Recommend by a friend. This hidden gem is the go-to for professional, honest service. He takes the time to listen to your vehicle concerns. He does a thorough inspection and shows you what the problem is. Most shops think females don't know or want to understand their vehicle. He takes the time and addresses your questions. He is an awesome mechanic and very honest.

A++ Highly recommend!Absolutely knows what he is doing. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, professional. Prices are fair and great. I will return in the future, for more of his work.Context- 1968 Mustang needed carburetor and timing adjustment. I simply did not have the time. James knew exactly what to do, and had my car done that morning! Car runs perfect, purrs like she used to (except a little louder, now with the headers on there). I will return for the head/ valve job in the future, maybe even floor pan work.

Called 3 dealerships to remove a broken cap on the coolant reservoir. All claimed it would take 2-3 days because they have to assess the situation and see what they had to do. I googled ma and pa shops and James Taylor Auto Repair came up with outstanding reviews, so I gave this small shop a shot. Impressed, wowed, amazed, flabbergasted, none of these words describe the respect and service that this guy provides. I popped the hood, showed him the simple problem, and he said "NO PROBLEM", pulled the van around back, and 5 minutes later he was backing the van out! He told me I was all set and to have a great day! If you understand old school mechanics and service, that can look and listen and understand the problem, knowing exactly what needs to be done, that's who he is! He can get it done quickly and correctly.

Definitely a professional mechanic who knows what hes doing. I took my Honda Civic in to get diagnosed and fixed and literally the next day they called and said its fixed. Now my Honda runs like new and it took no time. They are definitely my go to mechanic from now on and Ive been to several mechanic shops here in town. Thank you so muchService: Engine repair

James and his team have been life savers for my vehicular woes. They've repaired multiple mechanical issues with my two vehicles as well as providing body work on more than one ocassion. They're vast knowledge and exceptional service has gained them a customer for life! It's so difficult to find genuine, hard working, and honest people these days. I'd give them 10 stars if I were allowed.

I took my 2010 Mini to this person for a tune up on my aunt recommendation as she stated the are really good and honest. Well don't know how true that would be because of what happened. First off the cost I know Mini repairs can get up there but a tune up that did not replace the fuel filter and I provided the parts for 300..wow excessive. Basically this was a fancy oil change. When it was discovered that the car had some other major issues I was quoted a repair price in the thousands. I could not afford that at the moment so I asked them to complete to tune up , which they said they did and I had my cousin pick the car up on a dolly. A buddy of his is a BMW mechanic in Goldsboro so he towed to him to take a look. One of the first things he said was well your spark plugs are burnt out...I was like how I just paid 300 dollars to have them replaced and even provided the plugs which cost me another 115 from autozone....So James Taylor Auto Repair if you replaced my plug how are they burnt out and the car was never driven from your shop?

AC went out O NO! Pulled into Jame Taylor Auto. Guys came out to truck and discovered some fan that cooled some coil wasn't workingon the road in an hour for a great price but most importantly AC!
