Very honest business and took care of me immediately. Will continue to work with them.Update I had an issue with my vehicle unrelated to the work they did and they went above and beyond to take care of me. This is a great shop with amazing people and good customer service. They work with the customer schedule and are very understanding. They have provided me the best service in town so far. I refer them to anyone and everyone.

They did a great job with my vehicle and I really enjoyed the professionalism when I spoke with everyone there. Definitely helps when you have people who can relate to your situation and help make you laugh. A big plus when it comes to courtesy. Highly recommend

Josh, owner of Monkey Wrench, is very professional in his automotive business. The staff is very friendly and I would recommend Monkey Wrench to everyone who needs a mechanic. They never start on any work until they've received permission from the customer. Great people, and excellent service!

Monkey Wrench Automotive saved us. We were traveling and started having to add air to our tire repeatedly. We stopped at Monkey Wrench Automotive and they were able to fix the puncture in our tire that had been pierced by a 2-inch screw within a very short time and charged us a very low price for their work. These are great people, and we are so glad we found them. If you are in the Fayetteville, NC, vicinity, you should definitely check them out for your automotive needs.

I am utterly dismayed by the level of service I received at this establishment. I brought in my car due to persistent issues with the tail lights going out, a problem I had diligently attempted to address by changing the bulbs multiple times and checking both connectors and fuses myself. However, the reception I got was anything but professional or reassuring.The front desk lady, who was my first point of contact, was noticeably indifferent and seemed to dismiss my concerns right from the start. When I attempted to communicate the steps I had already taken to diagnose the issue, I was barely listened to. Instead of acknowledging the effort and investigation I had already put into solving the problem, the mechanic, who briefly appeared, was quickly overshadowed by the same front desk person. She interrupted our conversation to push a $150 evaluation fee on me, which I found odd but agreed to, hoping for a thorough examination of the electrical system that I suspected might be at fault.Upon my return, the situation only worsened. I was informed that nothing was wrong, and all they had done was replace the bulbs a task I had already performed multiple times. When I inquired about any potential electrical issues that could be causing the bulbs to fail so frequently, the responses were vague and unhelpful. It was clear there was a significant communication gap, as the front desk lady had to repeatedly check the paperwork, unable to directly articulate what had been done or investigated regarding my car s issues.When I questioned the rationale behind the $150 charge, especially given that their service only replicated the steps I had already taken, I was met with a dismissive explanation that they are paid by the job and checking the already verified connectors and fuses was a time-consuming task. This interaction left me feeling exploited and convinced that the evaluation was not only unnecessary but also a tactic to levy additional charges without providing any real solutions or value.It s deeply frustrating to have spent $150 only to be back at square one, with no resolution in sight and a feeling of having been dismissed and undervalued as a customer. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and technical insight at this establishment is alarming. I came in hoping for help and guidance but left feeling taken advantage of and ignored. I strongly advise others to consider alternative service providers who value their customers and listen to their concerns. I, for one, will not be returning.

Rating : 5 starsCar : MINI Cooper 2005Reason : good place to take your MINI to. Mine is 2005 and not only do they do a professional job but also a honest job as well. I use to go to dealership for all repairs but I think from now on I ll continue to just go to Monkey Wrench even for oil changes. Last time I had a repair I dropped my car off there at the shop and they even picked me up once when finished. Very appreciative of the customer service and skills along with knowledge.Would I recommend to others : YesCost : Parts and labor are reasonable.

I dropped my car off to be fixed and ended up sick in another state. They were really helpful with holding it until I was better. The staff is really friendly. Also really happy with my car service!

So I brought my truck to them for some issues that it was having. I have an extended warranty and advised them of this. They got my truck on Friday and called me Monday and said they found some issues and that the warranty company was not covering the whole price, and I would have to come out of pocket 900 dollars. Mind you, my deductible is 100, and I did sign that I would pay the diagnostics fee of 300 dollars if they didn't find anything. So I called the warranty company and found out they found the priced online at advance auto parts. I called back to the service Manger Aaron and he said, "Let me call them, and I'll call you back." This is now Tuesday the 29th. He calls me back and says he can't find prices for what they are saying. I start asking him why he can't get the prices on advance auto website and the Manger Aaron flat out tells me I can get them for the price but I am not in the business to break even I'm in the business to make money. So I asked if they would work on the fees, and he said no. I then asked to speak to Josh, the owner, about my situation, and Aaron said he was not available and won't be till maybe Saturday, and he would call me whenever he had time. This shop doesn't stand by honesty, integrity, or anything they say. This is simply a shop that cares about money and nothing else. Watch out if you go to them as they only care about money, as their manager says. Also, I have already found a repair place that is doing the repairs for the cost of the items and not trying to rip you off for extra money.Update: That is correct they did call and try to get us to come back after they fired the person who said he was the manger. They also offered us to give us a credit to go back but who is going to accept that once the problems were done. Not to mention, I already took my truck to another shop that has not only fixed it but did it under my 100 dollar deductible. As far as changing the review. I did tell Josh I would update the review if they did make the situation right. Is that blackmail by saying hey ill update my review if we can make it right. No, that's not blackmail. That's what a normal person would do.They would do an update saying hey Josh called me and fixed it, and at least that part would be in there. I never once said I would delete the review if you give me my money back. So this is my updated review. The only solution they had was to come back to the same place where you were done wrong, and any person who has been in that situation doesn't want to come back. He can try to use my words to make his point of view but the fact is your service advisor who now has been fired told the warranty company the wrong info and due to that and his advisor words of needing to make money this is why were here right now. There was a misunderstanding that is true but when it's your fault as a business you make it right and sometimes it costs you to fix your workers mistakes or miss understandings.

We had one of our older model work trucks become unable to shift into drive or reverse out on site. Had it towed to Monkey Wrench Auto one day and got pricing to repair with in the hour, and drove it out of their very efficient shop the next day. This kind of service now days is hard to come by. Will be back to see Josh and his friendly/professional staff with all our fleet repairs. Highly recommend them to all!

I had a last minute request of these guys and they came through. After not being able to get into my normal shop I called these guys letting them know what I m asking is a lot and if they couldn t get it done in the timeline I was asking I wasn t going to hold it against them. We had a trip planned and we were leaving that Thursday morning. We couldn t drop the van off until Tuesday morning. I knew a couple things that were wrong but asked if they would do a diagnostic to check for some other things. They found a bigger issue I had heard about previously but it had gotten worse. With a full schedule they squeezed my vehicle in between others and worked longer hours to meet the unrealistic timeline. Josh, Aaron, and Anna were all great to speak with. I m thankful for the techs I didn t speak with and worked on my car too.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Auto battery maintenance, Oil change

Cannot recommend this business enough. I had a new transmission put in my Camry which took months for parts to come in but they kept me updated the whole way. Once it came in, they let me know and were able to work in new tires and alignment same-day which I desperately needed.Skip ahead a couple weeks, my shifter dropped out of park and stuck into drive (not good, freaked me out) and I called first thing the next morning. The owner, Josh, personally drove to my apartment complex to diagnose so I didn't have to call a tow truck. He knew what to do and fixed 'er right up, no charge! Josh is a stand up guy and runs a respectable, thorough and clean shop. Finally found a reliable mechanic in this town!Service: Transmission

I had a coolant leak on my 2010 Audi A4. They were suppose to diagnose the problem the day after I dropped it off but I had to call 3 days later to get an update. It took 10 days to fix my hose and thermostat. The work got done but when I receive my car, I had black handprints and marks on the top of my car. I know my car is older but I still handle it with care and keep it clean.

I don't usually leave reviews but I felt I needed to in this case. I was having transmission issues and needed to find a shop to take care of my truck. I found MonkeyWrench online, read some reviews, went to speak with them and decided to carry my truck in. They notified me I needed a new transmission and transfer case and dealt with my warranty company for the work that needed to be done. They did the work in a timely manner and were upfront about everything they did. They even worked with me on lowering my out of pocket expenses. Thats a rare quality you see in businesses these days. I just wanted to say Thank You to Ashley and Josh for taking great care of me and I won't hesitate to bring any one of my vehicles to MonkeyWrench for service and repairs.Service: Transmission

I've been going to MonkeyWrench for quite a while now for my vehicles needs. No matter who it is that helps you.. you will receive quality service. They have a friendly face as soon as you walk in who is very helpful. Josh is the owner and ensures you are taken care of. It's in a great location not too far from 95 for anyone traveling through the Fayetteville area. All the technicians are informative and detailed in their work. It's a very clean shop.. you can tell they take pride in their business. They always have fair prices and are the most trustworthy technicians I have ever met!

My experiences with Monley Wrench Automotive have always been positive. They are always plain-speaking, fair and make sure you are satisfied with what they have said they would do. They do great work and their customer service is excellent. One can't ask for more! I recently brought my vehicle in (by appointment) for state inspection. Their work was fast, friendly and I was on my way to my next meeting with time to spare! I would recommend them to anyone!

First time using this shop. Customer Service was 5 Star. Needed a transmission replaced on my vehicle. They worked with my insurance company even when my insurance company failed on their end. Monkey Wrench work with me until I was able to get my vehicle back on the road. They did a great job on my car. It took a while but this was because parts had to be ordered and it took a while for parts to arrive. Delays on everything is quite common now and are to be expected. The staff is very friendly and their prices are fair. I will continue to take my car here and high recommend them to others needing services.

The Office Tech Ashley was great at handling the seemingly reluctance, of my Warranty Company. She kept me informed and acted promptly to get my car serviced. I ve had great experiences with Monkey Wrench Automotive. Josh and the folks there are honest, courteous and knowledgeable about vehicles. They strive to give you the most for your money and do so in an efficient manner. Their waiting area is comfortable and restroom is clean. I strongly recommend their business!

Excellent customer service. Friendly atmosphere, first class diagnostic and service skills. Made us feel comfortable with leaving our car in his capable hands and confident that it would be fixed right the first time and it was. An overall experience of 10 out of 10! I will be returning with all of my European and other vehicles to this place because of my positive experience. Its good to know that someone honest like this still exists in an uncertain world that we live in.

I would highly recommend Josh and his team at Monkey Wrench Auto. I am single female and have been completely pleased with his honesty, real talk (which means he gave the cost upfront including labor so I could prepare), and fast service. My 2004 Toyota 4Runner was in need of some work, the problems were fixed and I will continue to use them. Very thankful.

I Dropped my van off to get a complete tune up and oil change done. They were nice enough to take me home while the work was done to my van so I wouldn't have to wait there with my 1 year old baby. They even checked to see why the replaced catalytic converter(done somewhere else) was still causing my check engine light to come on. They reset the light and it never came back on. They provide Great customer service and honest dependable service. I will be a regular customer for all my vehicles maintenance needs from now on.

I ve been using MonkeyWrench Automotive for almost a year now. Josh is friendly and very knowledgeable on foreign or domestic vehicles. I ve had him do several major jobs for me and they re always on time and the price is what he quoted me! He has worked on my two Ford vehicles and also my Honda vehicles and he stands by his work . I am a satisfied customer and will be bringing all my automotive repair work to him. Had a bit of a mystery on my hands with my truck. I was trying to juggle appointments for an upcoming surgery and figure out what was going on with the truck at the same time. Josh, Amber and the guys were so incredibly efficient, nice, accommodating and worked hard to track down my problem. Not only did they find it, they of course fixed it! A very good friend sent me to them and praised their knowledge and genuine desire to get people back on the road. He was right on the money, and I'm glad to have found my new go-to for all my repair and maintenance needs. Highly recommend Josh and the crew. Thanks, guys!!
