Shop was very efficient. Communicated well. Provided photos and videos during repair. Very professional and reasonably priced. Will be handling all my automotive needs. Tops in Fayetteville for sure.

Had my car at S&H to get service. Pick up my car with a fingerprint on the hood, fender, door, and door handle. They also got oil or grease inside the car on the door panel, steering wheel, dirt, and oily footprints on the floor mat. I had to get a new under-splash shield and inner fender because they did not replace worn-out or put in some push clip for the plastic cover under the car. It was better when it was H&L, the staff had quality work and care.

Totally dissatified with this auto repair shop. Vehicle stayed in shop from Dec. 18, 2023 until Jan. 10, 2024. Unacceptable. Vehicle is still not repaired. This shop has major issues. 1. Lack of qualified technicians is the major one. 2. Will not update you on your vehicle. 3. Multiple jobs being worked on by one technician. Strongly recommend this establishment be avoided. Old management was outstanding and produced quality work.

we took our handicapped van to S&H in Reilly Rd. Fayetteville,NC, my wife and i highly recommended this shop to anybody. Very friendly and most of all very knowlegable technicians. They did some major works to our vechicle and i may say that we are very satisfied. Shout out to Chris....good job. Thank you Chris, Rhonda, Mr. Mario and the other two technicians.

Do not bring your vehicle here. They don't do great work and are overcharged for the job. You will get the vehicle back in worse shape than came in.

I had a flat tire I find this auto close to me there are so kind and fixed my tire fast they took just 10 minutes to fix it

Went and brought a used tire for $45 on Friday at 3 pm Saturday at 10 am the tire was busted. Yes I know it was a used tire. But I should ve at least gotten more then 24hrs out of it

I went to S and H after going to 4 other places due to a stripped oil plug that one of these places caused. NONE of them were able to fix the problem, one place refused to even work on it. S and H fixed the problem and I was able to pick up my car within 2-3 hours. I also got 2 inspections done here before for an excellent price. Everyone in the shop is very friendly, polite, and professional. I would highly recommend S and H to anyone!! Convenient location as well. I also got a used tire put on here, very affordable and they were pretty quick.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I've been trading here over 20 years. Over that time I have had 4 vehicles as an adult and 2 as a teenager. All we're serviced by H&L and all ran fine when I sold them. I really like the managers Tommy and Joe, both are good Christian men. Unless I tell them to "just fix it" they always call me with an estimate prior to repairs. The prices have always been reasonable and honest. I have never heard a single cross word said to a customer the entire time I have been taking my vehicles here. I think this is probably the longest standing garage in Fayetteville, you don't keep your doors open that long if your not honest and treat customers fairly. I think they do mostly everything but transmission rebuilds and body work. Definitely recommend.

The gentlemen at this shop were very competent and helpful. They were also quick!! I desperately need my my rear wheel bearing fixed and they got it back to me within hours. The knowledgeable men helped me out with my wheel bearing and were honest and upfront about the services I needed (which is hard to come by), I will for sure visit again for further services on my Ford. 10/10 recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Originally gave them a 1 star review then gave them the opportunity to fix what was going on. Changed it to 5 stars because Joe or whatever his name is was very apologetic and agreed that he would fix my car and discount me if I changed the rating. Cool. I paid 240 for them to fix the issue & a day later my car was still making a grinding sound when I brake and accelerate and the same squeaking sound that he said he barely heard. At this point, I won t be going back.Edit: & At the end of the day, if they would have fixed my car. (The same sound I heard a month prior, that another mechanic had no problem fixing) I wouldn t be going through this 3700 miles later. I can guarantee it.

I have been taking my cars here for over 12 years and have always had excellent customer service and excellent repair work. The pricing has always been inline with the prices other auto repair shops charge and I have never had any problem with my cars that they could not fix. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants to feel like people care about their work!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We have had four cars serviced here over the last 2.5 years. They are the best kind of auto shop in that they are straightforward and accommodating. They go above and beyond to be helpful and always complete services in a timely manner. On top of that the prices are extremely fair with no extra or hidden fees. I only wish they could complete all our services but there are a few things they don t do they are mostly for maintenance. We will continue to be loyal customers as long as we live in Fayetteville!

They were friendly and quick. When I put my car in to be fixed it provides a list of things I knew were needed. They got to work fast! Called me to let me know of any problems they found and explained in amazing detail. Even found the best prices. With the auto parts right next door all the parts needed did not have a delay.

H & L Auto has been our only car repair and maintenance center in the 18 years we've lived in Fayetteville. We live in days when it's hard to know who to trust. I don't have to worry about that with H & L. They always give me good work at a fair price and it's performed in excellent time. The staff are friendly and easy to deal with, bending over backwards to make sure you get the best service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend H & L Auto for any repairs and servicing you may need.Service: Brakes

I was going to take my car to a dealership, but after they quoted me an exorbitant amount I shopped around and found H & L and after reading reviews decided to check them out.They are truly the best local auto service I have ever gotten work done at. Their prices are extremely reasonable, they are professional and get the job done efficiently. Down to earth manager who is very helpful and will make sure your car is good to go. 5/5

Took my vehicle in during the first week of September 2014. My daughter had stated she had an issue with the brakes while driving it, I had not personally noticed an issue but figured I'd have them checked out. Left my vehicle with them and waited for them to check it and call me. Received a call stating that the back breaks were good, still had 60% life in them but the front breaks needed the break pads changed and the rotors changed due to them being unable to be turned. They quoted a $360.00 price to do the work. Husband decided he would change those things himself for that price so we paid them the $35.00 fee for checking the brakes (no problem with this), and took our vehicle home. Husband went out and purchased new brakes and rotors, went to go replace them and found that the rotors on the vehicle were in good shape, almost in the same condition as the new ones. So he just changed the brake pads and returned the rotors that were $60.00 per side. So the vehicle is now fixed and only the brake pads needed changing, although according to my husband those weren't really that bad either but he changed them anyway since he already had taken the time to removed the tire and everything. I took my vehicle to H&L because of the reviews I had read, but really disappointed that they seemed to misrepresent what needed to be done. To others I would say, make them call you in and show you exactly why the repair needs to be done before agreeing to pay for repairs.

There is a reason I keep bringing my vehicles to H and L even though they aren't the closest shop. I always feel like I am working with honest mechanics that have my best interest in mind. As a matter of fact, my truck is with them as I write this. I've been bringing my truck here for years now, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. H and L has saved me money in the past with honest advice and recommendations, even when I've asked for more expensive work to be done. They've always called me to have unexpected repairs approved and have always told me up front what I can expect it to cost when asked. I've never gotten a surprise bill with H and L. They care about quality work far more than the bottom line, and that's why I will continue to use them. On top of all of that, they are just extremely polite, flexible, and personable people to work with.

I do not recommend this place at all! My son brought his car there for a problem with his gas tank. He left with the same exact problem a new battery and a $300 bill. My son was told that the battery was so weak that it was sending false signals to the gas tank. When we took the car back up there to let them know the problem was still there they said my son never told them about the problem with his gas tank. The only thing the mechanic wrote on the ticket was that the check engine light was on and it runs bad. My son was asked if the check engine light was on and he told them yes but his main complaint was the problem with his gas tank. They refunded his money for the battery but he still had to pay $78.00 for a diagnostic test and $115.00 for labor. They eventually gave him another $37.00 back because we didn t think it was fair he was charged labor for a service that was not requested! We will never go back to this place! I feel like they took complete advantage of my son! The manager said it was his mechanics word against my sons word and his mechanic is an honest man. It s not my sons fault that the mechanic didn t write everything down on the ticket. So pretty much he called my son a liar!

After a long battle with several different mechanics to fix my Jeep Wrangler and continually failing my emissions inspection for my tags. I had gone to S&H to see if they could help repair my jeep and solve my emissions inspections dilemma. I was educated on a inspection waiver as well as a grant to acquire my tags. I had no idea about the waiver or grant for a emissions repair to help cover the cost of my jeep repairs. If it was not for the honest and professional work from S&H. I would still be spinning my wheels on trying to get my jeep repaired and driving around with expired tags. The best part was they provided reasonable pricing for services.Services: Carburetor cleaning, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I had taken my car to another shop that sent me home 3 times saying they fixed the part. Brought my car to these guys and not only did the look at it, they were able to tell me exactly what it was, show me and get it fixed in 1 days time. The other auto shop was racking up the prices and adding things to to bill and never fixed anything. My car has been out of the shop for 2 weeks now, running normal again. Luckily I found these amazing men, because I know if something does happen they will be there to help!

Needed a new piece for my wheel. Pep boys quoted me $526. These guys quoted me $279. Also ended up needing brakes done too so payed the same price for two things instead of one and they got my car to me in the same day!!! Defiantly would go back if I need any more repairs. Nice people and great prices. They aren t trying to screw you over in your wallet.
