Strongly recommend for suspension and general mechanic work!I had some suspension work done by them. Coilovers and other parts. They even saved me thousands over the local VW dealership by just giving me a simple tip to fix an ABS issue on my Jetta.

IMO best shop in the fayetteville/ Fort Bragg area to have your VW or Audi worked on. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable, reasonably priced and excellent results. I highly recommend.

Chris has always done right by me him and his other mechanic are the best who s worked on my S4. They just did the water pump and thermostat on it and the car is solid! Definitely use them for all VW and Audi vehicles!

I can't explain how pleased & grateful I am with the service, I received better service there that I ever had at the dealership ! I will take my Audi here for service forever ! My Audi drives better than when I 1st bought it ! I love this shop! Very professional and won't try to sell you on things your vehicle doesn't necessarily need. Took my vehicle in today and although they couldn't do the necessary repairs, they didn't charge me for the diagnostic service and their time. If you have an Audi/Volkswagen and are near Fayetteville, this is the place to go. Call first to see if/when they can get you in.

Chris took great care of my wife and daughter when they were on the road to Florida, even gave them a ride to a hotel. Good communication and got the job done staying late on the weekend. Wish I could take my car there if I lived closer.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I had the infamous timing chain issue that no other mechanic in town would touch. Everyone wanted to completely replace the engine with a donor. M & J Volkswerks diagnosed the problem over the phone, got me a estimate and appointment, and fixed it as good as new for ~50% of a donor engine. Every good mechanic is busy right now, so don't get impatient and go to someone else if you need engine work, these guys know VW/Audi.Service: Engine repair

Stopped by on Tuesday with what I thought was a bad fan. They came out and listened to it, and said it was the ac fan. Replaced the part on Thursday, and everything works great. Didn't try to replace the whole thing, just identified the problem and fixed it quickly. I will definitely be back anytime I need work on this car.

If I can give them 10 Stars I will ....I came to visit briefly from Raleigh and my car (Volkswagen CC) went into limp mode. I was referred to them by another auto body shop and THANK GOD the service and the staff is amazing. They knew we was far from home and they made us as comfortable as possible while the found out the issue. They are so informative with you while working on your car, they ask the major questions about your car and previous services ( they just don't assume the problem ). They remained working on my car 2 hours after closing, just to make sure we was able to make it home. They called the next day to make sure the car was running okay and I still couldn't thank them enough. They have just gained 2 new client, My sister and I would not mind driving to Fayetteville to get our cars (Volkswagen and Audi) serviced with M& J...It is DEFINITELY worth it!!!!

Horrible place. Caught them on camera going thru my car and belongs. They even changed all 4 tires on my car, and took good ones off. Just to replace all of them with their worse tires they had.! They purposely messed my whole car up. Who does that? I highly Don t recommend this company at all to anyone. There s some shifty workers and so called team leads that work here!!

I have taken my Mark IV Jetta to these guys several times and they are great. I have gotten New Exhaust installed by them. Most shops after installing it would be done with it, they told me to drive it over the weekend and come back in on Monday they would go under to make sure that everything was all right with the Exhaust system. I have had battery problem with my car I just called them say can I drive by and have you guys look if I need a new battery or not. They were like sure just come by we look at it for you. Other places would not do that at all. You would have to wait in line and get charged just for some one to look at your car for a minute.These guys are great to have work on your car. They are friendly as well. Love taking my car to these guys because I know its in good hands with them.

2011 Tiguan TSI. The check engine light was on, the car idled roughly until warm. To fix the problem, replaced the timing chain, which would also fix the oil leak curing the vacuum leak hopefully getting the car to run right. I hadn t gone 200 yds when the light was back on and I had to hold the car at high idle to keep it running. $1800 later, obviously not fixed. The mass amount of oil under the car the next morning indicated the oil leak REALLY wasn t fixed, coming from the side of the engine that houses the timing chain, and the side on which they did all the work. After more communication, I was told that the culprit was probably the rear main seal. They were guessing and costing me more money. Maurice and his band of merry mechanics are spectacular. I came across the M&J business in a VW forum a few years back, and what a find that proved to be. The prices are reasonable, the mechanics are knowledgeable, the resident pups are friendly to regulars, and most important the work is truly reliable. We had one repeat (electrical, of course) issue that briefly stumped Maurice. He wanted to thoroughly investigate and drove our car for two days before comfortably handing over the keys. We never once pulled out of the shop's lot thinking twice about whether or not we were receiving our car at its best.I should add that my brother owns a trucking business and mechanic shop. We have phone consultations with car issues, and quite often he will give me a ballpark quote as to what his business would charge for the repair. M&J always had a similar take on the car problem at hand and the work estimate would be within $50 of my brother's--sometimes lower than. Of all my years driving VWs this was a first.My only qualm is that M&J will be a three hour drive from our next duty station. If only they would open a satellite shop in Georgia!

These guys are awesome! They completed some motor work that I started from a timing chain tensioner failure. They had the car back together and running in no time. Parts and labor cost were very fair! I highly recommend.

We've taken our car here three different times and it was only fixed once. The past two times the car has been returned to us with the same issues we took it there to fix. Something as simple as the car overheating. paid for all the parts and the service and yet the car is still overheating. One more chance to fix this before we take our business to someone who actually knows what they're doing or someone who isn't trying to rip people off.

I don t even know what to say.. not only did these guys fix my car that NO ONE else in town could, they were super fast! Told me 2 days, ended up being same day.. oh and guess what? 700$ cheaper. I will not trust anyone else with my VW! Friendly.

I've been taking my Jetta to M&J for the last year, and I have never been disappointed by their service. Their prices are fair -- so much cheaper than the dealership that it makes the dealer seem almost criminal. I've taken my car to them for everything from routine maintenance to replacing my CV boots and front axle. They work quickly. I've never had to leave my car with them for longer than a day. And they don't make you wait longer than a few days for an appointment. When I call, they always tell me to bring it in the next day. And they go out of their way to give you good service. I needed a bulb replaced in my headlight, so they went to the store to grab a bulb and installed it for me in five minutes. If you live in Fayetteville and you drive a VW, you'd be crazy not to go here. Sorry to disappoint the last reviewer. I'm not a family or friend. Just a happy VW owner.

Love these guys! So laid back and very honest. I thought for sure my alternator was bad on my VW Jetta and absolutely no one in town had an alternator for my car... it was so frustrating. Just when I thought hope was lost, I found these guys and decided to make one last call. They came through for me with such short notice and were awesome. It turns out that what was wrong had nothing to do with the alternator at all and they were honest and only charged for my new headlight. They saved me sooo much money!! I'm definitely a new client and would recommend them to anyone with a VW or Audi.

The owner let me drop off my car after closing hours so they could look at my Jetta first thing in the morning and see why my engine light keeps coming on. He called me the next day saying that a hose was loose, so he fixed that. Also, that a couple of other things on my Jetta weren't put in correctly so he fixed them as well (my mistake for taking it to places that don't specifically work on VW's). He also topped off my windshield wiper fluid.He did ALL of this FOR FREE! He took time out of his day to help me and help fixed problems other repair shops created. I couldn't believe it. What an amazing, honest, and kind person. I hope I don't have problems with my 2003 Jetta anytime soon, but when I do at least I know that I have an amazing place to take it to. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Oct. 2014: The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) came on in my Jetta. I called the shop and they said come on down and they will hook it up to their VCDS diagnostic scanner for free. Turns out it was a bad glow plug and I fixed it myself. Their generosity allowed me to discover what was wrong with my car. These guys are very friendly and awesome!Nov. 2014: Took my Jetta here so they could replace the timing belt along with all the other appropriate parts to go along with it. Stopped at two other shops besides Volkswerks two get pricing quotes. Wagenhaus wanted more than the local VW dealership to do the job, but Volkswerks had the best price by far. The service advisor at the dealership even recommended Volkswerks as the only other place in town that he would take a VW to get worked on. M&J Volkswerks did a great job and the next time I need some major service on my car I am definitely coming back!

Do not go to this place. They have horrible communication when it comes to getting your parts and what not. They fixed a part on my car that later i found out was not a priority and then 450 dollars later they say o yea this also needs to be fixed (original noise and problem) and say that will cost another 400. I own a 06 vw jetta and I will never go there again id rather spend my money elsewhere.

This shop has repeatedly impressed me on multiple occasions. Done multiple major and minor jobs on two of my vehicles. The staff is really down to earth, helpful, knowledgeable, and honest.
