, but that is no reflection on Jason and the team. I will definitely utilize them in the future if I need any type of transmission work done. From a customer service perspective alone they are top notch. After hauling my boat near 1k miles on a family trip I noticed some vibration when I braked. Nowhere near home I found Carolina transmission and they got me in and out in no time. I recently took my 1999 Chevy express van to have the transmission rebuilt at Carolina Transmissions. I have had the van for a little over three years and purchased it with only 41k miles on it. It now has 85k miles on it and is still very much a wonderful van that I'd like to continue to use for many years to come. The transmission was in need of a rebuild so upon asking around the Western NC area, I heard numerous times from reputable sources that Carolina Transmissions is the place to take your vehicle for any trans work. I did just that and literally could not be happier. They got me in right before the holidays and had the van completed days before I was expecting it to be done. When I picked it up and drove it for the first time, post rebuild, I was smiling the whole way back to where I was staying. The rebuild is perfect and the van shifts like it is brand new. I have been a collision repair tech for the past 12 years, active in the industry (ASE, ICAR, full BMW/PORSCHE certs) and I can report from a professionals perspective, that the work performed on my van, as well as the overall shop experience is the type of customer experience that every shop should strive for. The people I worked with on this were as professional and friendly as could be. The shop is clean and organized and the mechanics work together to make sure the customer experience is consistent with what I experienced taking my van to them. I will absolutely be taking my truck to them if, it ever needs trans work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! If you get behind the wheel and smile when your car is running just right, do yourself a favor and bring your repairs to them. While vacationing in the area, I noticed the transmission was acting strange. I took it to be checked at Carolina Transmissions in Franklin. Very friendly service! After a test drive they diagnosed it was the torque convertor. When I explained I would only be in the area another week, he recommended having it replaced when I got back home. The honesty was very refreshing and they didn't charge for the test drive. If I had been around longer this would be the shop I would use. Highly recommend them!Service: Transmission

Carolina Transmission replaced the transfer case in my '02 Denali. They were provided with new u joints to also replace (included in the $2500 I paid). Two of those were "missed" and not replaced. After unsuccessfully trying to arrange a convenient time for them to install the remaining u joints, I gave up. When having a new engine put in by another shop, they had discovered the seals in the transfer case we're now leaking. I took it back over to Carolina Transmission for replacement of all three seals and the "missed" u joints...Jason was resistant to replace ALL three and only replaced two (the work that should've been covered under warranty). I provided them with the two missed u joints, again, that were initially paid for to install and they once again, did not complete the work. In my opinion, they were helpful only until they received payment and beyond that, have not stood behind their work or what was originally agreed upon. It'll be interesting to see how long the work the did perform holds up. This was within just a three month period that the seals began leaking.

A very professional team and a clean facility. Brought my Nissan Titan in to have the transmission and rear diff oil changed, it drives so much smoother. The prices are fair and the customer service is top notch. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here.

We had our transmission done in Sep 2019. At the time we were told if we had problems on the road, to give them a call and they would work with us. $2900. In January, 4 months after the work, we had to take it to Chrysler in Gaineville Fla. They had not replaced the engine mounts and one was totally broken, the other was worn half through. When I called Carolina Transmissions , they said they did not BY LAW, have to change them. NICE..$500 more because they weren't diligent enough to do it right. Would never use them again

Professional, reliable and honest, would highly recommend. After my local mechanic told me that my Jeep's problem was in the transmission and needed a specialist, I was expecting the worst. I anticipated being out thousands of dollars for a lengthy repair and wondering how much time and money it would cost to have my Jeep towed to Franklin. When I called Jason, I informed that my Jeep's transmission was probably shot. he said he'd take a look at it and tow it free of charge. After he went through the transmission, he noticed a problem with the third gear and, to my relief, told me that he didn't think any further repairs would be necessary and that the Jeep would most likely be ready in a few days (not the weeks I had been anticipating) ! This piece of good news saved me thousands and, true to his word, the Jeep's transmission was fully repairs when he said it would be. I would unequivocally recommend Carolina Transmission for anyone's transmission needs.

Service was good on initial rebuild but 2 months after warranty was up it s all my problem. Didn t even offer to tow it into the shop even though they advertise free towing. So for anywhere from 800-1000. They will rebuild it again so I can bring it back next year? Don t think so I m done with Carolina transVery dissatisfied

Came in with a possible transmission problem. Jason did a quick test drive spent more time than he needed, no charge. Definitely recommend this shop for integrity and professionalism.

The guys were super helpful in figuring out what was wrong with my car. Ended up I did need a new transmission, dropped my car off on a Monday and it was ready Thursday morning and the price was real reasonable! They were very friendly and didn't run over me because im a girl!
