I use this place weekly for repairs, maintenance and inspections for cars at my dealership. Consistent 5 star results. You can count on them for honesty, integrity and experience every time.

Took my car here back in august because it wouldn t start. I got it back about 2/3 days later . I wasn t told someone took off the air breather and broke the hose and tried to tape it up, so oil was blowing out the end of the tube. Now I need a new engine for my car because I wasn t aware it had a leak .

My recent encounter with Fayetteville Auto Service has left me completely dissatisfied. I chose to visit this shop after experiencing power steering issues with my car in hopes of getting a professional diagnosis and effective repair. Unfortunately, this was not the service that I ended up receiving. As a result of the obviously rushed diagnosis by Fayetteville Auto s mechanic(s), I was informed that a bad clamp was the root cause of the power steering issues. I followed their recommendation and paid for the replacement of the clamp, along with having the power steering fluid replaced.I left the shop believing that my car's troubles were behind me.However, my relief was short-lived. The very next day, I found myself facing the same power steering problems once again.I immediately reached out to the shop to express my frustration and seek a proper resolution. I hoped that they would be committed to addressing the issue, especially given the payment I had made for the initial repair. To my astonishment, the person I spoke with (Dave) seemed indifferent to my concerns.Dave s response was both dismissive and unhelpful. I was told to temporarily resolve the issue by adding power steering fluid myself since I have a leak that they failed to fix and was advised to return next week after their vacation for a more thorough diagnosis. This lack of urgency and professionalism was astonishing. As a customer, I had expected Fayetteville to stand by their work and uphold their commitment to providing quality service. Unfortunately, my experience has revealed a lack of integrity and accountability on their part. I am left with an unresolved problem, additional expenses, and the need to seek a reliable auto shop that values its customers. In conclusion, my experience with Fayetteville Auto has been nothing short of disappointing. I strongly advise others to reconsider entrusting their vehicles to this establishment. The lack of effectiveness, accountability, and professionalism exhibited during my encounter is a stark warning sign of the subpar service one can expect at this shop.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I've been coming to this shop for a couple of years now. I'm a female veteran. I called here recently to get pricing for repairs on my horn. Instead of taking my money, this shop owner says your vehicle make has a recall for that part. I was educated and shocked at his honesty. Even more happy to call the dealership and find out that my repairs will be done for free. Most mechanics see a female and will take your money and then some. These are honest and honorable people! I pray God's blessing on these people. Very affordable too!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

My friend's vehicle broke down in Fayetteville last Thursday on his way to meet me at Carolina Beach. I drove up to give him a hand but between the two of us we could only determine that the spark plugs were not getting any fire, but we could not find the source. After consulting with one of his mechanic friends it was determined that it was likely a problem with the crank sensor. We had called multiple repair shops earlier that day but all were booked for at least a week. One shop said they could work on it and promised to send a tow truck...but it never came.It was getting late in the day when we stopped at O'Reilly's, hoping to get a scan tool. They don't loan those out we learned. My friend asked the clerk for the name of a nearby trusted mechanic and he quickly gave us the name Dave Baker, the owner of Fayetteville Auto Service. It was 5:05PM so we quickly drove down the street and caught Dave as he was leaving. We explained our situation to Dave and how we were in a real bind. Dave told us that his schedule was really full but that if we would leave the car in front of his shop, he would try his best to get to it. My friend was not comfortable leaving his car out in the open and really wanted it in a secured lot (it's Fayetteville after all).We returned to where my friend's car had broken down, to mull over our options. We were there maybe 5 minutes when Dave drove up with a scan tool. He said "It's the least I can do." After hooking up the scan tool and watching the tach, he agreed that it was a problem with the crank sensor.Dave had to be somewhere so he couldn't stay long, but we could tell he was mulling over our options, especially given that my friend wanted his car in a secured lot. In just a minute Dave came up with a solution for a secured lot and had a tow truck on the way.Once we saw that the car was secured, we headed back to Carolina Beach. The very next day Dave called to say that he had found the problem and that the car was ready. He found that a wire to the crank sensor had become chafed and was shorting out.It is so hard to find repair shops that really care about folks and literally go out of their way to help. Fayetteville Auto Service is one of those shops. Dave proved to be not only a great mechanic and true professional, but he also proved that he is a great human being.Thank you Dave for all that you did to help us!Service: Electrical repair

Had a coolant leak in my water pump two days before going on vacation. Towed my car to this shop on a Wednesday night and picked it up Thursday after work. Drove it up north Friday with zero issues. Quick and reliable service. Highly recommend.

This is a small mom and pop buisness and they have amazing prices! They are also extremely nice. They were able to see my car the morning after it broke down (when every other place was going to make me wait for at least 3 days) and get it fixed very quick for a super awesome price! I will definitely recommend them, go to them you won't be disappointed. PS. My car is running better now than when I first got it

Very professional, courteous, and honest people. Also, easy to work with & charge pretty reasonable costs. My car had a defective alternator and a worn out timing belt. They did an awesome job replacing both in a timely manner, and they only charged me costs for replacing the alternator....

If you're from Fayetteville or just passing through with issues like I had please visit this shop. Dave and his wife helped us get back on the road fast with a serious repair needed to our vehicle ! Our rear end fluid came out from a botched repair from a mechanic in my town. I had the work done before a long trip to visit family 1000 miles away. On our return home and halfway home I stopped in the town of Fayetteville because there was heavy smoke coming from the right rear tire area. I was able to see that the bearings broke through the axle from the heat that was created from friction and fluid was all over the place, gear oil. I called a few shops in the area and was told nothing could be done for at least a week and a half. I contacted Dave and was told to bring the vehicle in. This was on a Monday, we couldn't located a rear end until Wednesday and the job was done on Friday and we were on our way home. Thank you so much Dave and Tamara for helping us get back on the road! It's been a few weeks and the truck is still going good with the new rear end. Happy Holidays! The Harrison'sService: Steering & suspension repair

I went in with quite a few things that needed taken care of, and they handled everything with no complications, and even gave me a military discount. Very professional and upfront when talking logistics and finance. 5/5!! I took a few cards to hand out to friends and family, because this place is definitely a gem when it comes to auto care in Fayetteville!!

This auto service shop to me is the best in town. Family owned and honest service that you can count on. I took my Nissan Xterra to them which was in bad shape by the hands of another auto shop I went to Fayetteville auto service and they got my truck up and running like normal and did the work at a fair and great price. They are the only auto service I deal with. Great job

Great place to get work done on your car. Always quick to contact you and let you know what's happening with your vehicle. Work gets done quickly as well and their hourly labor rates are some of the lowest in town.
